“What an awesome bookstore! The owner is so nice and sweet angel Lyla is so cute lounging around the shop. The selection of books is amazing and I can’t wait to go back and get more books! ❤️♥️”
“Stopped in here while in town to help my daughter move for college, and I had a few hours to kill. I was happy they open at 10AM, since most other record shops in thr area didn’t open until noon. I really didn’t expect much from their vinyl selection given the smaller size of the shop and since they appeared to focus more on books than records. But I was super impressed by their great selection, from classic rock, to indie, to electronic, to blues, and jazz. They had new, sealed vinyl as well as some preowned options. I came away buying WAY more than I had expected, as I found a few hard to find titles from my wishlist, several of which were marked down, so the pricing on many were less than I’ve seen at other shops. I liked that their staff provided some of their recommendations on the shrinkwrap, many of which showed good taste in my opinion. Although it’s a lot smaller than the bigger Bay Area record shops, they’ve got some great options! Plus, they had a ton of book options throughout the store. The staff was also very pleasant. If you’re shopping during the week, make sure to pay for parking at the kiosks to avoid the ridiculous parking fines they give out! (I got one for $72 a block away!)”
“The owner is the sweetest human being ever! I love her so much, she’s makes books on B books on B. I also love the overall vibe of the place, and of course I love it for its book too.”
“For book lovers, this is one of the most amazing places you could visit in the Bay Area!
Four whole floors dedicated to books of the most varied kind, from European and Latin American history to fiction and rare books ?
A huge amount of well-kept used books, those that you feel the story just by their art and appearance”

“I love this bookstore! I can always find interesting books here and in the past when they haven't had something that I'm specifically looking for, like a mathematics study book for example, they were able to order it and get it to me within a week!! The employees in the store are always very welcoming and helpful. I Highly recommend. ?”

“Great used bookstore with lots of vintage clothes, CDs, records. Eclectic collection, great prices. Go support your local independent used bookstore before they all disappear”
“I have been coming to Marcus Book Store since I was a little girl. The atmosphere hasn’t changed…you can still sit on the floor and read. The selection is amazing and the service is wonderful.”

“There's a lot of books here, and I found some interesting horror and sci-fi pickups, but my lord the place needs a good sorting out. They shipped the books for me, and everything showed up fine. It's a good stop for sci-fi and horror fans, but be willing to pick through every section if you want to find any gems.”
“Great book store with good variety of new and used books. From Children's books to the classics, anything you would want to find is there. They also have a variety of local books and seem to be very connected to the area they're in. It's in a very beautiful area and always worth a visit.”
“Fun bookstore to browse! Lots of great finds, both new and old (nostalgic). The layout was confusing at first, with some books not in alphabetical order so it may take a bit of searching if you are looking for a specific book or author.”
“This store has the best selection of Judaica and the owners are so helpful. It is such a pleasure to have a brick and mortar store where I can compare items. And around holiday times there is no better place to shop.”
“I am looking forward to my next visit! Lovely small shop with a good selection of titles. The children's section had a nice range of books across age levels which was nice for a small bookstore. I appreciated that they had a good selection of interesting cards and small gifts.”

“I have been several times and purchased many small crystals with the best prices I have seen! The owners are so kind and helpful! I bring friends to experience the store often. Highly recommend!”
“My favorite bookstore in the bay! Everyone is kind, eager to help, and the selection is great. I especially love the employee recommendation tables. Even bought some home decor here.”
“This is a very cute spot! My friend and I talked about coming here for a long time after seeing a reel on Instagram! Would highly recommend. The wine and small bites are a little pricey but they do have more of a niche, so it makes sense in my opinion. It is a bit smaller of a place, but when went today, on a Sunday, it wasn't very crowded. We will return the next time we are in Berkeley! They looked like they had some fun events, so we will be signing up for their mailing list!”
“What's not to love? Proceeds benefit the Oakland Public Library. This shop is a smorgasbord of used books. You'll find plenty of classics and modern bestsellers but they also have sections for other languages, music books, comic books, just about everything! Amazing staff of volunteers who care deeply about reading and are always happy to help. Cozy and well-organized. I always find something special when I visit.”
“Love this local book shop. They have a loyalty program and the staff are so nice! They helped me special order a book for my kids bday and were so thoughtful with the whole process. Support a local small business!”
“Incredible selection of books! Might come back again, but the owner (presumably) kept butting in to interrupt the employee who was helping me, which made me feel really uncomfortable and kind of put me off.”

“The staff is very knowledgeable about real books. But the store seems to lack the majority of books, half of the story still books but the other half is toys, games and other ridiculous items that I would not buy in a bookstore.”
“I went to this book store with my mom. I'm not into books, but my mom is a big reader. I think all the books are donated or they bought. My mom bought three books, just for $4.50. Really cheap books. That's my 5 stars.”
“European Books and Media in Marin County is a literary paradise! Extensive selection, knowledgeable staff, and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“Re: CNA program. Pros: - FREE and only 6 weeks - Great way to jumpstart nursing or medical careers - Clinicals in acute and long-term care facilities - Immediate job offers with clinical sites - Decent amount of in-person simulation practice - Genevieve Dace (program director) is a saint with the biggest heart, best stories, and amazing insight/skill. She is communicative, flexible, and understanding. It is clear she deeply cares about each of her students and wants to see them succeed. Cons: - Not the best preparation for certification exam. I know other CNA schools who drill the skills according to the Red Cross standards; that didn't really happen here. It felt more like an overview and once you passed the program, you were on your own to practice the skills for the test. - Clinical instructors could be problematic. Sometimes my experience with the instructors would be straight out of nursing school horror stories. I felt demeaned and was denied opportunities at times. I was confused by complying with expectations after being spoken to yet still being demeaned. It sucked too because all the instructors were personal nurse friends of the program director. Overall, I have to leave 4 stars because they revived my career future. Now I make double as a CNA compared to what I made before and am in nursing school. It's a pretty new program, so bumps are expected and clinical instructors in nursing programs typically have reputations for being "mean" so meh. It has really helped me financially and throughout nursing school. If you're considering nursing in the future, take the program! (Just keep your head down in clinicals haha)”
“wonderful way to discover new releases and older gems. I love how the bookstore is formatted - truly feels like a treasure trove and helps me rediscover the magic of finding the unexpected.”
“Website looks more professional than Accuris (formerly Techstreet). When doing a search, I like that you can easily see document status, price & media type. It would be helpful if the media type would state the restrictions (i.e., single user license, single user license that requires security access, etc).”
“I wish it was a place to walk in but I understand. With all the new construction and amenities I want to reach out to the professors and staff. EVERY DEPT. THANK YOU”
“Nice place, very pleasant staff who will cater to your personal taste in books and recommend and even seek out titles for you! Very eclectic collection of art as well.”
“Can't believe I've lived in Berkeley 10 years before discovering this gem. Don't be a dum dum like me. Especially now that they have a fill center, and all sorts of fun stuff, friendly staff, and good green living.”
“Attended a SAGE event and upon arrival the view was breath taking. The campus was clean and the community feel was felt right away. Next time I'm in the area I will visit again.”
“I LOVE this store! The selection is great and they have some pretty good deals! I last went on Christmas Eve to get some last minute gifts and they had a complimentary gift wrapping table station which was very nice and useful!”
