“Amazing, it has machines, weights, basketball, racquetball, karate, and massages. The biggest thing is that it's clean and no one stares you down when you're working out.”

“This is one of the nicest base pools I have been to. The aquatic center is truly fantastic, and speaking as an active duty airman who is reliant on being able to exercise in comfortable pool temperatures, I cannot recommend this swimming center highly enough. I am recovering from a sports injury and visited the pool here while on TDY from June 26. I used it mainly for lap swimming in the evenings. The water temperature was blissfully warm, absolutely perfect. Warm pool water is essential for rehabilitation exercises and helps to encourage people to get in and exercise. This pool is not built for elite Olympic swimming but caters instead to the majority: active duty members getting exercise or rehabilitation or family members with children. Thank you for keeping the pool warm for the majority.”

“I like this place. It’s barely enough equipment, but what they have is in good shape and a large variety. The place is always super clean and their client is chill. The staff is cool, Friendly and super respectful. I’m about to move to Thailand in November and I think they have affiliates over there. I hope so..”

“I had a membership at Orangetheory in Vacaville back in 2019. Eventually everything closed down in 2020 and just never ended up going back. I’m in the military now so I live out of state where I recently re signed up with Orangetheory last month. While on leave for the holidays I came back to my hometown here in Vacaville and worked out frequently at OTF Vacaville again. I appreciate the welcoming feeling and coaches and staff and workouts were great. I’ll stop by for more workouts next time I’m in town. Thank you so much Orangetheory vacaville :)”

“Update review: Since COVID, this place decided to close its doors, very sad because the infrastructure is the best, pool, equipment, name it. I hope they choose to open soon. I can't wait for that. Because certainly, I can't find something like this place here in Vacaville. As a family membership, that's the best option to join. The decision that I made to join this fitness club is that I was able to join with my whole family, something I was looking for a long time, and finally, I got it. Besides, something quite attractive about this place is child care because I can indulge in my routine, and they take care of my child. The classes are a pleasing challenge since they motivate me to push more on my fitness routine. Clean place and adorable location.”

“It's clean, has lots of machines available, and is in general so much calmer than the other gyms in the area I toured or tried out. I love the indoor track for when outside weather is prohibitive or it's too dark after work. Staff are friendly and helpful.”

“I have nothing but spectacular things to say about this gym. I love coming here! The first thing to note is it is different from a regular commercial gym: it is a barbell club, meaning the movements are designed around the barbell, and this is primarily a training place for powerlifters and Olympic weightlifters who compete. It is an old school gym for the serious strength athlete, which also includes strongmen, body builders, and crossfitters. This is a USPA certified training and competition center as well and has held USPA competitions in the past. I believe one of the owners is a USPA director for California, but I could be wrong. Everything you want to train is available here, from combo racks for squats and bench press (ER Equipment), deadlift platforms and jacks, full and half power racks, and a monolift. There are eight total places to squat, nine places to bench, and six places to deadlift. There is a ton of equipment for accessories: reverse hyperextension GHD (glute-hamstring developer) glute drive vertical leg press bi-later and regular 45-degree leg presses hack squat power squat belt squat iso-lateral row iso-lateral pulldown iso-lateral high row iso-lateral shoulder press bi-lateral wide chess press multi-flex seated barbell shoulder press incline press rack free weight chin/dip machine supported T-bar two large cable-crossover machines with pulldown and row stations They also have all the isolation machines like, a prone and seated leg curls, standing and seated calf raises leg extension, hip adductor and abductor, sissy squat machine, French curl (triceps extension), standing and seated preacher curls, pec fly/rear deltoid, etc. There is too much to mention. And let's not forget the specialty bars and equipment: Ivanko competition discs, competition collars (power, squat, and deadlift bars: Rogue and Texas), wagon wheels, SSB bars, transformer bars, large Swiss bar, Kadillac bar, trap hex bars, axle bars, Slater log, cambered bench bars, chains, belts, knee wraps, fat grips, knee wrap roller, bumper plates, iron plates, chalk, tripods for phones, bands, kettlebells, belt buckle assister, etc. Lots of strongman equipment too like a yoke, tires, sledgehammers, sandbags, Atlas stones, a Husafell stone, the aforementioned axle bars and Slater log, etc. I am not a strongman, so I am probably omitting lots of stuff. You are free to use the parking area in back of the gym for this (parking lot is just for members and there is almost no traffic), as well a large field next to the gym in case you need a larger area. Finally, there dumbbells to 180 lb. (most gyms go to just 80 or 100 lb.), and some cardio, like Assault rowers, stair climber, ellipticals, and stationary bikes. Everything you could need is here. I can't list everything pr this review would go on for pages! :-) But the best thing about this place is the people here, both the owners and customers. No egos, friendly, polite, approachable, and dedicated to their sport. There is lots of encouragement and positive energy. I've had many a good conversation with people. One of the owners even comes each morning and does the cleaning himself. They take pride in this facility, and you can trust everyone. No stress. Many of the athletes here have also gone on to win titles in body building and powerlifting in various organizations. There is even a service dog of one of the members who is super kind and loves to be petted, which the owner let you do. The pricing is excellent too, both for monthly memberships and guest passes. Long-time trusted members can get a code which allows to train after hours, well into the early morning if they want. There is a credit card machine or a Venmo code in the front to pay, even when no staff is here. I come here every time I am in the Bay Area and purchase weekly passes. It is a little way from San Francisco, but it is worth the drive to me. They also have amenities like strong wifi, a unisex locker room, a medical scale, a microwave, a large refrigerator, water, paid drinks with pre-workouts and the like, couc”

