Glamour Pooch Grooming Spa
561 San Fernando Mission Blvd, San FernandoHello all pet owners. We have been going to this place for quite some time now. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Wendy and Lisi are always a pleasure to speak and work with. We are always called immediately when there is anything worth mentioning when it comes to our 2 pooches. Our doggies always come home smelling good and looking even better.

Liah's Pet Grooming Spa
1404 San Fernando Rd #106, San FernandoI love Liah's Pet Grooming. I switched dog groomers from Arts Grooming Pet and Supplies to Liahs because my dog unfortunately got pink eye after I took her for a bath and hair cut. I love how all of the workers treat the dogs kindly. Whenever I drop off or pick up, the dogs seem to be happy and at ease. They always do a superb job and pricing is affordable which is a bonus. Thankful for them and their kindness and patience.

Pet Care

Dill Veterinary Hospital & Reproductive Services
11207 San Fernando Rd, San FernandoToday was my pup's first visit to Dr. Johnson to address a digestive issue which has stumped my usual vet for months.
On-site parking was plentiful. I was immediately impressed with the staff -- they took the time to ask a lot of questions about the reason for our visit and what had been going on with the dog. They really listened and offered a lot of valuable information before we even saw Dr. Johnson.
Dr Johnson took us exactly on time and was a breath of fresh air. She seemed incredibly knowledgeable, which have me a lot of confidence. Also, I never felt rushed. She took plenty of time to listen to the entire history and talk through what seems to be a very sensible and practical treatment plan.
These days, most vets (not to mention doctors) make you feel like just another number on their endless conveyor belt. That was definitely not my experience with Dr. Johnson and the staff. They listened carefully, made me feel heard and took the time to make sure I understood everything they said. In my opinion, that is a level of professionalism and care very rarely seen these days!

Antojitos Tacana
La Rinda Plaza, 14705 Rinaldi St, San FernandoI was very excited to find a dish that one student took last school year to the potluck. They are called garnachas I believe and I had to try them. One order has 10 of these tiny tostadas and they were very good. I was able to order ahead of time and it was my first time visiting this place. The location is very tiny that as I walked towards it I passed it. lol The service was very good and quick. I arrived and it was ready for pick up. I will be returning to enjoy this delicious treat.

Shadow Grove Brewing
1116 2nd St, San FernandoAlways a great time here! I reserved the Dart Room for my birthday, and it was perfect. All my guests loved it! The party next to us had their own DJ--which ended up being a bonus because everyone was dancing all night. The beers? Chef's kiss! The whole vibe is just awesome--great environment, friendly staff, and a super fun atmosphere. Big thanks to Thomas & the crew for making it such a memorable night. Oh, and don't skip checking out the restroom--you'll see why!

The Grill Stories
233 N Maclay Ave A, San FernandoI absolutely loved my experience here! The Mediterranean/Caucasus-style dishes were incredibly fresh, light, and completely authentic. Every bite reminded me of the flavors I grew up with—being Hispanic and Middle Eastern, the food brought me right back to my grandma’s kitchen and my family back home.
The service was sweet, attentive, and classy without ever feeling overbearing. The space itself is modern, chic, and beautifully designed, yet still feels warm and family-friendly.
Their coffee is fantastic—perfect for a casual hangout, a good chat with friends, or enjoying some of their delicious sweets. And the wine selection is just the cherry on top.
Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for comforting, vibrant, and authentically made food. I can’t wait to come back!

