“Thank you for helping me with finding the right bike for me. All the workers of the San Francisco stores in 2 locations were very helpful and knowledgable. I always felt welcomed to the store and during the test-rides (even in not ideal weather conditions). Thanks to all the crew.”

“I was a "ride in" today for a broken brake cable on my Specialized bike. Anson and the team were so nice and helped me right then. Got a new cable installed and Anson fixed up the front brake too and noticed my front tire was also loose, yikes! Super glad to have brought it in and have all the safety work done properly. Super nice folks and great service, good prices too. They also have sweet Pivot mountain bikes for sale too. Been wanting one of those for a while. Thanks again guys! Glad to have my bike fixed up and safe!”

“Love my Aventon Level 2 and everyone at the New Wheel in San Francisco and Oakland were great and very helpful with my purchase. My husband also purchased an Aventon Adventure 2 and was also very pleased with the service from the New Wheel crew! We absolutely love our ebikes!”

“I am always impressed by how kind they are at this shop. Twice now they have saved me money by taking the time to really look at my bike and fix the problem right there rather than let me go ahead and pay extra for parts and assembly that I ended up not needing.”

“First these guys sold me a phenomenal bike at a darn good price with great service. Then they went out of their way to help me.

These folks love bikes and give great service. Wish there were more bike shops like this!”

“I was a big fan of this place years ago when I lived in the neighborhood, and, recently, needing some parts for an older bike, I decided to cross town and see if they could help. The parts department was fast and knowledgable. I left the store with the right parts--no guesswork--for about what I would have paid at the cheapest site online. They make it easy to support local businesses!”

“Jonas and Brian are the best! Very chill guys. It made the browsing and buying experience stress-free. They encouraged us to take time and try all the different models before making the decision, which made us confident that we went to the right place to get a new bike! Best Brompton bike dealer! Go to them for all your Brompton and bike needs :) The other people in the shop are always nice as well. We’ll be coming back!”

“Gotta get maintenance on your bike, or a part? Or maybe just get some good advice about your bike (pedal or electric)? Or need to buy a new bike? You can't do better than stopping in at Avenue Cyclery in the Haight-Ashbury. Check it out.”

“Just got a new E MTB wanted to upgrade my stock seat... checked out Mike's Bikes of San Francisco.

Scored a great deal on a Fizik seat and as a bonus Mike's has a 30 day return window if u are not happy with your purchase bring it back No Problem!

I understand so many intricacies with setting up a bike for comfort and most important to protect your body from damage or injury from having an improper seat size...adjustment...etc.

Great to know that Mikes takes this into consideration and protects you by offering this option!

Sydney helped me with my purchase and advised of return policy and to top off the excellent customer service she installed the seat while i waited at no additional cost as a courtesy!

Thank u so much best regards...
DS”

“DD Cycles is the best. Seriously old school knowledge, reasonable prices, and the owner is just hilarious, kind, and fair. Our favorite bike shop in the city by far. Highly recommend. He is never trying to play you always just giving honest knowledge and help. Does great work too.”

“Kash and his team are super helpful. It is increasingly rare these days to find a bike shop with a "can do" spirit, especially in the Bay Area. These guys are creative and helpful. If they can't do it themselves, they know how to get it done. Recently I was in trouble because I couldn't find a critical part I needed for a bike tour. Kash was able to source it and literally saved the trip. This is the type of team you want to work with. People who love bikes and love getting people going on them!”

“This place is amazing. I have a 1985 Peugeot road bike that needed some love and these guys brought it back to life at lightning speed at a reasonable price. Refreshingly nice and helpful staff that you can tell love everything about bikes.

Days after they fixed mine up I then proceeded to break my derailleur clean off— they were able to fix it in about an hour flat on a Saturday, again at a reasonable price. This is now my go-to place— world class service and professionalism hard to find nowadays.”

“Bought a Velotric T1ST Plus for a school commute. James was super kind and patient, and did a great job communicating about delivery and building the bike for us. So far the bike is working flawlessly, so I can't comment about any service issues, but just wanted to say thanks, James!

One thing I love about Electric Bike Center is their inventory is (currently) narrowed down to quality bikes of two main brands (Velotric & Aventon) with UL-certified batteries, that come in at a much more affordable price point than some competitors. Plus, they offer a variety of accessories and can help set the bike up for you out the door.”

“Landed in SF for only a few days of riding and had problems with my rear derailleur. Heard good things about Ari and knocked on his door without booking a spot. He managed to fit me in between jobs,
quickly identified the problem, and got me a new part. Got the bike back in good order within hours. Highly recommended!”

“The guys did it again! They got me out of trouble and fixed a tricky issue. E-Bikes can be finicky, especially the cheaper ones. I’ve had issues with my Rad Wagon 4 and have also been trying to upgrade it over time and Freewheel has always come through when I got in over my head. They’re no-nonsense and very honest and dependable. I’m lucky to have them as my local bike shop.”

“I have been a customer for years and bought several bikes from Ocean cyclery. I recently bought my 8 year old son's bike before Christmas. Jeffrey is very knowledgeable and skilled as a bike mechanic. I brought my home project bike to him, dubed the Frankenstein bike, and he fixed all the bugs out of it. Now it rides like a Gucci bike should.”

“I love this shop. I've been to every bike shop in a two mile radius and this is really the best one. Any number of features about this shop is great, but what stood out to me is the transparency with which they perform service. They don't recommend anything unnecessary, and indeed will discuss with you what level of service or quality of parts makes sense. They don't automatically order the most expensive components, but discuss with you which parts may work for you and why. I am a picky customer and they have been very patient with me. Highly recommend Velocipede, be it for a purchase or service.”

“The SF location of Vanmoof is the shining star of the entire company. In the 3 years of owning my bike they have continuously gone above and beyond in customer service.”
