“Overall a nice hotel, but definitely some quirks. On the plus side, well maintained overall, given the age of the property. The staff was also very accommodating and friendly. Minus side, elevators were a little sketchy at times, functional things didn't always work well (like the faucets putting out too hot water but not all the time), and the fitness room is designated as 24 hours a day, but half of the room (the weight room area) is off limits from 9:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. (which says to me it's not 24 hours a day).Nearby activities: Just a short walk or shuttle bus ride to Universal Studios, which made the accommodations worth it.Walkability: You can walk to the Universal Studios, but it is a bit of a hike. I would not recommend it with little kids (unless you use strollers) or people that would have difficulty walking more than a mile or up a long flight of stairs.”

“I was very disappointed. It was our first time staying here in the past when going to universal studios Hollywood we stayed at Hilton. But because of my awards we decided to stay here. Firstly the lights in room were awful. Every light we could find was dim mood lighting. The couch bed my sons sleep on was hard as a rock. Had to call for sheets even though they knew we were sleeping on it.Got stuck in elevator with my autistic daughter use the help button sound the alarm no one ever came. Finally I called my husband and he had to go track someone down to help get us off the elevator. We ate breakfast one day at the hotel. It was OK not worth 100 bucks. But at least we were waiting for the shuttle to pick us up from Universal City. one of the drivers. asked us which hotel we were going to told us we couldn’t get in because it was the Hilton turn in our previous rides. They were stopping at both places so that was a little weird. Then he said we had to wait for the next bus we said, OK we had my husband myself our son our two autistic kids, and then he said just get on I’ll drop you off at the Hilton and then he told us that we had to walk and go take an elevator to get to the Sheraton. Very rude.”

“By far the best hotel we stayed in during our 3 week trip to Canada and the USA. Staff were always cheerful, happy to help with everything and seemed to actually enjoy working there. Apparently they have a new GM, and from what we could see he’s doing a great job. They have a car you can use for short trips, great for dinner reservations. Short stroll into Beverly Hills, very nice safe feel to the area. Rooms were large and very quiet. Have stayed at supposedly more prestigious hotels in the area but this is the only place we will keep coming back to.”

“Super cute Brazilian themed hotel. Small but the rooms are spacious. Very friendly staff. The Brazilian restaurant next door has delicious food! Will definitely stay here again.”

“So there’s two sides to the hotel. The side with the balconies with gorgeous views of the Century City skyline, and there’s the other side which may not have as nice of views but larger/efficient floor plans. I’ve stayed here when in Beverly Hills for 5 years and every time is a great experience. Ive accidentally left my dress here and flew out of town and that made sure to hold it for me for as long as I needed. I appreciate that very much. Very convenient location Rodeo Drive shopping right there, and my favorite restaurant Cut is also downstairs which they remodeled btw. The only other hotel I love as much as this one is the Waldorf Astoria. Well, actually I think the Beverly Wilshire might be number one lol.”

“You have an exceptional property as well as staff. Walking through the beautifully landscaped grounds was a visual delight! -- I happened to locate you via the internet, as I was searching for a hotel near a doctors’ office where I had an appointment. We lucked out! -- All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Logan gave us a warm welcome and great introduction to the features of our suite, plus interesting history of the hotel. He always greeted us warmly when our paths crossed on the grounds of the hotel. Angel served us dinner in the restaurant (which was excellent as was our breakfast and room service) was warm and welcoming and provided exceptional service.Safety: Located in a quiet residential dead-end streetFood & drinks: The food was exceptionally deliciousNoteworthy details: The property is stunningly beautiful with tropical plants and walking paths. The photographs of musicians and some celebrities which adorn the walls of the public areas are interesting and very fun!”

“Only complaint is that it gets really musty and it feels like they don't have circulatjon/hvac. It's a cool place to play music and listen to music though. Always sounds ”

“I'm so glad I decided to splurge a bit and stay here for our quick 2-night trip! The whole place has so much character. The front desk staff were lovely and even gave us a free room upgrade AND some chocolate covered strawberries with a bottle of Prosecco for me and my partner! The pool area was beautiful at night with all the lights in the trees. We didn't get a chance to try one of the restaurants, but they seemed popular! The location also can't be beat. You're right in the heart of it! There are so many spots you can easily walk to and there's a lot to see and do. Check out The Coffee Bean!I would love to stay here again. It's worth every penny!”

