“This place was absolutely amazing. Fantastic breakfast burritos, great service, friendly and helpful staff. This is the place to go if you need anything for breakfast. We ordered 40 burritos and called back to order 40 more for another day they were that good. They have a nice market as well an all around one-stop-shop.”

“Such a beautiful store with an amazing variety of products! And the best part — they now carry authentic Ukrainian cuisine in the frozen section. Look for Varenyky (pierogi) and crepes (mlyntsi) from Ukrainian Flavors ?”

“Wow. How I wish I lived closer! It's like Trader Joe's on steroids. Aisle after aisle of awesome health related products. A huge cold tray area for building your own salad as well as a place to order sandwiches, pastas, potato salad, etc. There are tons of fresh veggies and fresh cut and potted plants.”

“Los Olivos is a small, relaxing place to stop along a Hwy 101 trip. The food at Gandolfo is so fresh and flavorful. Their fresh blueberry coffee cake is divine. My Mediterranean salad with balsamic vinaigrette was so refreshing on a hot day. Look what I found among the plethora of healthy drinks in the fridge! Artesian water from New Zealand, in glass instead of plastic. Way to go. It’s the first place I’ve seen this brand in the States. I saw it in Auckland, New Zealand about 18 months ago. It’s so delicious and thirst quenching. Staff here told me Gandolfo has only been open about a year. The place is already popular, for good reason. Good luck Gandolfo.”

“Solvang resident here. . . although we shop here on a regular basis (please keep expanding your organic options - which are a large part of what we shop for) because we prefer to support our local and community based. Driving a half hour to save just doesn't sound like a real savings - especially if you value your time.

One question I do have. . . do you offer senior discounts? If so, when?

That might get some of the Santa Maria shoppers at a large 'members only' store to spend more dollars right here in the Santa Ynez Valley.”

“I’m my experience, this is the best farm stand in coastal California. I have lived in Santa Cruz and Marin County and I have a lot of experience with farmers markets and farm stands. There are several things that make the Givens Farm stand exceptional. One is the ultra high quality of the organic produce. Everything is really good and really fresh. The second thing is the variety of stuff that they have. They grow and sell everything you can find anywhere. Asparagus (red and green), blueberries, zucchini, and everything in between. The third thing is the additional stuff they sell, including eggs and bread and grass fed beef. The bread is probably the best in California. It competes favorably with top bakeries like Roan Mills in Fillmore and Companion Bakery in Santa Cruz. Additionally, there are cookies and amazing organic cakes baked by some of the people who work at the farm stand (Bona Dia). Basically, this place has everything you need and the quality and freshness are off the charts. It’s also pretty easy to get to, just off Highway 101 south of Buellton. Beautiful farm, nice people, and amazing things to eat that are very very healthy!”

“Great little market that carry all camping items you need but forgot at home. Price are reasonable. There was never a time we visited the store and did not find what we need for the weekend trip.Store is run by outside vendor, Rocky Mountain Recreation Company. Nearest full service supermarket is 20 miles away in Buellton. Not worth 2 hours of vacation time.Kids enjoy biking to the store by them selves buy ice cream/soda. Few time you will safe letting go to convenience store by themselves.”

“I'm sure there are other convenience stores in Solvang, but this was the only one I saw in the downtown/old town area of the city, was close to our hotel, and it saved our bacon more than once during our trip! Convenient hours, a large collection of drinks, snacks, alcohol and grab-and-go meals and supplies, we probably visited at least four times during our two-day stay, to grab something we forgot, ran out of, or needed for the next leg of our impromptu road trip. The staff were friendly and easy to talk to, as well. Perhaps its not the most elegantly laid out, or priced, but in a pinch, the Solvang Market & Deli had everything we needed, when we needed it.”
