“We have stayed at this hotel twice in the last five years. Each time was a great experience. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Convenient for traveling around San Francisco or getting to the airport. Very nice rooms and great breakfast.”

“The room quality is at the same level with 3 and 4 star hotels. It even has way more necessary appliances, which include a microwave, a little refrigerator, an electric kettle and a nice coffee maker. I’ve stayed at various places from a Best Western to a 5 star hotel but this place is by far the most convenient. We got 1 free water bottle, no cookie like some other reviews mentioned but that’s totally fine with me.Great location. Tons of restaurants that are literally next door. One thing to improve though. I booked via a 3rd party, so it looked like I need to confirm my booking before checking in but we never received any reminder or guidelines to do so. I called the number and a lady helped me through the process. I felt that she just wanted to be done with me lol, kept asking me if she could hang up. I mean this is new to me so please be patient and wait until I get my room number. The call didn’t even last past 10 minutes I believe.Overall it’s a great stay. I’ll take this place over the Marriott Marquis.”

“Overall this is a budget hotel that’s a cut above the usual. The location is a bit inconvenient unless you have a car, but that does help protect it from loud, crazy people. Since my room was on the side away from the highway I had no problems with noise and slept well.Safeway is close by for groceries and the kitchenette is sufficient for preparing simple meals. The manager seems like a nice guy, and he was helpful and responsive to requests. Another desk clerk, Walter, was also very nice and helpful. The room is a decent size and everything worked well. One downside is the lack of housekeeping service. I would have preferred if they offered to change the sheets and sweep the room every four or five days. Aside from that it is a reasonable value for the SF area.”

“The owner took good care of us like family even though it was not check-in time. He is a natural businessman who is very kind and checks to make sure nothing is missing. He warmly treats his customers like family. Highly recommended!! If you are looking for sophisticated travel accommodation, this will not end in just one visit. This is a place where repeat visits are welcome. Have a nice time traveling!! Thank you ♡♡”

“I was here for a week for a company meeting. It’s a typical full-service Marriott, which is to say, excellent, but pricey. The location is convenient to SFO, but far from scenic, as it’s nestled in the California sprawl. There is a nice neighborhood of 50’s MCM ranches next door that’s a great place to walk or run if you want some outdoor exercise. Downtown San Mateo is also within walking distance, lots of good restaurants there. My room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, not that I was there much. The meeting rooms were well-appointed, kept tidy, and the A/V setups worked well. Catering was better than most (the usual for a Marriott), though we did see some of the lunches more than once during the week.”

“Pleasantly surprised.Staff was nice & helpful. The room (double queen) was huge. Microwave, good sized fridge, table & chairs, desk with an office chair. Good for a family, plenty of room to spread out.I liked that there was a restaurant & bar on the premises. The menu is admittedly basic but after a long day to be able to eat & have a cocktail without leaving the property was for me, huge.I noticed that they have a hot tub. With hotels in the area all at $250 plus this property is a good value. I found it to be clean, and with a lot of nice features for the weary traveler.Food & drinks: Most hotels this size don’t have a restaurant & bar.”