“I used to be a regular at Shutters but then had a number of service mishaps that drove me to other properties in the area, most often the Fairmont. But I decided to give it another try. It's a famous property in Santa Monica on the beach, an amazing location, and a great place from which to enjoy the culture and sites of the area.I stayed in a lovely suite with a balcony and, although their material claimed it had a beach view, that was an exaggeration. It was actually a view of the parking lot and you could barely see the beach.Unfortunately, I once again had some service issues with the specifics of what was supposed to happen for a special event, which I had outlined in two-way electronic correspondence which they had confirmed. The manager apologized and was very diligent in trying to remedy the situation, so I will give them credit for that, though the communication error among their staff that caused this service mishap was a hotel management 101 mistake and not what I would expect from a true luxury brand. From the standpoint of a recommendation, I still recommend the property for its on site services and location. I do feel that they are committed to high quality service, but somehow I've been unlucky and am personally not motivated to try again. I've had no such issues in my last visits to the Fairmont Santa Monica, which I would recommend more highly.”

“The Ritz Carlton in Los Angeles, where I stayed in late April, offered a luxurious urban retreat. Located in the vibrant heart of the city, the hotel provides easy access to LA's renowned attractions steps away from Crypto Arena formerly known as the Staple Center. The rooms offered panoramic views of the cityscape, and the rooftop pool was a serene escape from the urban bustle. The hotel's dining options were a highlight, featuring innovative cuisine and elegant settings.”

“I have to come here for an extracurricular activity held at the hotel, and i’m unsure if the staff are all directed to treat any non-hotel guests like scum of the earth diseased garbage, or if that’s just how they treat everyone, but i have never encountered more horrific service in my life. All the workers are EXTREMELY rude, they will look you in the eye as you wait for their help and they intentionally answer a phone or do another task instead just to spite you. There is never any of the needed staff and when you inquire with other staff, they act like they want to murder you for daring to request any service in a…get this…PLACE OF SERVICE. for those who want their travel experience to feel like staying at someone’s house who hates you and wants to make you as uncomfortable as possible, this is for you! i’ve traveled all ways from motel 6 to the 4 seasons. I have never encountered a worse staff than at this hotel. A bunch of miserable people who spew horrible energy, anger, and rudeness everywhere. It’s truly disgusting how this hotels employees treat anyone who walk into the lobby. everyone should be ashamed of their self. quit your job and give it to the good people who actually want to work and don’t want to be as hateful and horrible to nice decent people as they possibly can.”

“A fantastically beautiful hotel just a few minutes' drive from the Universal Studios. A free shuttle takes you there. The hotel exudes the splendor of the 70s and 80s, at the time of the Hollywood stars. Stylishly classically but also modernly furnished, it enchants with its luxurious style. You feel comfortable throughout. This starts at check-in, where the staff is always friendly, helpful and courteous. Here the guest is treated with respect and you immediately notice that you should feel comfortable. The rooms are purpose-built and comfortably furnished. Impressive. Thank you”

“Top notch experience from check-in to check-out. Every single person we encountered greeted us with a smile and made us feel great. We took advantage of the pool, spa, hot tub, and in-room dining and enjoyed all of it. Definitely a splurge but we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.Everyone was super friendly and helpful, but a few individuals made us feel extra-special ... Stephanie, Taylor, & Mohamed from the concierge staff and Jennifer at the front desk. Alex, Vanessa, Elena, & Sherry at the Spa. Nick, a house car driver, gave us a fun ride to a local restaurant. Harmony from JG Rooftop really took fantastic care of us at dinner one evening. Thank you all!”

“This place is in the best spot in Hollywood and is always filled with celebrities and parties. As an independent contractor, I got to work here once a week and I enjoyed my times hanging out, soaking up the atmosphere. I've collected a few photos I took of my time there. Every meal I've had here has been the best meal I've ever eaten. If you want to impress your girl for lunch some random day, take her here.Noteworthy details: Many celebrities stay at this hotel and I would often see them when I would be here once a week for work.”

“The Hoxton is the epitome of predatory capitalism. I booked a nonrefundable room but got too sick to be able to fly and had to cancel my trip. It's one thing to not give me a refund but they wouldn't even give me a credit for a future stay. They should accommodate when people have to cancel due to unexpected circumstances like extreme illness. I am doing them and the customers a service by not going there and spreading my sickness, but instead I was penalized and lost $500. I talked to their customer service, it was a joke. They were not helpful and just kept repeating that it's nonrefundable - yes I know it's nonrefundable but as a hotel you should accommodate people for these unexpected, severe circumstances. Will never book at this hotel because they steal your money and have no customer service for when things go wrong. Absolutely disgusting.”

