“Very clean rooms, quiet and peaceful. We had complimentary breakfast and went to the patio area afterwards; which was absolutely gorgeous! We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you!”

“Wonderful Service Experience! When I Misplaced My Wallet after Check-In Time, I Was Frantic and Back-Tracking From the Room, My Car, The Lobby, the Professional Young Man Behind the Counter Showed us the Same Care and Concern Like it Was His Own Wallet. I Ended up Finding Where it Dropped. I'm Telling Anyone: If You Want Service that Goes Above and Beyond, This is the Place You Want”

“I recently stayed two nights at Acqua Hotel in Mill Valley for my friend’s 40th birthday, and I can honestly say the service was some of the best I’ve experienced. The staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely accommodating. They went out of their way to make our celebration special.

One of the highlights for me was how they handled a last-minute request. I had planned to gift my friend a yoga and sound bath session, but the wind outside was intense. Without hesitation, the team quickly pulled together to let us use an indoor space, something they absolutely didn’t have to do, but did with so much kindness. It made all the difference.

I didn’t catch everyone’s name (I wish I had, because they were all so great), but I want to give a special shoutout to Phron, Pedro, Margey, and Jeremy for being especially helpful and welcoming.

The hotel itself was also such a gem: a full breakfast was included with our stay, and each evening they offered complimentary wine and cheese (plus delicious cookies!). The room and common areas were very clean, which is always a top priority for me.

Another unexpected treat was the location. It’s just outside the bustle of San Francisco, so you get the peaceful vibe of Mill Valley, while still being close enough for easy day trips into the city. There are beautiful hiking trails nearby too. I don’t normally hike, but I really enjoyed the Mount Tamalpais trail with its breathtaking views. Bonus: it was even wheelchair accessible.

I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Acqua Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing, friendly, and well-located place to stay just outside SF. Thank you everyone!!”

“Stayed two nights. Location was near the airport and very convenient to shopping and restaurants. Dog friendly. Very clean and nice staff. There is a $100 refundable fee. Employees to not ,make the rules - so not sure why people feel they have the right to harass them. Would definitely stay again.”

“For those who like the iconic Queen Anne Hotel in SF, well Berkeley has its own in the Berkeley City Club. Opened in 1930, the club has 35 rooms on three floors but also is a fully functioning club. The ambience and service were excellent and the bar area lively in the evening. No business center but plenty of areas to work or relax and read. Great location. Highly recommended. The extensive pictures below speak for themselves..”

“This hotel is conveniently located off the freeway, close to shopping and several restaurants.
There is a Bistro Cafe on the premises. Chef Jovon was very kind and gracious coming by to check if everything was to our satisfaction. It was the first time a Chef has come by my table to see if everything was okay.
The parking lot is clean and spacious. As you enter the hotel lobby, you are immediately greeted with a warm hello and welcome. Angie made us feel like we were coming home from a long trip. ?
Our check-in was fast and effortless (we had a late check-in). The room was very clean and inviting. It had all the things we have come to expect in a hotel room, including a coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, iron, and ironing board.  My husband loves to unpack and get comfortable. There were ample drawer spaces. And plenty of hangers. It was very quiet and peaceful.
The bed was super comfy. I normally wake up with shoulder pain at home, but I had absolutely no pain while I was here. I have to find out what type of mattresses they use. ?
Our stay here has made us want to stay at other Marriott properties in the future. We will definitely be staying here when we come back to the Bay Area.”

“Stayed awhile, nearly 0 complaints, staff was fast to respond to needs and requests. Cleaning service sometimes didn't change the sheets or comforter. Fitness center was quite small, could only fit 3 cardio users and 1 person doing something else. Would stay again!”

“Rooms: Large and spacious...good bed

Nearby activities: Emeryville train station, public market, downtown stores

Safety: Area is well lit and several malls and shops nearby...didn't notice any homeless encampment but would not suggest walking after 9 pm...beware of cars!

Walkability: Reasonable for California but definitely not encouraged as cars have the upper hand in all cases including pedestrian crossings...not scenic by any means”

“Gorgeous views! It was the perfect spot when I need to wait out traffic after flying into Oakland and staying in Napa.

They have Clicquot and Clicquot Rose By the glass. I had a glass with their oysters ?”

“The staff was very flexible. I originally booked for the wrong date through booking.com. I called the Inn directly and explained what happened. They arrange a room for a party of two. I needed the room for that evening. Marina Inn Berkeley is 2.1 miles from UCB. I am very grateful to the staff for helping me out at the last minute and providing us a very tidy and clean bedroom. It was a very pleasant stay. Thank you”

“We loved this nicely maintained historic hotel. It's conveniently located right downtown and beside the ferry terminal if you want to hop an easy ride over to SF, which we did (only a 30 min ride). The rooms are a bit small, but very comfortable. Ours had a terrific view of the waterfront. Hotel has an elevator, an item often missed not in vintage lodging. Highly recommend this location.”

