“Went along for a relatively early dinner- the staff were excellent and friendly from start to finish. We had multiple people look after the table, without ever being intrusive. They were chatty, without being overbearing, and their recommendations were much appreciated. The food was great, simple but effective fare. Went for short rib at the waiters reco, and got a steak as, Why not?! Great experience, will return”

“We really enjoyed our stay here. We appreciate the directions to nearby over-size parking! It was so helpful! Our room was quaint and kitchy and we loved the cozy fireplace in the main room. It had every convenience with dining table, fridge, micro. Nice big bathroom! Super cute balcony with additional seating. Service was great! We had to call 3 times with questions, all of which were met with every courtesy! Bryson checked us in and was very professional! We loved it! And we will stay here again! Happy customers! Nothing bad to write about! A+++++Noteworthy details: Over-size parking a plus!”
“We needed a getaway so we got one with Getaway House Big Bear. We came in August when there was a hurricane rolling through. We carefully drove up the mountain and loaded all our stuff in the cabin. It was nice, cute, quaint. We were so glad there was a heater/AC unit there to keep us warm during this storm. There were no leaks or anything!The place is quite small for 2 people and a medium dog but we made it work. Can't really complain much since they had a comfortable, decent-sized bed (full size I think), mini fridge, stovetop, sink, and a separate bathroom area.First night, all we did was drink in the cabin since it was a hurricane. We made sure to take this new hangover pill to make sure we were alright to hike the next day.It's always great being surrounded by nature. You have two options to choose from...either the forest or mountain view. We opted to pay up for the mountain view--but this is where my slight complaint is. We had a cabin that was like half mountain/half forest. There were other cabins there where the window next to the bed literally looked outward away from the mountain and had great views.We also didn't have hot water the first night we were there so we couldn't shower. They did come quickly the next day to help us out with this and got it fixed quickly.There are many trails nearby so we went on a long hike. Overall, I'd def come back.”

“My family and I spent the holiday here. We had a great time. The room was nice and clean and very spacious. The lady in front office was really nice and professional. Also the maintenance guy was really helpful with firewood and helped get it going. I will be definitely come back here next time we come up to the mountains.”

“It is one of the most comfortable why it is places I ever stayed at it's will located there's plenty of places to go shop for food and closing mostly anything you need the price is reasonable but most of all it's really relaxingRooms: Rooms are big spacious well kept up and very cleanSafety: One the safest place I ever stayed at very relaxing and comfortable nothing to worry about I'm very pleased with itWalkability: Walking ability is very great restaurants are down the street supermarkets around the corner if you enjoy walking in the evening time that's it's worth it if you're going to drive it's only a 5 minute drive from everything well located there's even clothing stores within minutes away it's like everything all in one food supermarket Clothing stores.Food & drinks: As for food and drinks you got a variety of locations in and out Burgers Panda Express AMPM gas station Shell gas station a variety of Mexican restaurants nearby can't go wrong when you got that many different places to choose from”

“My family and I have stayed here quite a bit. We never have any issues and the staff is always polite. The rooms are always nice and clean. The beds are comfy the linens are clean as well. If you're not a member you should sign up for it you get reward points for qualifying stays which can turn into free nights eventually the more you stay at any participanting Wyndham hotels. I recommend this Days Inn to people I know. Kim and Erica are my favorite staff members they are the best!”
“Shower curtain wasn't able to close properly so the floor got soaked,maids took our towels but never gave us new ones and then when we went to the front desk and asked for towels they said they were out, roaches, the owner discriminated against certain people that were put out of a building on 4th St making people move out with kids not caring if they had a place to go, the owner is a real jerk and makes his on site management look like the bad guy.”
“The best hotel in this area for sure, but still not all that. They have a pest problem and their sheets and towels are all stained. Wi-Fi does not work inside the rooms and some rooms the TV doesn't work. Not all of the lights were working and the water didn't get hot enough. Staff steals so if you can always have someone in the room, do that. They will harass you about cleaning but they don't clean themselves. The owner is great though, I would imagine his staff lies to him a lot because the way he carries himself I don't think he has an evil bone in his body. He's kind and honest. I'm sure he trusts his staff to be cleaning and doing repairs properly and probably doesn't know how poorly they actually do their jobs. I would stay there again if I'm in the area, I would just bring my own cleaning supplies and linens and my camera so I can catch them the next time they try to steal from me.”

“Had a wonderful stay this last weekend. The bed was SUPER comfy, a huge plus given that we were out there to do some snowboarding. The amenities are pleasant, Saturday's breakfast was delicious and the views are the best on the mountain. We highly recommend this place!”
