The Cable Car Hotel is a simple, no-frills, and economical one-star hotel in the heart of San Francisco. It is a little dated and rustic, with very thin windows, so it can be a bit noisy. The atmosphere is like a Spanish inn or family pension. The rooms are incredibly affordable, big enough, and come with amenities like a microwave, TV, desk, and private bathroom with a super snazzy shower. They are described as so clean and comfortable, though there can be issues like roaches. The location is awesome, very close to everything, with all nice shops, grocery stores, bars, pharmacy, hospital, cable car, and bus nearby. The staff are rare, dedicated, super helpful, and friendly, providing awesome customer service. It is perfect for younger people on a budget who don't plan on spending much time in the room, but would not be recommended for a family or anyone expecting something special. Many guests would definitely book here again.
This is a one star hotel apparently.. it’s a little dated but man I’m glad we took the chance with it. So clean and comfortable. Staff were super helpful with our weird check in and out times and helping arrange transport. Awesome location for what we needed. Definitely book here again
