“Stepping into the world of grown-ups with my recently-turned-18-year-old meant tackling some real-life stuff, like opening her first bank account. We went with Citibank. A simple phone call and they squeezed us in for an appointment on the same day. We got lucky with Roberto Castillo. He knew just what we needed and gave us the lowdown on banking and credit, explaining it all to my daughter in terms that made sense. And he did it all with a smile and a warm attitude. The real highlight was when my daughter went to deposit her first paycheck. She had a figure in her mind, a nice round number, that she expected to see on that piece of paper. But when she finally broke the seal on that envelope, let's just say, reality hit her. She hadn't factored in taxes, so seeing a smaller number was a bit of a shocker. Life lesson learned! From start to finish, the experience was smooth and easy, and even fun. Roberto made the whole thing less intimidating and more of a learning experience. Citibank made what could have been a boring chore into a memorable event for a big life milestone. All in all, a good day in the world of adulting.”
