“I highly recommend Marla as your event coordinator. She is knowledgeable, responsive, and approachable, and she provides excellent guidance throughout the planning process. If you have any event, double check she is an available the day of your event. I wished I would have known this before locking in my date.”
“The 1 week course for Gaslamp Bartending school was rigorous, intense, and absolutely worth every penny. Nino and Joe don't just teach the mechanical in's and out's of making cocktails, but offer a framework of how to absorb information, and think efficiently. In the end, whether it be about upselling drinks to learning how to maintain a peaceful bar, it is about giving customers a pleasant experience, and getting what you deserve as a bartender. What's more, however, is that you are not just thrown out into the world after graduating having to build your own resume with what you have and land interviews in the same old way... After graduating, Nino spends hours just covering the best methods and strategies on how to land an interview, and set yourself apart from others. Also, he offers to give feedback on your tailored bartending resume to make it look professional, but at the same time fitting to where you want to work, and is willing to maintain long-term connections to follow along and help your journey in bartending. To say the least, I am extremely grateful and satisfied to have learned from the invaluable experience of both Nino and Joe, and am excited and hopeful to see what my brightened future in bartending has in store for me.Thank you Nino and Joe!”
“This was the perfect venue for us and our 100 person wedding! It's beautiful and accommodating, and Chris is a wonderful person to work with! Would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful ocean view.”
“The Shout! House is a San Diego classic. It is, in many cases, the last place you go to before the night comes to an end. But definitely a good one. It is crowded, packed even, but the show makes up for that. Every customer is thoroughly checked and IDed before entering - which is a plus in my book. You realise quite quickly why it is called SHOUT! - because it is LOUD! - if you are looking for a place where you can whisper sweet nothings into your partners ear - this is not the place for you. But if you like music, brilliant and creative artists and generally like having a good time - go visit the Shout! You can request songs from the artists, engage in the ensuing piano battles or even perform on stage - if asked. The Shout! House is one of those places, where memories are made.”
“Absolutely stunning! Flora exceeded all our expectations as a wedding venue. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking beauty of the grounds. The lush gardens, elegant decor, and serene atmosphere created the perfect backdrop for our special day.
The staff at Flora went above and beyond to ensure everything was flawless. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and warm hospitality made us feel truly special. They were always available to answer our questions and accommodate our requests, making the entire planning process stress-free.
On the day of the wedding, everything ran smoothly, thanks to their impeccable coordination. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful the venue was and how well everything was organized. It was truly a magical experience, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our love.
If you’re looking for a venue that combines natural beauty with exceptional service, Flora is the perfect choice. We’re incredibly grateful to the entire team for making our wedding day unforgettable!”
“Stepping Into the Past: A Journey Through the Maritime Museum of San Diego
Visiting the Maritime Museum of San Diego isn’t just a walk along the waterfront—it’s a full-blown voyage into history. From the moment you step aboard the Star of India, the world’s oldest active sailing ship, you’re no longer in the 21st century. You’re in the age of wind and wood, salt and canvas, where every creak of the deck and flutter of the sails whispers stories from the 18th century.
⚓ Immersive and Unforgettable
The museum’s collection is astonishing—not just for its scale, but for how intimately you can explore it. You don’t just look at ships; you climb aboard them. You feel the tight quarters of a Russian submarine, marvel at the craftsmanship of Victorian-era steam yachts, and stand at the helm of vessels that once braved oceans long before GPS or radar.
It’s a strange, almost surreal feeling—like your modern self is intruding on a world that ran on grit, courage, and celestial navigation. You start imagining what life was like for sailors who spent months at sea, chasing trade winds and dodging storms. And somehow, the Pacific breeze makes it all feel real.
?️ Time Travel, San Diego Style
The museum doesn’t just preserve history—it animates it. Docents in period dress, hands-on exhibits, and even sailing excursions make the experience feel alive. You’re not just learning; you’re living it. It’s the kind of place that makes you reflect on how far we’ve come, and how much we’ve lost in the rush toward convenience.
Whether you're a history buff, a curious wanderer, or someone just looking for a unique afternoon, the Maritime Museum delivers something rare: a portal to the past that’s anchored right in the heart of San Diego.”
“It’s located right beside the Japanese garden.
This is the World’s Largest Outdoor Musical Instrument! They’ve got several free outdoor concerts perfect for families and little one. Plenty of sitting area and for kids to roam around if they can sit still.
