Don’t think they know who I am but I stop by their auto shop several times for small jobs and flat tires. I am no longer live in San Mateo but every time I drive by it. I always add gas in my car even its full. I peek at them and pray they stay healthy and well.”

“The gas here is always so much cheaper than nearby places--this spot is my go-to when I'm in the area. The location is very convenient and when I go inside, the attendant is helpful and friendly. I've never had any problems with my credit card here (I can only assume the complainers are a loud minority--it seems they've fixed their problem a year or two ago) or with the pumps. Everything is pretty clean and I always have a smooth experience here. I definitely recommend this place over the other stations in the area.”

“My maintenance required light and low tire pressure light both came on within two weeks of moving to the area. As a female I HATE getting car stuff done. I've experienced being charged more or upsold just because I'm a woman. I found HCC on yelp and put in a call. They're connected to the 76 gas station. They were able to get me in same day to change my oil, rotate my tires, and adjust my tire pressure same day. Randy is very kind and the people working with him all seemed diligent and happy to be there. The prices are reasonable & they worked quickly to help me get out of there. Being new, Randy even took to the time to tell me where I could walk to and explore while they worked. Really nice.”

“Really 3 star station. Extra star for staff. Good service. For how big the property is And how many pumps they have, a larger convenient store seems sensible. If traveling north on El Camino this stop should be skiipped, unless you are a fan of U-turns. Arcos are typically one of the most cost effective fuel choices though.”
“Idk why this place has low stars but I like it. I go in get my gas and snacks if needed. Conveniently close to my house and supermarket although gas prices have been insane the cashiers inside have been nice and let me get air for my tires after getting my gas. the only downside is sometimes it leaks water off the roof and splatters my car but mostly it's empty and great lighting for safety.”

“The reason I am writing this is review: one of the employees opened a package in front of me with his teeth before handing it over.
Maybe just a me-issue, but aside from medical issues I can see from a man’s lips and saliva gently rubbing over a product that I’m about to use, I see a major demand for a box cutter to make sure the shrink wrap wouldn’t hurt the lips/teeth/gums of the employee.
I have been at this gas station/car wash probably over 30 times so far.
I like that it is located at a great spot, always available for pumping gas, can park around the lot when done.
Gets an added star for not having seen any vagrant characters once!
Negative/neutral: staff is friendly, but usually can’t speak even basic English - for picking a product or having a receipt printed-.
It happened to me twice that the car wash number on the receipt didn’t work, so I had to circle around to ask for a different car wash number.
(Major comms issue here)
The car wash has some valve issue, so the car gets sprayed with leaking water/chemical after done, and leaves foamy residues after the blowers.
The blowers are running way too short for my full size sedan, definitely not long enough for an SUV or truck.”

“This is or local Shell Gas station and we fill 90% of our gas here. In the past, there were some issues with the pumps not auto-filling and you had to hold down the lever. For 20 gallons, this would start to hurt your hands. Thankfully they have fixed this issue. I get my car washed here also and have never had an issue. If you sign up for a car wash, you get 20 cents off per gallon. This is also a great place to buy lottery tickets or a soda for the road. My family is pretty happy with this Shell.”
