“Such a fun and easy way to reduce your environmental footprint with zero plastics. Plus their lineup of everyday essentials gets better every time we visit. Not to mention the friendliest folks there to help you out. We love Re!!”
“Been drinking this milk since my childhood in the 70's when the cows were at the corner and across the street. (Still have my parents wooden bottle caddy) We use to stick our heads out the windows and mooooo at them. Great family memory to the Montebello Dairy. I will continue to go there as long as they're still around. I can't forget about the jumbo fresh eggs at a very good price. Chocolate milk? DELICIOUS! EGG nog? Prefer in glass, but I still purchase it, The Best! My granddaughters refuse to drink out of plastic since I've introduced them to my childhood milk. What I do miss is the Popsicles and fudgesicles, and 50/50 bars from there, but it's ok the milk is still the THE BEST!!! Thank you for still being around. See you soon. God Bless.”
“Lots of life supplies, clean and sufficient. Vegetables and fruits are fresh and cheap. I love this place.
???
They don't hide their weekly special sale items. Instead, they are right in front of you when you enter the market. And you can tell the quality of the fruits and vegetables is still under control. I highly recommend their tomatoes, potatoes, and bell peppers, which will ensure a perfect dinner salad.
???
I forgot to mention the best part of this grocery market: There is a DMV registration kiosk located in front. Just FYI.”
“Clean and tidy store. Nicely laid out. I just moved from Ireland to California and had my first visit today. Great reminder of home, traditional Irish shop. Amazed at all the good quality Irish products and great prices. Will definitely be making many return visits here. Highly recommend!”
“First time visiting Voskevaz Market yesterday - Welcoming friendly staff, fresh produce and very well stocked. One stop shopping very pleasant experience - highly recommend! Hasmig Lia Kazandjian ?”
“Love my shopping experiences here! The store is always so clean and the staff goes above and beyond when I ask for help. There was even one time I couldn't find my debit card after paying and Alex was so kind and searched the parking lot high and low with me... he was incredibly kind and patient considering how frazzled I was (turns out my toddler snagged my card and tossed it in the grocery bag.) Stephanie has been kind enough to help me load my car on a rainy day so I could get my son in quicker. I've had two separate occasions where I had to park at the bank next door and someone offered to help me to my car!
Everyone is attentive and eager to help me find an item or let me know when the next order is arriving if they're out!
If my son spills his snack or drink while we're shopping and I ask for a paper towel, I'm met with a smile and they won't let me clean up my own mess... It's humbling.
Obviously everyone loves Trader Joe's selection and prices... But this is by far my favorite location because of the genuine care from their team. ☺️”
“It's always a pleasant experience going shopping to trader Joe's. The employees are respectful and ready to assist you in any case. It has been a very good experience for me.?❤️”
“Went in to find cream sherry for cooking and couldn't find it. There was one row of bottles in the wine area and one of the folks spent a couple of minutes finding it for me. Great service”
“Trader Joe’s is the best grocery store, hands down. Everything is so unique, affordable, and actually good quality. You can always find fun new items along with all your staples, and somehow everything just hits. This specific location is especially clean, and everyone is so friendly, which makes the whole experience even better. It’s one of those places you go in for a few things and leave with a cart full, in the best way.”
“This was my first time dropping by the OG Trader Joes store....it is so small and adorable compared to the other ones I've been too. But they had pretty much everything in there that you'd find at any of the other ones, all packed in there nice & neatly organized. It was clean, not too crowded, fellow shoppers seemed happy and were polite..and not that this matters but attractive too....like all of them...everyone in the whole store, and the staff was buzzin around checkin on people and smilin happy to be there. I'd say overall my visit was a success and I'll for sure be going back soon! :)”
“Small trade Joe's, but it has the essential. And yes! Theirs a bathroom on this one. parking lot it's small, but their plenty of parking on the street .
Be safe my people”
“I had the best experience at Chasste Family Market. Drove out today all the way from West Hollywood because I wanted to try their food and pick up some Filipino snacks. I’m a Mestizo so I rarely get a chance to eat Filipino food. These guys treat you like family. They take time to ask every person if they’re familiar with the food. Give you samples and give you the history of the business. I felt good spending my money there. Food was solid. My favorite was the original Turon. Omg the crunch. Nothing like it! I’ll be back. Thank you guys so much. I hope your business continues to thrive!”
“A nice market - it’s not the largest in the city but has some vegetables, nut sand fruit, a bit of bakery goods and some ready to eat food. I recommend checking it out if you are in town on the opening days”
“If you know New York, this is your common "Bodega," just down on the bend of Main in Frogtown. All the DWP and locals can get a great handmade ? and good chicken soup.”
“I love coming here, the store is very clean, great environment. The store has many great foods and snacks for affordable prices. Staff are welcoming and very helpful.”
“Gelson’s is my favorite place to get terrific fish. Very short check out line, cheerful employees and help in both the produce finding green beans and in the meat section getting a near perfect cut of King Salmon.”

