“Man the food was Great but nothing can top that customer service, he treats you like family. I ordered A tri tip sandwich and could barely survive half of it. I left with a bowl of soup and ice cream on him. Nothing can top this bbq around the area.”
“Neat place just off the highway. Lots of variety, produce, half the store isn't even just garlic. Garlic chocolate ice cream isn't something id probably ever buy again but it wasn't bad. The vanilla is better. Also lots of dried fruit snacks.”

“I have been using this shop for all meats for several years now. Always will displayed, prices are great, service personal. I appreciate being able to see and select cuts, instead of having to buy a pre-package which may have cuts that are less useful for me. Will cut to order, and prices always markedly below chain grocery stores. I have not purchased much else here so cannot speak to that but find it only slightly annoying that meats and everything else are purchased at separate registers. I will admit that I avoid the pre-seasoned meats, just my thing, not really into heavy seasonings, so cannot rate that, and want to make sure I can see the actual meat I am buying. I routinely drive farther, past a number of other shops to go here.”

“As Hollister is growing in population I find many store shelves empty. I couldn't find my favorite over the counter cough syrup and I found it at The Dollar General at a lower price than the other stores in town. I also stocked up on facial tissues for myself and family dealing with first cold of the season. Great prices and it was a little busy with a line going up the aisle to get to the register. Worth the wait to save money on my cold season purchases. You can still find Top Ramen 5 in a package soups, but now are $1.25 instead of a dollar. Still cheaper than other stores. Go check it out yourself. They carry all sorts of food and drink items. Also, household items plus cleaning products.”
“Love this place. Small but mighty if you know what I mean. Cleanliness of the store is what impressed me. Quality of groceries and meat are fairly decent and fresh. Staff are friendly and helpful. Most importantly, they have a free rewards membership that you can either redeem discounts off your groceries (which varies) and/or complimentary selected items.”
“Store has a lot of various items and choices. Prices have unfortunately sky rockeyed due to inflation, so shopping trips at this point are a nightmare on the wallet.
Lines aren't so bad now thanks to self checkout, so you won't have to wait too long to ring up your items.

“Had a LOVELY Mother's Day here with Mariachis, fruit, chicken mole and drinks. What a nice event. Heard about their taqueria and went back a couple days later to get a Grande Burrito!!! Excellent and affordable. Nice people and good prices. Definitely going back❣️”
“The lady in the front was very nice. Even though the store is not as big as other asian stores it can boast it's organization of variety of products. There is a line of chest freezers inside with labels both outside and inside. And everything is easy to find. They also have a Balikbayan Box service. Also this is the only asian store here in Monterey county where I was actually able to find lye water. Finally, I can try making kutsinta! Wish me luck! The only thing I was looking for that was not there was fresh produce and fresh fish. But although they don't have that, hey have frozen options of seafood and even octopus. I was able to find my all time favorite rellenong bangus in the frozen section. There an assortment of frozen fruits and vegetables too. We were able to buy some chichirya. The kids love Jack and Jill's Cheese Curls with one boy and one girl character in the packaging and Labzter crackers. They were all very crunchy. Meaning they sell fresh stuff. Ate at the front was nice enough to hand me a flyer for Balikbayan Box service that they provide to customers. I will definitely come back to this store. I was not able to take pictures inside because I was not able to ask if it's permitted. Maybe next time I will add more pictures.”

“I really appreciate both this market and Marshall's across the street. It's not easy being the only gas and groceries provider in our small but vocal community. The owners (of both stores now) are gracious, eager to help out and open to suggestions. The standout item in the Firehouse Market is the freezer by the door filled with Marriani's custom ice cream. Thanksgiving's Pumpkin was excellent, and now there's a lovely creamy Eggnog. The Spumoni is so refreshing, while the Chocolate Mandarin is beautifully indulgent. Yes, I have my priorities set correctly!”

“My family always goes here when it comes to the meat. Super friendly and the whole staff/team are very down to earth and very helpful for any questions. My mom always goes here and swears by the butcher. He is very accommodating when it comes to cutting the meat for her. Support small businesses if you're in the hollister area!”
