“I've been out of the area for quite some time and am thrilled to learn that Mary is still holding down the fort at magical place known as the Minkler Cash Store. Been nearly 50 years since I first stopped in the store and met the owner and resident historian of Minkler, CA-Sylvia Ashcroft who happened to have had a wonderful daughter who helped her mom run the store and back in the day, the feed store across the street from the general store . Her name, Mary! I've got to get over to Minkler and grab a stool at the bar, yes I said bar! I believe the only one still in existence in all of California and catch up on things with dear, sweet Mary.”

“Very nice gas station. I went into the AMPM. Very nice! Music playing. Unfortunately, they were out of crushed ice. I just got a diet A&W instead. Safe, clean and practiced. The worker was nice at checkout. Good service and Arco/ AMPM! Recommended!”

“This used to be the old Doyle's back in the day. I hadn't been in here in a very long time, but it was near identical to the days of old. Lots of drinks, snacks, bait, tackle, etc. The guy behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. We will return here next time we are in the area. And we recommend that you check them out also.”

Just so happened to give Sanger Punjabi Market a try and was pleased to know they had exactly what we were looking for. Sim was extremely helpful and friendly. “Great place to go, especially when you're in need of basics and DONT want to stand in line like those bigger stores. Typically, im in and out. The staff is very friendly and helpful. ONE thing I noticed is that customers are getting mad because they're getting ID for making alcohol purchases, and these poor associates take the heat for their retail way of business. Honestly, I didn't mind getting carded. I mean, we all should have our driver's license as it is no big deal. Very clean place despite not having a single trash can inside.”

He was also thoughtful in knowing I had a large order that may hold up the drive thru for others, which I appreciated the heads up. No one likes waiting and I didn't want to be the culprit! So, when I called ahead to get prices to compare with coupons, I called back to let him know I was on my way. He found additional coupons for me, which saved me $20! Very quick! He's professional, thoughtful and caring.”