“Super professional courteous and hospitable staff. They have so much stuff in here:
car repair equipment, laundry detergent, baseball caps, a wide and colorful variety of alcoholic drinks, etc..
The prices are literally standard. Nothing is a spectacular deal FYI.
What does suck is that there are a lot of homeless looking wino looking people congregating in the parking lot, and I literally saw one pee immediately to the south of the building.
There’s two liquor stores closer to my house, but I choose to go out of my way to come to this one because of the hospitality and the wide variety of products. I will recommend for sure and I will return most definitely”

“Our SDA Church's book store has best Adventist book's from Ellen G White. Love the Brother and Sister Staff. Best Vigie food made of soy, the best. Highly recommended. God Bless You..”
“Very good as always. Later in the day most flowers are in a very bad shape. I think they should reduce prices after a certain time since the selection is limited and in very bad shape. Delicious pain au chocolat.”
“This Market an amazing jewel of the community. The husband & wife/owners are always helping small vendors by directly carrying their products &/or by allowing them to do pop-up's outside the market. They carry locally crafted organic chorizo, longaniza, organic blue corn & flour tortillas, salsas & a bunch of other goodies. God bless these people for everything they do to make our community better”
“I learned of this place on social media. Since it's in our neighborhood, I went to browse. They have specialty items which were nice. The items that are also sold at regular markets are overpriced here. I went over to the bread area and there was almost nothing available and it was 9am. Maybe the bakery inventory didn't arrive yet, but I was disappointed that I couldn't try their European breads.”
“So, today was a good day. I missed las manña itas de la virgen at el Mercadito in Boyle Heights but without knowing, they had a celebration for la Virgen Maria.
I had a good time. Yhey gave tacos but they also sell fried tacos and also sell great chicharones.
We came from foodforless to buy them here.”

“Great customer service. When we want something they don't have, the owner will try to order it and usually gets it in. If there's a line, it moves quickly.”
“Went the day before Thanksgiving to buy a tomahawk steak but they were sold out. One of the butchers there recommended cowboy cut instead. He explained the different grade of beef and we ended up buying prime cuts at $27.99/lb. It was pricey but definitely worth the price as it was buttery soft and a big hit at our Thanksgiving dinner.”
“A neighborhood gem!
I enjoy shopping at the Stater Bros. on Whittier Blvd in West Whittier. Ever since they moved into the new location, the experience has been fantastic. The store is consistently spotless, bright, and incredibly well-organized, making it easy to find everything I need.
The real highlight, however, is their legendary meat department. The certified meat cutters are true professionals—always willing to offer a custom cut or seasoning advice—and the quality of their ribeyes and marinated meats is simply unmatched by other local chains. The produce section is equally impressive, always stocked with fresh, crisp fruits and vegetables.
Beyond the products, it’s the people that make this store special. The staff is genuinely friendly and helpful, giving the place a warm, community feel that you just don’t get at big-box stores. Whether I'm grabbing a quick dinner of their delicious Cleo & Leo fried chicken or doing a full week's grocery run, this Stater Bros. never disappoints. Highly recommended!”
“Usually liquor stores are just stop and go kind of spot but this spot is on a different level, they got a large selection of exotic snacks , foods , and drinks. With art that represents the community that it's in. Best liquor store in El Sereno??”
“Trader Joe's came in at first place according to Korean Times for best places to shop for groceries!! I told the staff that their store, in Pasadena, is always clean, fully stocked and has the friendliest customer service people working there. They have fresh fruits and veggies, a lot of organics to choose from and it's nice they sample new products, like the Belgium heart chocolates today. I had to get some for galentines. Also, they have the best prices for orchids, plants and fresh cut flowers!!”

“The quesadillas are not only tremendous in proportion, but also taste. This place kills chipotle and dances on its grave. Don't even mention the other food trucks nearby, they cannot hold a candle to this holy palace given by god.”
“So glad that they survived the Eaton fire, even though so many neighbors did not. Their selection varies (like with all locations), but what they do have is a great value.”
“Small businesses like these are the lifeblood of community. This shop is amazing and just what the neighborhood needed. Farm fresh produce and artisan-made pantry items are a breath of fresh air from the mega chain “health food stores” up the block. Their weekly CSA box is also very reasonably priced. Love this shop so much”