If you’re in the area or in the Balboa park, definitely check them out. It’s quite an experience on its own. Pick a day with good weather and bring a hat.”
“This venue is breathtaking! The views from every single angle are incomparable.
My first time at the Skybox was in November 2018 for my besties wedding. I was a bridesmaid.
She and her now husband looked at several other venues but when they found this one they were obviously sold. It wasn’t just the views, the skybox has a plethora of vendors and caterers already familiar with their space. They met with caterers and florists and were able to make their selections. The tables and chairs were handled by the venue which made that easier.
They chose a sunset ceremony which was absolutely beautiful! Standing there supporting my friends in their nuptials with the sights and sounds was pretty euphoric. (Note: you are very high up so it can be extremely windy and chilly. Come prepared.)
The on-site event planners also part of the venue were excellent and on-point. They kept us on time and prepared for each stage of the ceremony and reception. They were there but not in the way and helpful when we needed. It was perfect!
The wedding party was escorted to a green room after the ceremony to wait for the venue to be changed over for the reception and for introductions. They brought us snacks and water or other libations while we waited. Once the bride and groom were announced the food service began. They chose multiple stations of things so guests could get what they wanted. That’s always my preference too as a person who likes to graze.
The food and dessert (churros and a sundae bar…the couple didn’t want an overpriced cake that would barely get eaten) were delicious.
The entire evening was an absolute dream! Their wedding is still the talk of our friend group.
Thank you, Ultimate Skybox, for making my favourite bride and groom’s dream wedding come true!”
“Such a beautiful & peaceful place to explore. Great place to get your steps in $14 for adult admission. $12 for students & seniors. Open daily from 10am to 7pm, last admission is 6pm. Once you pay for your admission, there's a couple show rooms with artifacts and history along the way. It's pretty interesting. There's a gift shop at the bottom of the hill. Gift shop is abit overpriced but fun to look at the pieces they sell. They have restrooms for use.”
“Celebrated my son’s college graduation and booked The Great Hall. Had a great time all due to Xanders instruction, expertise and guidance. By the end of the session we all succeeded throwing the tomahawks. I definitely recommend this place and plan on returning to try the escape rooms.”

“I like it a lot for such small venue.
The bar is really good, clean restroom and a beautiful view of downtown at the second level terrace,
i highly recommended.”
“I rented the coworking space for 3 years and it was exactly what I needed! The ladies who founded SDMF are awesome, prompt, reliable and efficient anytime I needed something while being a tenant. The 24/7 access was clutch for me and my schedule. The podcast rooms were great for me to get my creative space and work. It was also great to meet other creative/innovative people. They have created a great place for people like us to explore our passions and work on our crafts. HIGHLY RECOMMEND SDMF!!!”
“We couldn't be happier with our experience at The Vault for our company party! From start to finish, the staff and Holly our event coordinator went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was perfect. The spacious layout allowed everyone to mix and mingle comfortably. If you are looking for a unique space to create a rememberable event then THE VAULT is your place.”
“Overall it’s a great space for events. Parking in the area is challenging, I have been there on several occasions. The sound was terrible each time and the bar service was slow.”
“We went on a Cheese and wine cruise with flagship and captain Albert and fifa they were extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about the city would definitely recommend the trip.”
“Went here for Father's Day with my family and absolutely loved it. It was my wife, myself and the kids. I had never been axe throwing before and this place looked legit from the pics. When you walk in it's smaller than you expected but not in a bad way at all. Our host was great! He was entertaining and professional. He gave us instructions on how to throw and our group picked it up quickly. Super chill laid back atmosphere. There is a rage room in the next room behind the ax throwing area and you can hear people really busting things apart and letting out some aggression. It was a very fun, not intimidating experience and we'll definitely be back.”

“We had the absolute pleasure of working at Vesper to put on and document a private vow ceremony—and we truly cannot recommend this venue enough. From the moment we arrived, we were met with warmth, kindness, and a genuine eagerness to help from every single team member we encountered. Our main contacts, Tana and Heather, were incredibly lovely—thoughtful, accommodating, and fully committed to supporting our vision. And it didn’t stop there—everyone we interacted with was a joy to work with.
