“We were skeptical about this business just because the name is kinda goofy -- but we were blown away by the service and quality we got here, at a lower price point than retail. After our experience, I can't imagine buying a couch from a chain vendor again. We were initially eyeing sofas from Restoration Hardware, but they were very expensive, and we saw that other folks complained about poor quality, delivery times, and customer support. We came in to Sofa U Love after seeing one couch on Craigslist that looked roughly similar to what we were after. We were helped out by Benny from our initial walk-in. While we had looked at other "custom" sofa places, you were mostly looking at set models with some options around fabric. Sofa U Love was able to make a mock of the RH couch we were eyeing, then let us customize everything down to the arm width, to the stitching on the cushions. Benny and the team were super communicative as it was built out, and I appreciated their design insight. Our couch came in substantially less expensive than the couch we had been eyeing, built with solid wood (vs MDF), with faster delivery time, and made in California! It's rare you don't have to make tradeoffs!”

I loved knowing who was making my wallbed and having it be in the same city as me.In 2018 I purchased a lateral queen wallbed with accompanying cabinetry from them. Since then I unexpectedly had to move twice and it is still super solid. I don't think cheaper options from another company would have been the same story.Astrid and Abraham are always amazing to work with. During the last move I had a small snag with the size of our corridor and called them in a bit of a panic. Within five minutes they were able to walk us through disassembling the front piece to be small enough to fit.Highly recommend!”

“Although we love the warmth our Kosmos chairs provide us in the chilly SF weather, we are disappointed in the quality of the finish on one of our two chairs. The images that I have provided are after G&J refinished the arms. Both chairs are covered when not in use, and are only cleaned with water and a microfiber cloth.We have asked G&J for a replacement chair, and hope that they will respond.UPDATE: G & J has replace our chair and we are VERY happy with their attention to resolve this problem! “The folks at Relax the Back on Van Ness/SF are AMAZING - I bought an X-Chair from them in May 2023 (which I LOVE), and a few months later the vibrating heater stopped working. I called the store to ask what I should do (there's a 3-year warranty on the X-Chairs), and one of the managers, Pam, told me they had a replacement at the store for this, and I could just come by and pick it up. I told her I would need to make arrangements and get back to them, as I live in Novato (North Bay) which is about 30 miles away. Pam asked me which exit in Novato, and when I told her, she said she would come to my house and drop off the part and install the new one for me. I was flabbergasted! I don't remember the last time I got customer service like this! It turns out that Pam lives not too far from me, and she was happy to drop by on her way home from work and install the new part. She showed up right when she said she would, and it took about 3 minutes for her to change out the part. It works great! I would give this store 100 stars if I could, they are absolutely wonderful and their products are top of the line.”

“Ask for Andreas! I had a great experience at the Mattress Firm at Van Ness and California. We got a great deal with complimentary pillows and 0% financing. There was a great selection of mattresses to try at a variety of price points. Andreas was very knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. He gave us lots of space to try the beds and talk on our own, he understood our needs, and he did not push us in anyway. I definitely recommend shopping here. If you are on a tight budget, request information on purchasing a returned mattress. Delivery to your door is free, or pay $99 for them to place the mattress, and they will haul away the old one, too.”
