Mercy Bersonda, who has helped me before, assisted with several transactions during my latest visit. She was meticulous and made sure everything was handled to my satisfaction—just as she always does.
I have been a client of Provident Credit Union for many years, and I am confident that my funds are well-managed and secure, with fees that are both minimal and reasonable. The credit union continues to meet all of my banking requirements.”

“Just wanted to give a shout out to Julius from the 2nd Street branch. Twice now he has gone out of his way to help me. Recently he helped me consolidate several IRA CDs. I was going to attempt the paperwork myself, but made a phone appointment with Julius instead. He saved me hours of work and saved me from having to fill out numerous forms. In addition, I didn't have to fax nor email forms back and forth. We accomplished all the appropriate tasks via our phone appointment. Kudos to Julius! “I’ve been with Patelco since the 90s, and over the years I’ve really come to love this credit union and everything it offers. The Noriega branch has always stood out as the best one I’ve worked with. I’ve had the pleasure of being helped by so many wonderful employees over the years—Darren (I was sad to see him move to another branch), Luis (missed him when he went to Daly City), and most recently Kevin, whose last day was just a few days ago and I’m very sad to see him go.
Other employees who made this branch feel special were Nancy and Mai. They always knew who I was without me even having to say anything, and that personal touch meant a lot. I was truly sad when they left. There was also a newer gentleman I liked—sharp, friendly—but he moved to the East Coast.
Now that everyone who knew me has moved on, it’s going to feel a little different. You can’t expect every employee to know you by name, but that extra bit of familiarity really made a difference. One time I forgot my wallet and needed to withdraw money, and the only familiar face there was Kevin—he came to the rescue without hesitation. Their service was always exceptional, and every visit was pleasant.
I haven’t been back since Kevin retired, but I wish him the very best—he deserves it!
I don’t usually write reviews for banks, but with everyone I knew gone, I felt it was the right time to give them the credit they’re due. Thank you for the many years of great service, and I truly hope it continues for years to come!”

“I have had outstanding service from SF Fire Credit Union. I worked with several employees - Ashley, Hassan, Genie, and Erik - each of whom was professional, courteous, understanding of the time-crunch I was under, and did everything to help me accomplish the difficult financial situation I was wrestling with. I have worked with several other financial institutions; SFFCU stands out to me for their commitment to helping us customers deal with our issues.
My only caveat is that it's ideal to call Tuesday through Thursday, preferably not too late in the day. It's a small institution, and the folks you get on the phone aren't random call center people, but actual credit union staff.”

And the free ATM withdrawals anywhere six times a month you can’t beat! Definitely five stars love it and I’ve had them for 10 years”
“Needed a cashier’s check because I was out of checks, and out of town. This credit union has a partnership with Southern CA Credit Union. I got to Golden 1 a few minutes early. The doors opened promptly at 10. My teller’s name was Donna. She was very courteous and greeted me warmly. I didn’t have my account number, and she was very patient while I called my credit union to obtain the number, and placed a paper and pen in front of me, right when I needed it. After I requested my check(for deposit and rent) she determined I was new to the area, and extended a nice welcome. Thank you, Donna! The security guard was very nice too, smiling and holding the door for me on the way out.
