About 298 Market BART Embarcadero Station
The 298 Market BART Embarcadero Station is a major transit hub in San Francisco, connecting the BART and Muni metro systems. During weekday rush hours, the station is extremely busy as trains from the East Bay empty out dramatically. However, it can be quite quiet at other times, with a noticeable population of semi-permanent residents inside the station. The station layout includes an underground concourse with fare gates, a Muni platform underneath, and a deeper BART platform. Ticket machines and staff are available to assist with purchasing fares or getting a Clipper card. While the station is generally functional, some reviewers note it can be a bit dirty, with the occasional issues like non-working escalators. Opinions on the station's overall experience are mixed. Some find it useful for connecting to various BART and Muni lines, while others have encountered undesirable behavior from homeless individuals on the trains. Overall, the 298 Market BART Embarcadero Station serves as an important transit hub, though it may not always meet everyone's expectations.

Well what can you say about Bart that's not been said before. Unfortunately all the trains we took today had a variety of homeless on board doing antisocial things. I only take Bart if no other options

This station is cleaner than a lot of the other stations. Homeless still camo out but they tend to remove them quickly.
