“Absolutely one of the best mechanic experiences I’ve ever had.
I have a diesel and not many work in my vehicle or know how. I had an emergency situation and they were great at getting me in, getting the parts and completing the job. The shop was clean. The mechanics were extremely knowledgeable, and they made me aware of a bigger issue before it becomes a major problem and showed me and explained hat it was that is going in. They also asked me if I wanted the old part- which is indicative of an honest genuine mechanic. I highly recommend them and will recommend them to anyone who needs a great honest mechanic. In fact I already have. I’d also like to mention Liz who is a the desk- she is so friendly, and personable and made the experience even better.

“I called several car tire companies in Thousand Oaks looking for a legitimate Black Friday sale for four Continental tires size 18. The best deal came from California Tires (now Star Automotive). After forty years of living in Thousand Oaks, they have never let me down when quoting me a price over the phone. In fact, over the years, if I had a flat tire or any issues with a tire, the owner always had one of his workers repair it without a charge. The waiting room was very inviting, clean, and comfortable. WiFi was available along with a coffee machine with Keurig coffee pods and water. The work was completed in a timely manner and very well done. I am appreciative of the thoroughness and professionalism of California Tires.”

“I'd bought tires at Costco and needed an alignment so I found PAC in Costco's list of affiliated auto repair shops and checked out their online reviews which. looked real good so I had the work done there (though they send alignments out). At that time I met Mark, the owner, who was very knowledgeable and seemed honest. Prior to taking a cross country trip to Michigan I had an oil change and inspection done there on my Grand Cherokee Jeep, and I looked at the recommendations they'd made on the inspection sheet. Mark went through it with me and explained the different items and if I needed them at this time. He explained the Throttle Body and Carbon Clean which he said should help increase gas mileage; so I had it done. In the past on a trip like this one, the most we'd gotten was approx 26 MPG, and on this trip I was surprised to see over 29 MPG on certain stretches of this drive, which could be the reason, but I'd never seen this before. I have to believe it was as Mark said and give credit where it's due. I trust Mark and the work they do but of course would always keep my eyes open. I just picked up my wife's Mountaineer (117,000 miles) where we had the wheel bearings replaced. I refer my family and friends to Preferred Auto Centre, hands down. One other important point is that they register all repairs with Car Fax which also indicates their responsibility for the work they do along with their transparency.”
