“We had a wonderful experience at the Homewood Suites in Belmont thanks to Lina at the front desk. We were not hotel patrons and were simply using the car charging facility, yet Lina was incredibly hospitable and generous, checking in on us and making sure we were comfortable. What really stood out was that she treated every guest with the same warmth and a genuine smile. When you are tired and struggling, that kind of kindness makes such a difference. “This is probably the first time I’ve voluntarily written a review. My piercing cap fell out late at night and I asked Vincent for an alcohol wipe. After I explained the situation, he went above and beyond to help me. he even found a sewing kit, and the needle helped me put it back in after an hour of struggling. He genuinely saved my day and was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Thanks Vincent for making the stay so much happier!”

“Saw their truck nearby and figured I’d check them out since I needed some routine maintenance done. The team at the motel took care of everything quickly, getting in and out without any fuss. It’s nice to see a place keep things tidy while they’re working—no mess left behind, which is always appreciated (not that cleaning up after others is anyone's idea of fun). If you’re out here in San Mateo and need something sorted fast, these folks definitely get the job done.”

“I had a very good stay here overall, especially because of the service. This is a motel, not a luxury hotel, but the staff here are genuinely excellent. The service is honestly the best I have ever received at a hotel or motel. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and easy to talk to.
The room I stayed in was clean, and getting fresh linens was easy. The free breakfast was also pretty decent for what it is: packaged hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, instant oatmeal, breakfast bars, muffins, powdered hot chocolate, and coffee. The coffee was not great, but the breakfast is included with the room, so I appreciated having it available.
There were a few issues. The laminate flooring in my room stuck to the bottom of my feet and started pulling up as I walked, which was unpleasant and should be repaired. Also, one of the elevators was broken, so only half of the elevators were working.
That said, I felt very safe here. The property was well lit, the guests and employees I met were friendly, and people regularly said hello in passing. For the price, this was a strong value stay with outstanding service.”
