“This place is amazing and a wonderful source of historical knowledge. The docents that work there are extremely informative and information is moving to say the least”
“Everyone is great there except for this one lady who offended me right to my face. I was shocked and taken back. I couldn't believe she interrupted my appointment conversation with the fitness coach to be offensive. Were in the main room inside an office discussing my test results from the health scanner they have in the side office. She came in and started talking to the fitness trainer. I figured she had work there to do since there was two desks. She kept talking to him and he asked her if he she wanted thebseat he was in and she said yes continued tovtalk to him. I was waiting for her to stop talking socwe can continue our appointment. She was just sitting there listening to our conversation regarding my results and tips and she chimed in "saying oh! Great! Your a photographer, it's my lucky day how great. We can use some headshots of the staff, for free of course. Im in charge of the money budget here and I love to save". I just finished explaining to the trainer work has been slow and difficult to be able to invest on a trainer for the future when things get financially better. When I mentioned I work in photography... I don't know if she knows how awful she was. Insulting and rude. I felt like puking or crying, shocked and insulted. I knew I wasn't in a real conversation with her in that moment. That she was a bipolar or something to be so awkward/ awful and she was just he's stealing my time away from my positive meeting with a trainer. We were speaking on my plans for success with the trainer and all she wanted was to disrupt. I just went home from that appointment slowly realizing how crippling she was. The trainer was very very kind trying to keep our conversation positive and focused on my success but I think he saw how belittling she was towards me because I couldn't smile after that bizarre disruption.”
“Went to Paesano Ristorante Italiano for dinner on a Saturday night after the Sharks game. We called and made a 5:45 pm reservation around 5pm. The parking lot was small and we drove right past it but there was metered parking nearby. Not a big place but were were seated quickly at a great table in the bar by the window. Service and food was AMAZING and the food came out quickly! Great wine selection. Enjoyed our dinner and wine while we watched the football game. Small place but highly recommend it!”
“The person that helped me was Lidia she was professional and was really friendly and helpful. Really love the hall and how they set up the tables so he would look great. Thanks Highly recommend this hall.”
“Hidaya foundation is the best place to donate. They ship it to all over the places.
So, I would advice, when you donate stuff, please donate some money too like $5 or so.”
“This place is great it has self help groups job training and one on one peer support it's a great place to volunteer and it's non profit so donate if you can this place helps the mental health and addiction and homelessness it provides a safe place for those in recovery I'm so happy I found recovery Cafe San Jose”
“Khoi Nguyen provided exceptional assistance in helping me navigate my father’s HEAP application. His professionalism, patience, and attention to detail made the entire process smooth and manageable.
What stood out most was his genuine compassion and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure we understood each step. Khoi is an excellent fit for his position, and his dedication to helping others is truly commendable.”
“Best public pool in south San Jose area. Beautiful 8 lanes 25 yards modern, no gutter pool. Swam there a Friday evening, open from 4:30pm until 8pm. Not crowded at all, and super cheap drop in fee. Only complaint is water temperature, which is too warm. Facilities for changing and showering are clean and sufficient. Too bad there is no early morning swimming, or noon swimming.”

“I rarely ever spend the time to review a place but Good Karma bikes lived true to the name for me at first visit
I've got a deserving friend that we wanted to bless with a solid mountain bike to get out with his bros for rides like old times. Pooled together a limited budget amongst our friend group, brought in my failed chatgpt garage old bike conversion, and was able to achieve the end goal after talking things through with Jim & Carly - who were both very helpful. Another, different, bike shop had quoted me $400 to fix my old beater bike but the value would not have been there - old geo, no disc brakes, heavy bouncy frame
Solid outcomes all around - my old bike will be scrapped for parts or refurbished. Meanwhile got a great deal on a mechanically sound and excellent mountain bike for my buddy - much safer than what I was trying to put together as a well intentioned newb in my garage
Buying used bikes can be dicey if you don't have all the mechanical knowledge - but definitely can feel 100% assured buying here or servicing your bike and there is no crazy price gouging. Also a good place to donate parts to as they're going to a great cause. Thanks again!”
“I took my Transitional Kindergarten class here for a field trip today, and it was wonderful! We had 4 rotations where students could pet and feed chickens, go on a scavenger hunt, water the garden, dig and rake in a giant mound of wood chips, and experience hands-on learning about composting with red wigglers. Our students were engaged the whole time and didn't want to leave.”
“This business is very clean and professional and they show how much they really care about helping the less fortunate. They offered dinner from 4 to 5:00 p.m. every Tuesday Wednesday and I believe it's every first or second Friday of the month that they recently started doing free grocery service where you can come and pick up free groceries of your choice I believe. The staff and volunteers are amazing very helpful and friendly. Especially the worker named Robert he is very nice and inviting and really good at trying to bring in more people during the dinner nights and is one of the reasons why everyone is safe. The food is cooked fresh and is very good you're also able to get as many plates as possible so you can have seconds or even 3rds if your first plate does not make you full. They also offer dog and cat food whenever they have it in stock. On Wednesday they offer dignity on wheels from 2-5 where you can wash/dry your clothes for free and take a shower as well. If you or someone you know is in need of a hot meal, clean clothes, or even a shower for whatever reason, don't hesitate to make your way to Martha's kitchen to receive help and resources they are very welcoming and non-judgmental. May God bless you all happy holidays and I hope this review helps spread some information that you might have not known about. And definitely spread the word of these resources that are available through Martha's kitchen. Here's a picture of me while volunteering in September when I was about 7 months pregnant. ?❤️???”
“I volunteered for the food distribution program which helps members of the community struggling to put food on the table. Great people to work with. Good feeling to know your part of a team helping others!”

