I want to take a moment to share how impressed and grateful I am for Toyota of Pasadena. Mechanical issues happen—it’s part of life and part of owning a car. What truly matters is how those issues are handled, and this dealership sets the bar exceptionally high.

Eddie Arteaga and John Velarde consistently go above and beyond to problem-solve, communicate clearly, and treat customers with respect and genuine care. They don’t just process a service request—they actively work to find solutions and make sure you feel supported every step of the way.

Because of their professionalism, integrity, and kindness, a stressful service issue turned into a reassuring experience. Toyota of Pasadena is fortunate to have people like Eddie and John, and customers are even more fortunate to be helped by them. Highly recommend.

Recently several employees at Toyota of Pasadena thoroughly impressed me and I need to commend them. These outstanding individuals included a very understanding and sincere Service Consultant named John Velarde, and Eddie Arteaga, Service Director extraordinaire. Eddie and his team went above and beyond to help me through a very tough predicament with my newly purchased used vehicle.

Ultimately I was presented several options and together we ultimately devised a winning strategy for all concerned. Eddie's diligence, kindness, and truly solution-oriented approach left a lasting impression on me. What stood out most was that they all treated me like a human being first -- with goodwill, respect, and genuine care -- and the car came second. This impressive group of people make a huge corporation like Toyota feel like a family business, a rarity these days.

In addition to the above-mentioned heroes, I ran into several other noteworthy Toyota crew members; my sales team Medhi Benchama and Miguel. We were also joined by Carlos Villanueva, Finance Manager. I've written glowing comments about these men before when I bought the car but to my surprise, they all remembered me, showed interest in my visit to the dealership and cared about the outcome. Who remembers people long after the sale is complete, who? These folks do. As far as I'm concerned, they're my Toyota family for life.

Problems happen in life; that's unavoidable. But it's how people respond that reveals true character and the staff here showed nothing but integrity, compassion, and professionalism. Because of the way they handled my situation, I wouldn't take my vehicle to any other service facility. Whether you're buying new or used, or simply needing service, this is absolutely the place to go.

“We are traveling along the freeway and the springs on our 5th wheel snapped. We were able to limp off the freeway where we were safe. I called Bobby who is the owner of S&H Garage. He was by my side within 30 minutes. He and his guys dropped the axle right there, got the 5th wheel to his shop, got replacement parts there by mid morning the next day and got us all fixed and back on the road before closing. Truly amazing and unheard of for such a major repair. He also offered us a place to dry camp overnight, even supplying us with water and bathrooms if we needed. A truly great man, professional, and extremely trustworthy. He was fantastic at explaining what happened, how he’s fixing it, what we need to make the system even stronger and maintenance tips for the future. We had a serious roadside emergency and we were extremely lucky it happened in Bobby’s area. Whether you have an emergency like we did or just need service in general, I could not recommend Bobby and S&H Garage any more. I’d give 100 stars if I could.”

“Deserve 0 stars I put 4 to get in the front of the line to warn consumers. Place is a full con business and they know how to talk you in and out and all round don't be fooled by charm. Took Prius in for misfire while the engine would make that horrible rumble clunking sound that it's notorious for and it could be the result of several possibilities but Joe just checked the spark plugs and coils and charged me 900+. I took the car home the next day the same problem and when I brought it back he said I never told him there was a horrible noise and continues on to say oh I know that noise it's might be the fuel injection...story tell for real. He told he was going to do diagnostic with computer that will check the, afterwards he tells the computer only test the head nothing else and the only way he knows what the problem is is if he hears the sound, what a joke. Then he tries to school me by seriously talking to me about the engine turning on in a hybrid system he tells me that's normal no s*** it's normal what's not normal is what my car is doing when I brought it into you and after I left. He's a hypocrite when I said I can't talk to you anymore we'll settle this in court he finally lost his cool and snapped and told me have a nice f***g day. What bottom feeding loser, he is very successful in terms of money but he is a bad person rotten human being good business man and he actually admitted that it wasn't the first time someone took him to court and it wouldn't be the last time so there you go and even said he personally loves going to court stay away from this place far far away it's just like any other mechanic I thought it was different if anybody knows of a good mechanic I still need my car fixed”

“I brought Ka24de cylinder head with broken bolt and snapped extractor stuck in it. The guys did a perfect job - drilled it out, restored threads and installed a new stud. Everything was done with real attention to detail, on time and at a fair price. This shows why many racing teams trust this business, because you can really tell they know what they’re doing. Highly recommend for anybody looking for quality machine work and honest service!”

“My only regret is not finding out about HKS and Tiko sooner, as I would have saved thousands of dollars in the long run on repairs. After moving to the Valley, I ended up servicing my 2010 Volvo XC60 at several Volvo Valley dealers and Volvo independent shops (which were sadly just as expensive as the dealers). My older vehicle needed constant repairs and I started shopping around to try to save money. I found HKS on a whim, and Tiko ended up replacing a broken seat belt clasp for a fraction of what others had quoted. The next time I brought my car in to diagnose a noise I was hearing, Tiko went out on a test drive and although we couldn't hear it at that time, he did not rush me or discount that I was imaging things. Eventually, he did the repair on that noise by swapping the axle (a big repair job), also for a fraction of the price - the work done was excellent on both counts and the noise was fixed. I can't say enough good things about Tiko and his team. He is honest, fair, highly knowledgeable in Volvos, cares about his customers and for what it counts, he's a good person and that goes a long way in terms of doing business with someone. “The best and most honest auto repair shop in the valley. Peter is a great guy. I brought in my wife’s car and he helped me out for free. Fixed the small issue and didn’t bother to charge me. I brought my Toyota van in for a bunch of problems (arm control, brakes, rotors, and calibers). He told me to buy the parts and fixed a bunch of issues for $350. The dealer wanted $2857 for parts and labor. I could not recommend a better auto shop than this one. Peter is the best. ❤️❤️❤️❤️??”
