“The owner, Z, is incredibly nice and very knowledgeable. I’ve used their Live Scan fingerprinting service, and the whole process was smooth and convenient.
One of the best things about this location is that you can drop off USPS, UPS, and FedEx packages all in one place. It saves so much time not having to go to multiple locations. While I haven’t personally used their other services, I believe they also offer document printing and passport photos.
Overall, excellent customer service. Highly recommend!”
“I went in to this post office today needing help sending a package to a loved one overseas. Demetria did a wonderful job explaing the proccess of how long it would take to get there as well as how to track it. She made the experience really easy for me and I hope to have her help me again. “Tho post office is amazing! I was sent a general delivery package and ,because I had no time in between my work, I completely forgot to even fill up the application! The staff were nice enough to hold onto my package and work with me on the phone. There was a really kind lady over the phone who walked me through everything. Unfortunately, I forgot her name. Carrie greeted me upon picking my letter up and was very courteous. Amazing staff here!”
“Our Asian mailman for Forest Hill is a super dude. He'a been doing this route for my parents for what seems like since dinosaurs roam.
They are getting up there, and can't always get downstairs to pick up the mail from the garage slot.
Just found out that this mailman, he climbs our stairs and rings the doorbell and hands them the packages saving them that trip.
Just a shout out. An old fashion style mailman. He's a keeper.
Will definitely keep him on our Christmas list.”
“The Trading Post at Marin Country Mart is an absolute gem! It's not just a post office and souvenir shop—it's a whole experience. Every visit feels like a little treasure hunt, with new and unique finds each time. Drew, who runs the place, is incredibly kind and helpful and always makes the visit even more special. Whenever I have friends visiting from out of town, I make sure to bring them here. It's a must-see spot in Marin!”
“My passport expired and was lost in my move from HI to SF. And I'm lazy and need my hand held. I made an appointment online for all the things- passport, picture, etc. When I arrived there was a bunch of people waiting in line for shipping packages. Once I got to the front, the super kind lady brought me through the side door to take my picture. She took a few snaps, asked me which one was best? I told her they all look the same. She went over my paperwork, had me make a few changes, additions, photocopied all the things (extra charge) and with the swipe of my debit card for $184.55, I was on my way. My passport arrived two weeks later. . . before my birth certificate. It was the most painless process ever and worth every penny. Here's the breakdown of pricing- USPS Passport Fee- $35 Photo Service- $15 Money Order- $130 Money Order Fee- $2.55 Copy Machine- $2”
“If you enjoy going to the post office you're insane. But this one isn't bad. I've been here several times and each time the employees may not be the kindest, but they're always efficient and helpful. I've seen them handle angry customers with calm and courtesy, and I've seen them be very helpful, e.g. provide information to save customers money on shipping.”

There was no wait during my visit. I also want to add that my priority package arrived a day earlier than expected.Thanks for a great experience!”

“My husband and I lived in San Quentin Village for about two years. It's a wonderful community and the staff at this post office are a big part of what made it a special place to live for us. Cendon and Rashida are incredibly helpful, kind, and a pleasure to interact with. They work hard and care about the job they do and the people they help. More than once they went above and beyond for us. They're both genuinely good people and USPS is lucky to have them. We enjoyed visiting this post office - and we miss these two. Thanks again for everything, Cendon and Rashida!”

“Warning you will need to go through security on the south side (if you come from the north, they’ll make you walk around outside). It’s located in the basement. Another warning is that there is no signal (or Wi-Fi) bc it’s in the basement, so if you need a QR code, take a screenshot of it beforehand.Celipe (I may have gotten the name kind of wrong, but he’s an older gentleman), was very friendly and helpful. There was no wait either! I was in and out in minutes!”

“I went to the Kentfield PO today with a package and printed return label, which printed a bit large. I started at the Ross PO and had a negative experience so visited Kentfield PO since I had previous good interactions.
Again today I had a very positive experience —they were able to fit the label into a sleeve so it was secure. They took the initiative to find a solution! Thank you!”
“Generally a very good post office that takes care of lines quickly (mostly because we gays are always on the go and know what we want) and there is a lot of self-service supplies available as opposed to some city post offices where almost everything is locked up or depleted.
My only complaint is the lack of empathy for older clientele who struggle with computers. My client wanted to renew his PO Box and pay for another 6 months and the lady at the counter just kept repeating "ITS PAID TIL SEPTEMBER! GO TO THE WEBSITE!" Well, that's only 2 months away and the rate is $108/6 mo. Why can't we pay for his extension now? And I said probably three times that he gets frustrated using their website. He has renewed this way dozens of times including a few months ago. She could've made our lives a lot easier by processing a basic renewal.”
“I feel lucky to have a post office that’s close by. It’s never too busy and the staff are pretty nice. Sure there could be one grumpy worker every once in awhile but who doesn’t have a bad day. I go often to mail boxes and most of the time it’s a solid experience. I always feel confident my mail and boxes are delivered on time which isn’t the case at some postal offices.”