“If I could give there beds and pillows a higher rating I would. I don't normally sleep well when going abroad however they did warn us on the signs In the room there maybe noise, I didn't hear a thing got such a good night sleep. Unlike most hotels this has its own fridge great for my dad which was a diabetic. There were 3 rooms we booked as 6 in total were booked it would of been nice if we had a room over looking the beautiful city instead of a car park. We weren't in the room that much but would of been nice. There was an issue with parking however that had been resolved as their system went down. Overall very clean hotel and has free glasses of wine tasting in the afternoon. Please check for times as may have changed. They also offer free coffee in the morning and snacks that are near the reception which is a nice touch.Overall would stay here again as West Hollywood has alot to offer nearby and if you are taking a car has its own valet parking at a charge. For those coming from the UK please bare in mind resort fees and parking fees. Resort was $30 dollars plus tax and valet parking was $60 plus tax. This wasn't included in my package holiday and is an extra. Just for those on a budget may come as a nasty surprise.Rooms: Good beds”

“Hotel location, service, cleanliness and overall service was excellent - no complaints. Just a few things - you will pay a resort fee of 28 dollars, but they give you a meal credit of 30 dollars per day ( I personally think both should not be there , and the resort fee should only be for folks who want it as only one is given per room). The restaurants in the hotel are outstanding - we used the cafe and the Preston's - great breakfast. Honestly , have breakfast in the hotel, rather than go somewhere else and paying more. The hotel breakfast as freshly made omelets, waffles, smoked salmon, lots of pastries as well as the regular breakfast items on the buffet - and they tasted great!”

“We had a fantastic time and enjoyed our stay at Montrose. Great room with King bed and view looking out to LA city. All our needs were accommodated to by the manager Austin who was a real standout. We love the location as you get a real feel and sense of the West Hollywood residential neighbourhood. It’s close walking distance to Marylyn Monroe’s Apartment and Frank Lloyd Wright House and Studio. Val-let was great. Would definitely be staying there again. Your Welcome ?”

“We enjoyed our stay at The London Hotel. The valet team, bellman, and front desk were all very attentive. The Hotel was very clean and we enjoyed our stay here. My wife likes to stay where we have a restaurant available, especially after a long day out site-seeing. We took advantage of it three times during our stay. Our room was a good size and very comfortable for our family. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel that is pretty close to all of the places that we wanted to visit during our stay. We will definitely return on our next visit to Los Angeles.Nearby activities: Located right in the middle of plenty of things to do and see.”

“Just stayed at this property overnight for the Adam Lambert + Queen concert and we were wowed by the extraordinary service of the team. Ramon, Deryck and Alex made us feel like a red carpet was rolled out for us. Shuttle service was above and beyond which I hope Alex did not get in trouble for taking us and the other guests in the shuttle a little extra mile. There is no doubt he wants to give the best experience for the guests and we extremely appreciate it. Thanks to Sabrina, that warm, friendly and pretty face for the swift check in and Alfonso for taking us to our room and showing us the view, proudly explaining the property's location and the nearby places to check out, asking if we need anything and offered us a bucket of ice which was really kind. Kayla at Noe's was super amazing! She made sure that orders were right, drinks were our liking and taking the time to check on us from time to time. Location is great but what stood out is the wonderful team you have who are proud to help the guests. It may be a quick stay but a great one! Thank you team Omni L.A! You rock!”

“My mom and I needed to be in Santa Monica for a week and this motel was one of the recommended stays. I generally veer away from motel's, and we were not let down. This place is small, charming and cute. What you see is what it is. There aren't many rooms, which is perfect. Check-in was a breeze and we were kindly greeted by the property pup. I started petting him, and he didn't want me to stop. They over many amenities even for the beach. Their rooms have actual locks and keys. Having room 7, we would get sunshine through the shutters for a few hours and it was glorious. One thing I loved about this place, no carpet! Our room had 2 double beds. I thought it was comfy, my mom didn't. Being that this was our home away from home for the week, we had things to place in the fridge and it was of good size to hold everything. We didn't know until later, but we could have asked for certain appliances, like a microwave, coffee maker, etc. The bathroom is of good size. The shower is...a shower. Water pressure was lacking, but it was hot. I'll take hot any day. We had a full circular table with 3 chairs. Honestly, I loved it. We weren't cramped at all. It was quiet at night as they closed the gate. The only night we heard revelers was a Saturday as there is a tavern or pub across the way. And it wasn't loud per say, just busy noise. Definitely grateful for closing of the gates at night, though. This place is in a prime location and walkable to many places to eat, CVS, local liquor store, and the beach. Once you park, you really don't have to leave. Which parking is free. Another plus of this place. After staying here a week and experiencing Santa Monica, I'm not sure how this place is not booked every night. Sure, it's slow season and I'm sure summer it's on and popping! I will for sure be back!”