The venue itself is a complete dream. Immaculately clean, beautifully designed, and truly an open canvas in every sense—visually and creatively. From a photographer and filmmaker’s perspective, the natural light throughout the space was phenomenal all day long. The abundance of doors wasn’t just convenient—it added a fun, dynamic layer to the shoot that we genuinely loved utilizing. The bridal suite is perfectly lit, making it ideal for getting-ready moments and portraits, and every space—inside and out—feels thoughtfully designed and inspiring.
The location is fantastic, and the exterior is just as stunning as the versatile interior.
If you’re considering Vesper and Snake Oil Cocktails for your wedding or event—do it. You’ll feel seen, supported, and empowered to bring your dream to life. We’re so grateful for the experience and can’t wait to return!”
“We joined Santaluz really not knowing what to expect. My wife and I are not 'country club' type people. We liked the looks of the club and the people we met. That was just the beginning. Our family (2 young daughters and us) have met lifelong friends here. The restaurants, service, pool, racquet sports are all awesome (we don't play golf so not sure about that!).In particular, the pickleball program is amazing. Victor is the Pickleball Pro at the club and he is extremely knowledgable and willing to help anybody at any level. If you are considering joining a club in the area, we highly recommend Santaluz”

“Absolute Jewel on the Pacific Beach waterfront. Best views of the Pacific and Crystal pier and JRDN restaurant on ground floor is still one of the best seafood restaurants on the waterfront.”
“The Chosen One: The Heritage Flight
If you’re new to wine, Wine Tasting Combo A: The Heritage Flight is the perfect choice—it lets you try a variety of wines in one go. You’ll sample a fresh, crisp white, a fruity red, and a smooth, easy-drinking classic. Plus, when you reach the red wine, you can pick up some chocolate from the chocolate shop to pair with it. It’s a great way to explore different flavors with a little extra indulgence!”
“I had so much fun at this place, there go carts are fast and the staff was great! I took my granddaughter and that all she talks about. She want to take all her friends now, she loves this place!”
“My 8yo just finished up Spring Break Camp at APEX and I can’t say enough good things about her experience. I found APEX through Google searching and reading reviews. She’d never been to a camp before so she was very nervous showing up the first day. To say she fell in love with this place is an understatement. The coaches were all so helpful and welcoming. Everyday I picked her up she’d tell me about all of the fun she had and how she couldn’t wait to go back. 10/10 recommend the camps and look forward to trying some of the classes and open gym options!”
“Stepping into this co-working space, you instantly feel a wave of positive energy and creativity that's hard to find elsewhere. It's not just a place to work; it's a community where ideas flourish and connections are made. Also, a huge shoutout to Candace, our incredible community manager. She goes above and beyond in every possible way, making us feel valued and supported. Highly recommend to anyone looking for more than just a desk!”
“Kirk and team are amazing! Incredible quality, professional services and a great team that is incredibly attentive to detail. The creative direction is phenomenal and photography is best-in-class. I have worked with Hale at 2 different brands and recommend them highly!”
“Really fun girl's night painting. We arrived an hour before they closed and managed to get our pieces done with 3 minutes to spare! Staff is helpful and directions are clear and easy to follow. Prices are marked on each piece and you pick up your finished product a week later, after it's been fired. Great for all ages and genders.”
“Very Very nice people they come and greet you talk to you and are very welcome for you to come in. The bartenders are very nice and they keep an eye on your glass or bottle and if you have a sip left are you ready for another one and they have lots of dancing so kick up your boots and check it out.”
“You won't be sorry! It's beautiful and well went worth the stay. Clean rooms and great service. You'll love Theresa's restaurant inside the hotel.”
“We held our daughter's graduation celebration at The Point and were very happy with the final outcome. From start to finish, the staff was very prompt in responses and helpful with the planning before the event and during the event. I would totally recommend this event venue for special occasion celebrations.”
“Sparks Gallery is a wonderful venue to host an event. The historic building is a gorgeous mix of vintage and contemporary and the ever changing art creates a interesting backdrop for corporate, social and wedding events.”
“Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The ambience was a pleasant surprise. Totally worth it!
Just a tip regarding the parking - please park at the location itself, the parking ticket fee is partially waived off. Carry the ticket with you, as they scan it in order to waive off the fee. You pay upto 11$.
Another issue is finding the theatre. It may get a bit complicated. It's in the Hyatt building itself on the 4th floor. There are boards everywhere once you get outta the parking lot. So yeah, go have fun?”