“Went into see if I liked what's offered @ Planet Fitness. Before joining and what membership fits my needs.
The staff was very informative. I even got to sit in the hydro chair. For a few minutes.
This is an excellent deal. Hour 24/7. Black card has nice perks. But lockeroom, shower bring your own lock and key ? No biggie. Large facility lots of machines.
Definitely worth the membership ?”

“I live closest to this one, so I go to this gym the most. It's pretty decent, though it isn't very big and seems to be crowded almost every time I go.

At first I thought they didn't have tanning, but that's because the layout is a little funky and you have to go down a hallway before you even get to the front desk.

In short, it's good enough since I live so close, but I do prefer some of the other planet fitness gyms elsewhere.”

“After searching high and low for someplace in the area that offers Group Fitness classes (Zumba in particular) I finally found Crunch. My review is primarily based on Zumba class so if you're not interested in that, you may want to skip this one. I hadn't done Zumba in years but I remember how much I enjoyed it and how it helped me to lose weight in the past. For me, it's important to do something I enjoy. That makes it easier to do consistently. From the first evening we came in, the Zumba classes have been a blast. They have several options. Right now there's Tuesday morning, Wednesday evening, Friday evening and Saturday morning. I typically can't make the Tuesday one because I have to work but I made it once and it was fun. Every instructor has their own flair. I typically burn around 600 calories per class. Sometimes the class can get pretty full but there always room to get it done. Highly recommend coming here. Oh and the gym itself is nice too. Lots of equipment. It gets pretty crowded from what I can see. We use PF for our weight lifting and other cardio you. I like it here.”

“I joined the gym through Kaiser hospital, and I am happy to say it’s worth it. I tell my friends that the gym I use has a wide array of exercise equipment, classes and friendly competitions. Their staff is readily available to help you when needed. I love my gym and the members there, are quick to show you how to use the exercise machines without a second thought or making you feel inadequate, the staff is caring and supportive.”

“I knew we loved this gym, but I really took for granted just how awesome they were until we had a bad experience at the Browns Valley location today. This gym is always clean. The people are incredibly friendly and the kid zone workers are top tier. They make my children feel safe and excited to be there which, in turn, makes me feel trustful of them and their program. We especially love Ms. B and Moe!I want to gatekeep them so that it doesn’t get crowded, but I just am grateful for the professional, friendly workers and the intensely good workouts I get here. 10/10 recommend.”

“I love the way staff greets you as you enter. Swimming program for kids is great. I love the staff in swimming pool and the patience with kids. They are miracle creators. It is so amazing to see them teach kids from level 1 where they do not know even how to keep themselves safe in water and take them all the way to level 6.”

“Vacaville fitness is a great convenient gym that offers workouts at any time. The gym is relatively small, however, that has never been an issue for me as they have a variety of machines available. I wanted to give a special shout-out to the manager Michelle! She is one of the kindest human beings I've ever encountered. I highly recommend this gym.”

“I enjoy going here as it is close to where I live. I often use equipment in upstairs where there are less people and quieter than downstairs. I love the indoor pool and jacuzzi too.”

“I came in for a tour a few weeks ago & Jacqueline was our guide, she was very informative & answered all questions/concerns we had. We decided to join that day not only based on how much we liked the facility but the pleasant & friendly interaction we had with Jacqueline. Since then, every time we visit she acknowledges us with a nod or smile even if she is not at the desk when we arrive. She has been very helpful when we've needed assistance. Thank you Jacqueline for paying attention when you are asked for help & doing your best to find answers when they may not be available immediately. Some people answer thinking they know, prior to knowing the full story. It's a pleasure to see you & your smile when we are here. We started our membership with 3 & have since added 2 more members. If you happen to visit & are considering joining this gym, do yourself a favor & ask for Jacqueline. -A.H.”
