The United States Postal Service (USPS) is the only organization that regularly delivers mail and packages to over 157 million addresses across the United States and its territories. Processing 47% of the world's mail, USPS manages over 30,000 retail locations and continuously innovates to improve customer experiences. Customers generally have positive experiences at their local USPS branch. The Geary Blvd location has a few limited-time parking meters right outside, and free street parking nearby, though customers should watch for street sweeping schedules. The customer service agents are usually nice, if not always cheerful. There is an automated machine inside for quick postage and package drop-off, but the counter staff are efficient. The branch has a selection of packaging materials and greeting cards available for purchase. Reviewers appreciate the reliability and affordability of USPS compared to private carriers. While USPS profitability is debated, many feel it should be viewed as an essential public service. Delivery staff deserve more respect, and some question whether they have to pay for their own uniforms. Overall, customers are satisfied with their experiences at this USPS location, praising the knowledgeable, friendly staff and manageable wait times, especially in the mornings.
I have always found the lines to be reasonable and the staff to be personable and friendly

Long line most of the time. The USPS closed the community post office in the Richmond District leaving the Geary PO the next best option.

Kind and efficient! Went on Saturday at noon, and stood behind 2 people. Woman working there was great despite complications behind the scenes w a broken mail elevator!
