IKEA San Francisco offers a unique shopping experience, with over 52,000 square feet of space across three levels. The store showcases 27 fully furnished room settings, providing inspiration and practical solutions for city living. Customers can browse and purchase a range of 2,500 smaller home furnishing accessories and special collection items, focusing on affordability, sustainability, and small-space living. Larger furniture items, such as couches and bookshelves, are available for home delivery. The new downtown location on Market Street features not only the Swedish furniture brand's signature offerings but also a large food hall with a variety of restaurant options. Customers generally report a pleasant experience, with the staff being described as nice, competent, and thoughtful, even going the extra mile to assist shoppers. However, the store's location in a less desirable area of San Francisco has been a point of concern for some local residents. Despite this, the customer service has been praised as being on par with the high standards of Japanese hospitality, making customers feel welcomed and valued. While the shopping experience can sometimes be challenging, with issues like limited elevator access and long wait times, the overall consensus is that IKEA San Francisco provides a unique and affordable shopping destination, with a diverse range of products and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
I love this place but don't expect the the staff to know anything about a smart home devices. Do your own research before you arrive.

Not your usual city block IKEA, this one is intended to be smaller serving an urban area, and lacking the customary large parking and pickup areas. Even the cafe is small.