“I had an amazing experience at this non-profit nursery! The staff was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make sure I found the perfect plant. They even assisted me in loading it into my car, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The quality of the plant is excellent, and it’s wonderful to support a place with such a positive mission. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this nursery to others!”
“Dropped in for Saturday morning table tennis. 8 tables, skilled players playing mostly doubles.

“I appreciate having this location so close by to donate whenever it's convenient to me. Staff is super nice and depending on when you go you can get in and out quickly”
“Their Rummage sales are fun to shop at, especially when they are doing clearance prices! I got a beautiful wool runner rug for $25 instead of $245.00! If you love the thrill of a bargain and enjoy rummaging through secondhand items this is a great place. They’ll post on Craigslist the week of their sale, which is always on a Saturday. Parking can be a bit tight. The gravel lot usually has a bit more room for backing up to leave.”
“At the heart of Open San Jose, CreaTV is great place to learn, create and connect. Want to make TV show, this place will help train you and even help you get on the air.”
“Awesome location! Worker at the loft was nice and he was more than happy to show me some items in the case. This goodwill in particular is always my #1 compared to others in the area when it comes to variety, cleanliness, and customer service.”
“As a teacher of more than 30 years, I'm very appreciative of the raft. Went in there a couple weeks ago and picked up lots of odds and ends for our maker, space robotics, building, project and fun stuff for our class auction. The raft never disappoints.”

“The staff was outgoing and welcoming!
The Senior center was clean and was set up to accommodate mobility devices.. the parking and grounds were also clean and seemed to be well cared for... The Senior Center services are blended in with an Adult Special Needs program.. However I didn't feel intimidated by their clients
The City of San Jose has done a great job in cleaning up this center from it's horribly dirty and unsafe conditions just a few years ago!!!”
“This review is for donation only. I came on a Monday afternoon at around 1:30pm. There was no wait to donate. To donate, you have to drive behind the building and there will be a large area to self sort (clothes, linens, books, etc). I donated baby furniture such as jumper and bouncer and worker sorted that for me. The guy was very pleasant. I decided to donate here as Hope Thrift (closer to me) doesn't accept baby furnitures. Goodwill doesn't accept car seats though which expires. There is a QR code to scan for receipt.”
“This is a great place to know if you want to get in touch with your Portuguese roots. I take my daughter here to get Portuguese lessons. Very affordable and a good vibe here.”
“The entire Hunger at Home Family is AMAZING! Since January, 2021, Hunger at Home has been supporting our school food pantry. With their gracious support, we are able to serve twenty families each week with fresh and nutritious meals. If you are looking for an organization to support, PLEASE know that they have one of the biggest hearts in the Silicon Valley!. Thank you for all that you do for our community!”

“donate to this homeless shelter if you want to help feed the homeless. this shelter does provide a decent meal in the mornings. 7am and evening 5pm everyday. For beds 3 pm.
SAD THING IS THAT MANY NON HOMELESS PEOPLE GO THERE TO TAKE FOOD LEAVING THE REAL HOMELESS WITH NO FOOD. I see people getting there in a nice car. Nice clothes not homeless at all. Some people live right in the block nice homes and cars . But they take the food from the real hungry people that live on the streets.”
“Goodwill appreciates people! Has great programs for people looking to restart and better themselves. I'm very appreciative that they're still helping the community during these trying times. Keep up the great job!! Stay safe!!!”
“If I had to describe South Valley YMCA Swim Lessons in one word, it would be *legit*. We’ve done swim lessons with the kids in 3 different locations around the bay before finding SVYMCA and we’ll tell everyone who will listen that this is the place to take your kids to actually LEARN to swim. We’re moving and are still considering how we can figure out getting back over there for just swim lessons. (Though we’ve been members there and it’s true of ALL their offerings.) To put it mildly, we are fans.”
