“Thank you for helping me with finding the right bike for me. All the workers of the San Francisco stores in 2 locations were very helpful and knowledgable. I always felt welcomed to the store and during the test-rides (even in not ideal weather conditions). Thanks to all the crew.”
“I stopped by for the first time to talk with the service team about my bike. It had been about a year since the last service, and I wanted to figure out when I should schedule the next one.
The staff took about 10 minutes to carefully look over the bike, checked several components, and even measured the remaining life on the brake pads and chain. They gave me honest feedback that I still have about 2–3 months before service is really needed.
What impressed me most was that they took the time to do a thoughtful assessment and didn’t charge a dime. That kind of honesty and customer care is rare these days.
If you’re looking for a place to buy a lifetime bike and get top-notch service, I highly recommend this shop.”
“Very knowledgeable and kind staff! They helped us pick a cargo bike for us and our toddler. Their service department was great and walked us through their process and each part of the bike that needs attention.”
“I've been to this place twice now. Each time they have been quick, courteous, professional, and did the job right. They are now my preferred bike repair shop in the city. My only wish is that they would extend their hours.”
“I had my bike shipped here and reassembled. Everything was great - great service, great communication, and great price. I'll be taking my bike here for servicing. Highly recommended!”
“Max was awesome! Great local bike shop with nice guys who know what they’re doing and chill vibes. I went in with my tire leaking sealant everywhere and they didn’t make a fuss about the sealant dripping everywhere ?. Max made it look easy to seat my particularly tricky tire onto the wheel. Great experience and will definitely be coming back for other bike service needs.”
“I am always impressed by how kind they are at this shop. Twice now they have saved me money by taking the time to really look at my bike and fix the problem right there rather than let me go ahead and pay extra for parts and assembly that I ended up not needing.”
“Joey was very helpful and informative in helping us pick out a bike. We tried out three different bikes and he patiently help us decide the pros and cons of each. We ended up leaving with a bike! Would recommend”
“Jonas and Brian are the best! Very chill guys. It made the browsing and buying experience stress-free. They encouraged us to take time and try all the different models before making the decision, which made us confident that we went to the right place to get a new bike! Best Brompton bike dealer! Go to them for all your Brompton and bike needs :) The other people in the shop are always nice as well. We’ll be coming back!”
“I interacted with both the bike mechanic and the shop owner, and they provided top-notch customer service. They were honest and upfront about both current needs and future considerations. I would highly recommend them to my friends and family.”
“Physical storefront is now closed; the store only accepts online orders and does not have open hours on Eddy.
Great pieces for great prices— wish they still had a storefront, but I’m grateful there’s still people passionate about track biking in sf. Highly recommend.”
“Great local bike shop! Straight forward service, sells parts as well as full tune-ups, and he’s happy to fix any small problems he finds, even if they’re not part of the scope of the tune-up that he’s asked to perform. He straightened out the fork of my bike when I didn’t even realize it was slightly bent!”
“Literally the nicest guy on the planet behind the desk at this place. He went above and beyond to help me find someone to help me pack up my bike. Extremely grateful ?”
“We showed up with no appointment, and they got us out the door with rentals within an hour. Loaned me a phone mount and were quick and helpful all the way through. We rode 20 miles and then I had a mechanical issue derailleur hangar snapped) after crossing the golden gate bridge. The manager came out personally and replaced my bike on the spot!”

“I stopped in the have the light fixed on my ebike. They were not able to fix it because they are not authorized dealers of Izip. But the nice man reconnected my light and fixed it so I can ride it. No charge!”
“There isn't a superlative in my lexicon that can adequately describe how incredible my experience with Warm Planet Bikes has been.
I first reached out to Warm Planet Bikes back in December after realizing my wife and I had a bit of buyer’s remorse on our practically brand-new Tern GSD R14 — it had only 11 miles on the odometer. We decided we really wanted a front-loaded cargo bike instead. Even though Warm Planet doesn’t take trade-ins, Kash (the owner) went above and beyond, offering guidance on how to sell the GSD privately and even performing a full tune-up and diagnostic checklist for my buyer. That level of support, especially when there was no immediate sale in it for him, speaks volumes.
Then I became the most indecisive, high-maintenance customer imaginable.
From December through February, I changed my mind more times than I care to admit. I started out set on a standard Larry vs Harry eBullitt, but then realized our 60-lb Golden Retriever might not be able to comfortably lie down in the front box. That sent me down the rabbit hole. I bounced back and forth between the Yuba Supercargo, the eBullitt X, and the Urban Arrow Family Cargo. At one point I literally laid masking tape on my living room floor to map out the various bucket dimensions to see which one would best fit our dog.
Through all of it, Kash was patient, thoughtful, and genuinely helpful. Not once did he pressure me. Not once did he seem annoyed. He just kept offering insight, answering questions, and helping me think through what would truly work best for our family.
Kash is truly a diamond in the rough. His kindness and integrity are rare. And Ted, his mechanic, deserves major credit as well. Ted made sure the GSD was in A+ shape for its new owner, and the eBullitt X I finally took home was pristinely assembled. The shifting was buttery smooth, everything dialed, everything perfect. It rode exactly the way a dream cargo bike should.
If you want a shop that treats you like a human being instead of a transaction, Warm Planet Bikes is it. I can’t recommend them highly enough.”
“Ari is great. He fixed a clicking bottom bracket at the last minute, and he did my bike fitting, using his physical training background and technology (electrodes and sensors) to analyze my cycling and make adjustments to support my natural position. I’ve done four 75+-mile rides since and felt more comfortable than before. He also taught me stretching techniques because he could tell I was tight on my right side and that was causing unevenness on my saddle position and pedaling motion. He listened to my concerns and explained things clearly.”
“Jeff is the bomb. Had to replace a lost wheel on my bike and he made it happen in a day, gave it a nice quick tune and I got some new tires all for super reasonable price. No reason to go anywhere else.”
“Rob is an exceptional mechanic and always takes the time to explain what needs to be done to fix any issue. Been going to freewheel for all of my bike needs and they always perform top level service. Best bike shop that I’ve been to in a long time!”
“Great shop, very knowledgeable and helpful. They for sure are my preferred bike shop in the city after 10years of experience here. 5/5 recommendation to support them!”
“The SF location of Vanmoof is the shining star of the entire company. In the 3 years of owning my bike they have continuously gone above and beyond in customer service.”
“Highly recommend. Such a great investment in the longevity of my cycling life. Not only did I get a perfect fit, he also gave me curated exercises to do to address specific aspects of my fitness regarding to cycling.”
