“One of my favorite book stores. Better prices than almost anywhere else and you're supporting a library when you shop there. They take cash and card which is a plus for a Friends bookstore. The staff is always super nice. I think they're volunteers but they should get a raise anyway.”
“Today was the Saratoga Safety Fair with booths in the parking lot. I met many safety resources and enjoyed a coffee and played in their visit booths, get a stamp and try to win an Emergency Backpack. I got information from Firewise booth for property fire prevention methods to give my friends. I also recommend everyone learn about CERT and resources for neighborhood watch. I recommend everyone sign up for Alerts via the County.
It was a wonderful event,Thank you Saratoga ❤️”
“Cold weather. Rainy climate. Lots of mosquitoes. Also saw a human poop on one of the rocks there. It is probably still there, go to the main road next to the kitchen, turn right, and walk on the path (the one with basically no elevation change) while looking to your right. On one of the mossy rocks that is tilted towards the kitchen you should see a black poop about 5 inches long. There are 4 segments on it. Tasted bitter with a hint of salt. It's texture is pretty smooth though.
Or so I was told”
“Very courteous staff took the time to call us for an inquiry as we need to locate a friend of mine's grandmother's grave been a long time since you've been there”
“Aurora and her team at the summer camp are outstanding! My daughter enjoys the program so much. They are aligned with some great values that they are teaching and modeling to the kids. You know it’s a good thing when the kids don’t want to leave. Thank you Y!”
“We’ve had such a wonderful experience at Butterflies Academy and feel very grateful to be part of this community.
Children spend a large part of their day outdoors, and also eat outside when possible, which creates such a natural and active rhythm. This is huge comparing to other preschools allowing 45-90min outside time total in a day.
The school is truly play-based, with a beautiful outdoor space full of sand, dirt, grass, and nature-based play.
Ms. Naz and the Teachers are incredibly supportive and work closely with parents. Adaptation is as smooth as possible, and the Teachers never force a “drop and leave crying child” approach.
Communication is excellent, we receive photos and videos as the day goes by, and there is a warm, active parent group chat.
The community is amazing, with potlucks, camping trips, seasonal events, field trips like pumpkin patches, and parents are welcomed into the classroom weekly. It really feels like a village.
We also love the focus on healthy habits, including fruit instead of sweets for birthdays and regular food tastings (my child even learned to eat carrots here).
The enrichment programs are fantastic as well with yoga, music, arts and crafts, and so many creative activities that make every week engaging and exciting.
Highly recommend Butterflies Academy to everybody.”
