Oliver's Market in Montecito is a well-loved grocery store known for its wide selection of local, organic, and conventional products. Customers appreciate the store's commitment to quality, especially in the meat department, where they highlight the transparency about the farms and ethical practices. The store offers fresh fruits, vegetables, mushrooms, and a good variety of specialty departments such as bakery, sushi, seafood, flowers, and more, providing a convenient shopping experience. Although the aisles can be tight when busy and parking may not accommodate large trucks or trailers, the store's overall convenience and quality make it worth visiting. The cheese section is particularly praised for its excellence, and employees are recognized for their helpfulness and knowledge, with some staff members having long-standing tenure. Customers also value the store’s efforts to offer local products and the friendly, patient service, especially in departments like Wellness. While the seafood, such as Dungeness crab, can occasionally disappoint if not handled properly, the store generally maintains high standards and promptly addresses issues with refunds. Overall, Oliver’s Market is seen as a place that cares about quality, transparency, and customer satisfaction, making it a trusted destination for fresh produce, meats, and specialty items in Sonoma County.