“Enjoyed my staycation from the beginning to the end. Asia is the most Pleasant front desk operator and Kiki at the bar was a joy to vibe with. My room was clean very well. “Unfortunately the event we were attending was cancelled last minute. The Hotel was extremely accommodating and helped to cancel the room. Thank you for making this process easy, and I look forward to staying here on my next visit to Berkeley!”

“Review is just for the coffee shop downstairs. Needed a quick cup of joe for a ride across the bay and this place was conveniently located across the street. Came in and got a cafe au lait which was creamy and delicious. The space is a little tight and can't really fit more than 1-2 people by the entrance and once you order and pay, there are just a few tables indoors that you can choose to sit at.”

“Rooms were simple, clean and well cared for, though nothing like a modern renovated motel or hotel. The parking area and walkways to the rooms, even though they are trying with the abundance of plastic colorful flowers in the planters, are kind of bleak. Extremely close to Kaiser Hospital.”

“Great cozy little place, but pretty spacious rooms. A little bit older, but looks to be in very good condition, a lot of modern amenities, and well maintained. Extremely pleasant service. The young lady at the desk was very accommodating to help me out with a work related issue. Cool little café downstairs too. Would definitely stay again, and will 100% recommend.”

“We stayed here 3 nights for a staycation for Spring Break. Yes, even pre-schoolers get Spring Break, LOL! Overall a family friendly, clean, and comfortable stay. The Lodge is a 3-level motel-style facility with lots of big rooms and covered walkways on each level. It is located on the main road in Tiburon so super convenient walking distance to grocery stores and restaurants. Things we liked most: 1. Two comfy queen beds - everyone slept well for 3 nights. 2. Great breakfast restaurant attached to the lodge - Tiburon Tavern (separate Yelp review pending) 3. Attentive service - my 3yo son accidentally knocked my phone behind the heavy TV stand, which seems to be bolted to the carpet. They sent someone to our room with a metal rod which helped fish my phone back. They also fixed the elevator lighting after a day - before it was flickering and scary like in a horror movie. 4. Plentiful parking in the lot and free (no need to enter/leave with ticket through the gate). Areas for Improvement (most minor): 1. The gym is super tiny with just 3 ellipticals I think. a bench and set of dumbbells would have been nice! 2. I don't recall any free coffee in the lobby, but I did see hot water dispensers for tea. 3. The Lodge is a bit dated but everything is functional. Maybe future updates could be a room thermostat and maybe updated carpeting. 4. Our shampoo dispenser also didn't work well so we had to twist the nozzle and squeeze hard.”

“Don't let the location steer you away from this motel. The inside is really nice and clean. The rooms are spacious and outside noise wasn't an issue. The man at the front desk was very helpful and accomplished. I really appreciate his help and, should I be in the location again, I would definitely stay here again.”

“At the rate paid for the room was awesome. A glass walk-in shower with sliding doors, and a body mirror in the bathroom was awesome. Clean wrapped 6 ounce gargling cups or beverage cups. The bathroom was clean with clean towels, hand towels, and face towels. The bedding was comfortable, I could not get up. The television worked and the sockets in the wall to recharge electric appliances. Most of all, I like the studying desk. For under a hundred dollars a night, I consider it fare market value....”

“a basic, well located, no frills motel. room was clean and smoke free. water pressure in the shower was a little low, but if that's the worst thing I can say, then I'd call it a win. Neighborhood is a little sketchy, but there's an awesome bar right around the corner and it was walking distance to the Amtrak station. Staff at check in and check out were very friendly and helpful.
Did end up with a double rather than a twin, but didn't care enough to switch, was only in it for a few hours after spending longer at that bar than intended!”

“I stayed at the Carquinez Inn for two nights and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the service and the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the check-in and check-out process was smooth and fast. The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed, a flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom. The balcony was a nice touch, and the wifi was reliable. The hotel also has a garden and a terrace, which are great for relaxing. The location is convenient, close to the Carquinez Strait and the Mare Island Naval Shipyard. The price was very reasonable for the value. The only downside was the noise from the nearby road, which could be bothersome at night. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Carquinez Inn and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a decent and affordable place to stay in Vallejo.”

“Dont expect to much but if you are in a budget this would be considered. No problem with the location, it is surrounded by foodies restaurant. What i dont like here is that one (1) hour before the check out, they will knock at your door informing you about the check out time. Staffs are not good and not bad.”