San Fernando Brewing Company
425 Park Ave, San FernandoDropped by here after I got a hair cut since it was down the street from my hair stylist! My bf has been wanting to give this spot a try and it was perfect because they also had a Hibachi Truck out front (forgot to get the name). Nice open space, street parking but can get really busy. Staff are super friendly and they also have merch! The hibachi food truck was fantastic! Make sure to ask for their garlic butter if they are around, not sure how often they are at this brewery. I didn't get a photo but got a nice pinkish/purply Sour beer. I'm not much of a drinker and really enjoyed their Mexican cola with my food but whatever I tried from my bf's order was super delish! Looking forward to coming back with some friends. The TV's they have in here were huge and played sports. IG: @ammysalamii

Lola’s Kitchen
128 N Maclay Ave, San FernandoMy dad recommended Lola's Kitchen to me a while back. Since I was in the area and had some extra time, I decided to finally try it out. I came on a weekday just before 9 am and it was empty, while I was there a few other ppl trickled in. The space is quaint and down to earth. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They have a bathroom towards the back which is clean and well decorated. I sat at a small table near the entrance and appreciated the hook that was on the wall next to me to hang my purse. I ordered a green tea and the breakfast tacos w/fruit. Everything looked fresh and was good. I saw someone else mention the tacos were a bit bland, though I do agree they needed a pinch of salt, I prefer it to be undersalted than oversalted(You can always add salt to your liking after). I feel the prices as reasonable. I would eat here again.

Los Camarones Tacos Mariscos
1118 Pico St, San FernandoWe were looking for some authentic mariscos close by, and we stumbled upon this quaint little restaurant. It is in a lovely part of downtown San Fernando and the restaurant has a welcoming vibe and is very clean. Parking is no problem, and it is next to a huge parking lot and a historic site from the 19th century. First thing our server brought was the chips and salsa but to our surprise it included a little pot of bean dip with it. The beans were made with lard and were fresh and flavorful. We also ordered some guacamole and it was delicious, no shortcuts- with onions, tomato and cilantro. Anyone who has eaten at a number of Mexican restaurants will tell you that beans and guacamole inform your tastebuds of how much love has gone into the preparation. These were amazing. I ordered the fried shrimp which came with 7 large shrimp, a small baked potato, salad, and rice and beans. The beans were different from the bean dip but just as tasty, the rice had carrots and corn in it, and were seasoned perfectly. The fried shrimp were the best fried shrimp I've ever had. The breading was crisp and fresh, and the shrimp cooked perfectly inside, not overcooked. It was served with a wonderful spicy salsa, and large, handmade corn tortillas. My husband had the shrimp ranchero which came with the potato, salad, etc. The ranchero sauce was absolutely memorable, my husband said it was the best he ever had. Our server was very pleasant and we didn't wait long at all for our food. The price of the meal was fair and the serving sizes were plentiful. We both had leftovers to take home. The only drawback was that the menu was in Spanish only, but the server translated everything that we didn't understand. We will definitely come here again and again!

Ahipoki
12940 Foothill Blvd Suite A, San FernandoAhi Poke is always a great experience! Specially here in Sylmar with so limited restaurant options, Marlon, Katherine, and Teresa are super nice, they make every visit feel so welcoming, they always greet me with a smile and take the time to chat and see how my day goes, they noticetheir customers. I love how they suggest new items for me to try; they really know me now, and our family's food choices, and the menu and make great recommendations every time. Their kindness and great service make this place one of my favorites.
I always call for pick up orders, or eat there if I’m nearby the area. I love their chicken teriyaki bowl super tasty (half rice, half salad) add toppings offered edamame, onions, tuna salad, ? avocado etc... I love their boba, and variety of drink options and their miso soup, everything is super tasty! The portions are generous, and they have plenty of other toppings to customize your bowl. The staff is funny, helpful, and fast at preparing food while still making sure everything is done right. I hate when you go to restaurants and the person attending you doesn’t even smile, here, they’re always on it. Highly recommend!

Rigo's Taco
671 N Maclay Ave, San FernandoThe food is really good! Tacos are a great price $2.27 each for about 10 different varieties. Nice salads and loaded nachos. My burrito was perfect, nice amount of seasoning without being overdone. The only downside is they got our carne asada fries order wrong two times, which caused us to wait a lot longer. There is a no frills area to eat.
