“I wanted to give this a higher rating... however, I cannot.There are definitely some pros and cons with staying on a military base.Pro: Safety. Friendliness. COST. Military lifestyle. COST. Ease of booking. COST... you get the idea...Cons: Smells. Distance to activities. No 24-hour access to a hot meal.Loved the fact that I was traveling in a group with my son and the main group stayed in a name-brand hotel. Two nights at that other hotel would have been over $400!!! Two nights here? Well... if you know, you know!The Westwind staff set us up in a TLF. They are located right behind the main building. Unfortunately, because of the time we arrived, it was completely dark. Oh, no outside lights on the building. Made me feel a bit awkward. When we got inside the "apartment" it smelled. Not like a horrendous smell, but a "this hasn't been used in a while smell". Took a bit to get it aired out but was bearable. If you are staying in the TLF with your family... I would suggest you bring some Clorox wipes, a bottle of hand soap, laundry detergent and dryer sheets. The kitchen has the very basics. Dishes/silverware, pots and pans, large refrigerator, ice trays, kitchen table and high chair. There's a very small bottle of liquid dish soap provided plus two dishwasher tabs (but I don't think they're actually dishwasher tabs, as the name on packaging says "Finish", which is just an additive). I brought my own coffeemaker as I'm a bit weird about using someone else's.The 2nd bedroom (not pictured) had two twin beds. Unfortunately, the linens were very lightweight. The bed wasn't uncomfortable, but wasn't the most comfortable either. Overall, it was a very good stay. I would stay again!”

“We found out our downtown hotel was closed for water damage when we tried to check in (no notice from Sonesta Essential). Ended up at Hyatt House and happy we did! Incredibly clean, great service, terrific breakfast buffet, comfortable bar. 4 stars only bc it's not right downtown but it takes 2 mins to jump on 505 and 5 mins to downtown. Should we need to come back to Vacaville we'll definitely stay here.”

“Great location. Lot of places to eat and the mall is across the street along with theatre. Hotel is above average after-all it is Hilton. Rooms were comfortable with minimal wear & tear signs. AC blows cold/Heater works well. Didn't like how the property charges for everything. $10 for continental breakfast. $2 for washer/dryer. There is a bar open in the later afternoon. Drinks are pricey. Tap beers $9 and mix $12. Onsite restaurant with $40 steaks. Didn't part take in the any eating or drinking. Property is well maintained. Conference area is very active.”

“Everything was great..with the exception of no elevator - not good for disabled/seniors people... especially if your room is on the second floor...Food & drinks: Great breakfast spread...full breakfast”

“Stayed one night while on a road trip. Clean room with good shower water pressure. Typical older Holiday Inn Express (currently under renovations). If you are sensitive to noise, avoid the rooms near the exits. I could hear the door open and close well into the night.”

“I was pleasantly surprised by the rooms in this hotel. They seem updated and more importantly very clean compared to other similar hotels. I also found the hotel staff go above and beyond. I was accidentally told that the breakfast ended at 10 and when I showed up it turns out it ends at 9. The manager managed to get some food for me. Usually in hotels cleaners are extremely loud and slam doors but here they were very quiet and considerate of the guests that might be resting. They whisper and place towels so the doors don’t slam. These little things go a long way.”

“Your Manager on duty on November 21, 2023 at 12pm went above and beyond for me she did amazing making me feel welcome. I most definitely will be using this location again because of the care that she shown me. My room was top notch and I was very happy.”

“I stayed at this location for a recent work conference in the same hotel.The hotel and room were good. Certainly not as bad as some reviews suggest. Sure, it could stand for a little TLC and refresh such as new carpeting, etc., but the facility itself was functional, appointed well, and the room was quite acceptable.I found it interesting that the management team felt compelled to post a copy of a type-written note with some service and room details. I believe this was posted due to some of the negative reviews (I have attached a copy of the note to this review).Would I stay at this location again in the future? Absolutely.”

“Great place ! Fast Eddie at checkin was very friendly and efficient. The king suite was spacey, everything worked and the shower had the highest water pressure ever. Brekast was great, other staff friendly and everything was very clean. A great price and location.”

“Frequently stays ESA for my Veterans hospital maintenance and ESA there for my discount,etc. 3 x a year I stays @ESA .And thats monthly.Awesome staff and services.Thank u .Angel. QA/QC Engr & Inspector.( retired).Apartment/ Camp maintenance Manager .Construction Site Manager. ISO certified.Rooms: Organized . Kitchenware complete. Well kept Very quiet. Better sound proof room.Rooms like @ home.Nearby activities: Nearby activities as for like the Starbucks,gym/ fitness, and lots of much needed necessities aroundSafety: Safety is well kept. Staff most of the times roving for watch of surroundings.No by standards, standby's, etcWalkability: AM/PM and other gasoline stations. Macdonald ,Starbucks, pizza pie, fitness / gym, and more at very short distance WalkableFood & drinks: Breakfast I e.coffee,tea, drinking water, vending machine all inside the building very convenientNoteworthy details: Well,as for me, is really noteworthy. As I do not have any complain.I just appreciate everything That's why I kept on coming or staying at ESA whenever I am away from home”

“My husband surprised me with a lil getaway fro the two of us. Loved it. Only thing in the non smoking rooms in the hallways all you smelled was cigarettes. Made me sick. Messed up the mood going to get something to eat. But room was clean nice in order”

“I had a family member taken to the nearby hospital in an emergency & having a kitchenette was a blessing- it made my quick urgent trip bearable. My lovely, clean, quiet, spacious room with comfy bed allowed me to relax. Anything I needed was provided- just ask for it- coffeemaker, coffee, creamer, hairdryer, dish drainer, cutting board, I had all the conveniences of home. I noticed they were clearing trash from the yard in the morning, a sign of having pride in the place. And, as an 80 year old elder, the manager, Angela, made sure I did not fail to remember things (like my keys). I felt like I was staying with family! Everyone was very caring & friendly....Well done team!!”
