We came here after La Mesa office cancelled our passport appointments 3 times due to staff shortage. Rosie went above and beyond to help us get our passport application completed in less than 15 min, she is very knowledgeable kind and understanding. “We were visiting from out of state & had more stuff to take home than we came with. We stopped by the Post Office to look at box sizes, etc., and were really pleased with the help we received. We weren't sure what we needed & the two men there were very helpful, and suggested items we might need---tape, bubble wrap, and box size--as well as helping us figure out cost comparisons for different shipping. Everyone likes to complain, it seems, so it's nice to be able to give a good review for those who do their job, do it well, and act like they actually care. It was a really pleasant experience & everything arrived home in good condition.”

Every post office needs people like them. i didnt have a passport appointment last friday, i just went to ask information since it wasnt too far from my house. Troy told me that if i have my documents with me、they will help me since i was already there. I have been waiting for a suitcase from Germany for a long time, and it falls on the weekend and falls on Monday, which is the Martin Luther King holiday. According to the Internet, the package has arrived at the post office, but it will not be delivered until the next day. But because I have to take the flight back to my country the next day, I specially go. On one trip, the postmen passing by enthusiastically asked me what kind of help I needed. After looking around for no goods, they said they would pay special attention to me. I received the package more than an hour later. I just happened to see the postman appearing in the sun. I think they are all angels”

“Definitely a nice post office lots of parking, automatic doors, big inside, lots of PO boxes. The lady inside was fast and friendly. Did not see alot of staff which is pretty normal now a days, but overall nice place. Definitely had to use maps to find it since its tucked away so well.”

Even though it’s now out of my way, I continue to keep my PO Box here because the staff are that incredible. Every single person who works here is kind, patient, and genuinely helpful. I’ve watched them deal with some truly difficult customers, and they still manage to stay calm, friendly, and even laugh it off. That says a lot.
Today really summed it up for me. I walked in and they greeted me by name — “Michael, here’s your box.” No line, no confusion, no hassle. They knew exactly why I was there and took care of it immediately.
In a time when customer service often feels rushed or impersonal, this place feels the opposite. You’re treated like a human being, not a number. That kind of consistency and care is rare, and it deserves to be recognized.
Hands down, the best post office I’ve ever been to. If the people who work here ever wonder if it makes a difference — it absolutely does.”

“On my first time visit on June 23, 2026 @ 3:30pm. Staff was readily available. The express pop up counter was out of service, but staff was very helpful. After multiple stops to find a shorter line in the area before flying out of state. I need to ship some stuff home so I didn't have to pay for a checked bag at the airport. I did noticed how the priority boxes have SHRANK in size over the pass few years. I'm a regular at shipping care packages, so keep this in mind. The airport also is changing, hence why i rather mail for $35 than pay $55+ for a checked bag that is not guaranteed to get to my final destination when I get there. My package did make it home the next day when i got home cross country. Thank you men and women for getting the job done. We still need you and your service and attention to detail to get the job done. It's unfortunate that staff have to work on Sundays. Let's fix this issue IMMEDIATELY! Parking was great.”

“I do love the post office but Ryan is correct, just because a dog barks the mail man stop delivering the mail. Without any notice, we had to go to the office to find out, that because of our miniature dog barks we didn’t have our mail delivered.”
“First time visiting! Went on a busy Monday morning around 930am. I had 30 envelopes that I had to mail out for Father’s Day. I waited in a line for less than 5minutes. The postal agent took good care of each envelope printing out stamps for each one. My experience overall was good. I highly recommend this location.”

“I visited this post office after having a very bad experience at the chula vista on 3rd post office from one of the Asian staff and nothing compared to the services at the city heights office. I received great customer service, fast, helpful and efficient services from the young male staff.”
“I needed help sending a package to Japan and making sure that I had the right address information entered in the correct boxes on the label and customs form since their address format is a little different than ours -- I didn't want to risk writing something wrong and have my package end up at the wrong place. The first woman I went to at the counter said she couldn't help me and turned me away, but ✨Mack✨ stepped in to save the day. He is from Japan and was very knowledgeable in helping me to decode the address and make sure I had everything correct. I was very nervous and messed up a few times but he was very patient with me. He is a treasure; I wish my local post office had someone as helpful and patient as him!

Plenty of parking onsite.
This location also has one of those after hours large package drop off bins which I appreciate, especially if I need to drop something off on a Sunday. But if it does get full, it will get jammed. Only happens once in awhile.”
