“We really enjoyed the cozy, quiet atmosphere at Skyview Inn. The views were beautiful, and our room felt comfortable and homey. There also weren’t many people around during our stay, which made it feel peaceful and relaxing. The main house was especially charming and felt like walking into a huge, cozy home. There were lots of activities for kids, including wooden tic-tac-toe, Jenga, books, dominoes, and a piano. It was a really nice touch and made the common area feel welcoming and fun. Unfortunately, there were also several issues that took away from the experience. The shower was extremely small, to the point where it was difficult to wash without getting your hair wet. There was also quite a bit of visible water damage throughout the bathroom. The areas around the shower, sink, and toilet were swollen, deteriorating, and appeared to have mold. We noticed similar water-damage issues with the kitchen cabinets, sink area, and flooring. We also had an ant problem in the kitchen. We left a cookie and some blueberries on the counter for only a few hours and came back to find ants all over the food and throughout the kitchen. When we moved the paper towels, there were many ants underneath them as well, and we noticed some in the bathroom. When we reported this, we were told that someone would spray with bug spray. We would have preferred a solution that didn’t involve spraying pesticides in an occupied living space, particularly for families with young children or anyone sensitive to chemical sprays. Another disappointment was that breakfast was not being offered during our weekend, which we hadn't expected when booking. Lastly, after sleeping in the bed, we noticed several small reddish-brown stains toward the foot of the bed when we moved the blankets around. That was concerning, especially since we only noticed them afterward. Overall, Skyview Inn has a lot of charm, beautiful views, and a wonderfully cozy common area, but the maintenance, cleanliness, and pest issues need attention. With some repairs and better upkeep, I think this could be a really lovely place to stay again.”

“My husband and I went to the Bistro for Valentines Day, and the food was AMAZING. We both had the Steak & Lobster dinner, which was cooked to perfection. The Best we have ever had....anywhere. The staff was top notch and attentive as always. The Valentines Day decorations were really nice, and they even gave me a long stem red rose after dinner. It was truly a great and memorable Valentines Day dining experience. Thank you!”

“This is my first time visited Crestline and The North Shore Inn.It was a quick one night getaway and we sure had a great time. We got the one bedroom suite upstair.It was a cute and cozy room.Come with full size fridge,full kitchen and fireplace (They do not allow you to bring your own logs and they provided a Duraflame fire log that will basically last a longtime) Separate living room with balcony connecting bedroom and living room. Bathroom was big and clean.If you like vintage vibe type of room you’ll love this place but if you expect the modern type of room this might not be the place for you.The pillows were comfy and it’s more than enough for 2 people but the mattress was quite too soft for us but we didn’t woke up with a back pain or anything and we had a good night sleep. They have parking in the back of the building. Location was perfect! Close to everything.You can walk to the market and the lake was across the street! Perfect. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Crestline and you love vintage vibe.This is the place for you.”

“Originally had a campground but made a last minute pivot. These are beautiful and the location is super quiet and there are some amazing views. Our cabin was super clean and they stock it with snacks, coffee and little s’mores kits! So peaceful and relaxing. This was a lucky find for my son and I as we soon complete our Chicago to Santa Monica Route 66 trip.”

“Overall it’s pretty nice so I’ll give it a 4/5 Location: It’s quite close to the arrowhead lake village, you can take a walk and had food there and then come to check in. Also there’s a grocery store like 5 mins drive away ( there’s an EV charger and ATM too )! But notice that you’ll need to enter the code to open the gate to drive in ! Room: It’s clean and you got almost everything you need ! The bed and blanket are soft and cozy, the kitchen is equipped with all the utensils, kitchenware like pots, fry pans, etc. Also there’s free coffee and tea !The small living room area is nice too, there’s a cute fireplace to warm you up, nice sofa and TV with Netflix. As for the bathroom, it’s clean too, they provided many towels, shampoo, conditioner, and hair dryer. Well somehow we can’t get hot water in the bathtub (for the sink it works fine) but it’s not a big problem for us this time. Service: We’re international travelers so we didn’t have US phone number before we arrived in US, not sure if it’s because of this so we didn’t get the instructions to check in in advance. We arrived at the gate and don’t know how to open. We call the staff and she’s nice and send us the instructions right away :) ! The check in process is contactless, so remember to have the instructions ready before you enter ! Oh and I personally love the balcony a lot, there’s view in the morning from the balcony is so beautiful, the sun and the forest, so wonderful!”

“This was a really cute cabin right on the main strip of stuff in Crestline. CA. This is a great spot for families or people wanting to enjoy the river bc it’s less than a 5 minutes walk. There is park and skate park 2 minutes walking distance and the grocery store is very close and walking distance. The front desk guy is super nice and helpful! We will be back again (this was our 2nd time)”

We wanted something quirky and enchanting and boy does this place deliver. We will definitely be booking all our stays at the Fluer de Lac.”

“The best hotel in this area for sure, but still not all that. They have a pest problem and their sheets and towels are all stained. Wi-Fi does not work inside the rooms and some rooms the TV doesn't work. Not all of the lights were working and the water didn't get hot enough. Staff steals so if you can always have someone in the room, do that. They will harass you about cleaning but they don't clean themselves. The owner is great though, I would imagine his staff lies to him a lot because the way he carries himself I don't think he has an evil bone in his body. He's kind and honest. I'm sure he trusts his staff to be cleaning and doing repairs properly and probably doesn't know how poorly they actually do their jobs. I would stay there again if I'm in the area, I would just bring my own cleaning supplies and linens and my camera so I can catch them the next time they try to steal from me.”

“There was hair on my pillow before I got into bed. I doubt the bedding was laundered. There was also a curly hair on the blanket. When I arrived. Looked like pubic hair 🤮🤢😷 There is no excuse for this. Whether they washed it or not...is questionable. Did the hair get there from the dryer? - I doubt it. There's NO EXCUSE, EITHER WAY for dirty brown hairs on the pillow. I hadn't been there in years. But, returned last week for a one night stay. The pubic hair on the blanket cover was GROSS 🤮🤢 On the plus side...the non smoking room smelled like it really was as advertised. Altho there were being marks on the tub it actually smelled nice & clean. Other than the hair...it was a good stay. No continental breakfast in the morning tho. Not even coffee. That hair!!! On the bedding. I think the maid needs the tape roller that picks up lint. 🤢🤮 Other than the bed and the hair on the bed it was actually really nice.. the room was otherwise clean and I give it up plus for the fact that it was advertised as a non-smoking room and it really did smell nice and neutral and clean. The only problem was the hair on the bedding and the blanket head of bleach stain on it.. There was hair in the bathtub. Spacious interior. The night staff where immensely caring & polite & kind when I asked for a clean bath towel.”

“Wow talk about surprised the rooms were way bigger then we expected and so clean well decorated. We had a table to eat at and one for my wife to do her paper work on it was a comfortable stay they accommodated us and even moved out room last minute to a downstairs room close to our vehicle I’d give it a perfect score if I could the area way better then our trip 5 years ago for sure”