“It’s a great-looking post office, clearly meant for sending and receiving packages to and from Italy exclusively. In that spirit, it serves as a kind of Italian embassy — offering goodwill through the occasional spaghetti and meatball handout. It’s strewn with Godfather posters and, of course, accepts cannoli as payment.
When Silvio passed away, they flew the Italian flag at half-staff.”
“Awesome; there was only one person ahead of me in line. I didn't even wait five minutes, and I just handed my mail to the clerk; she was so nice. Not waiting in line for a long period of time was fantastic because I was in a rush to get back home. There was a community wide garage sale in the compound where I live, and I wanted to touch base with some of my neighbors. I purchased some DVDs from the neighbor who lives across from me. I simply like to have the disk just in case some of the movies aren't shown through AT&T ever again.”
“I’ve had great luck at this spot. Excellent customer service etc. I regularly drop off packages here without a hitch. Gary is especially concerned with doing things correctly, an asset to the postal service.”
“For starters some individuals should honestly keep their prissy, bigotry, and zealous “Opinions” to themselves. 1st. Everyone knows Postal workers are dedicated Govt. employees that connect us all to and from people and parcels. 2nd. Awareness of your surroundings? You are downtown at Civic Center (one of the largest transit terminals in the Bay Area), and complaining that you’re 14th in-line @ 4:00pm on a “FRIDAY” with 1 worker present. Screams ignorance, and lacking a key virtue Patience… Post St opens till 6pm + China Town are also
open on Saturdays for convenience. I’m here weekly, random time and day, the office is perfectly fine, the surrounding (Fox plaza owned) building is aged. The staff takes care of all customers in the lobby even being the 20th in line. They’re customer service driven all the while being helpful and friendly.”

“Super helpful staff at this branch, they're happy to guide you through things. Since snail mailing things is a rarity, that is much-needed thing. Pretty large location, has envelopes, stamp machine and everything else you'd need. Closest to SoMa/MIssion Bay and relatively less crowded. You can get done in 20 mins.”
“I've only been once so far, but I think this location will be my new go-to for USPS needs. Yes, it was dimly lit, and yes, there was only one employee, and yes, the employee did seem a bit checked out. But either due to the clientele or the worker competency, it was a much more pleasant experience, without an absurd wait or irritable workers.”

“I was just there mailing some holiday gifts and the AMAZING service I received from Jahmila and Tenzin was over the top! I came in with too big of a box. So big that they couldn't take it and instead of sending me away, they helped me cut the box down to a smaller size in order to make it do-able to send from there! They didn't not need to go that extra mile for me, but they BOTH did and in the holiday rush! My niece will have her presents in time for Christmas thanks to them! It was such stellar service that I had to write this review. I am so impressed with the Larkspur Post Office! Tenzin and Jahmila are gems!!!”
“The Diamond Heights Post Office is fantastic with a chill vibe! It is super clean, organized, and has PO boxes, passport services, and all the usual postal stuff. “I am convinced Tiburon location is the best in whole Bay Area if not the country.
I had superior experience on a day that could have been disaster for any worker. April 15 is the last day to file taxes, line at the door was a mile away right when John opened the doors with the warmest smile.
I was there with two very young kids to get passports done, not one but two. Seeing John navigating guests through was mesmerizing. Early morning, people with piles of papers, million questions and in rush. John remained calm, knowledgeable,friendly, helpful and so professional.
I was in that location for the first time, we drove there for 2 hours in early morning with little kids thinking it’s the only location taking walk-ins for passports. It appeared to be they are not- mistake in the system but John was the nicest about it, still helped us with everything although he was the only person behind the desk.
I was pleasantly surprised he knew majority of guests by the name, greeted them warmly and had everyone in and out of the door in minutes.
His attitude, love for his work and their customers made this experience not only pleasant but unforgettable. He truly made an impact on our family and our whole day. Thank you, John!!!”
