“I was introduced to Home Street Bank about a year ago. Specifically the San Marcos location! Most big banks have lost the art of customer service, of caring about every customer who walks through the door, no matter their bank account balance. Home Street - San Marcos, in my opinion, has definitely not lost this. They should actually write a book on how to properly treat customers. They are beyond accommodating, so friendly, make you feel like family and help you with every banking need you have. It's worth switching banks if you are not happy with how you are being treated! Visit Home Street Bank in San Marcos!!”

“Love the new asthetic after their remodel. And really love that they decided to bring music to this place.
This review is really more like 4.5 stars. Solely due to some of the Playlist of said music. If I may suggest ensuring the music playlist is listening friendly. Hip-hop/club music doesn't fit all that well with the overall banking scene.
Otherwise, very friendly staff and everyone is always very efficient!”

I had an issue with a check and her costumer service was OUTSTANDING, not only I feel she really wanted to help and I was an important costumer, but she resolved the issue. I wanted to recommend her and I hope US Bank have more employees like her.”

My sister and I had a great time together with the teller as she was helping us with the transaction and she introduced us to their new manager. “This was my first time coming to this branch. I was a bit nervous upon entering as the interior decor made me question what year I had stepped into as it has a 70's vibe (and not in a good way). It seemed dark and dismal and I half expected the staff to be dressed in ugly brown suits and dresses. There was a rather long walk down the roped path to the tellers, plenty of time to take in the heavy darkness of the bank. It was a bit foreboding however I was pleasantly surprised when I had only a few minute wait to be assisted by a smiling teller that was from this decade:) The teller was quick, kind, professional and my deposit transaction was handled quickly and painlessly. Moral of the story is don't judge a bank by it's throwback decor.”
“I just had a great experience getting cash at this location because of the service I received from Eleanor. She patiently took time to help me figure out how to use the wellsfargo app to request a new card and then helped me use the app to get cash. When I told her that I was getting money to give for graduation gifts, she went through each bill to make sure they were nice. I left WellsFargo feeling seen and…. happy! The care Eleanor showed me was top notch!! Thank you!!”

“Decade of experience. Have had nothing but fast, efficient, pleasant service here. I do not understand all the negative reviews, it is not Wells Fargo or Citi which prey on poor folks. This is an EXCELLENT supermarket branch with free parking always available and good hours. Staff turnover is what you would expect but everyone is effective.”
“I opened a new checking account, saving account, three CD accounts and two new credit cards. I’m totally satisfied with the Bank and the staff. I like that I could link my Fidelity investments account my US Bank account and USBank APP. I like that the bank has a ATM machine inside the bank. The staff wrote me a letter to take to the Social Security office to have my check deposited automatically into my checking account. Great service”

“Update 7-29-25: Ashley was so helpful when I came in to deposit a check! The process was easy, stress-free, and she even explained to me different bank accounts to get me the most dividends earnings! Wow! No one has ever explained that stuff to me so simply and easy to understand. I appreciate you, Ashley!!! Thank you so much! And this staff member did all that with a positive attitude and smile. Accessibility: there are two accessible parking spots close to the entrance but not directly in front of it. The ramp to get onto the sidewalk is here too. The doors to enter this NFCU are pull doors and there is an ATM outside.”
