“This store is awesome! I have been shopping here for years. How? They are so kind to military, and other organizations such as Kaiser and my Castro Valley School District. I do get a bigger discount in Portland Oregon due to a family member. Why, they get passes to the headquarter store and there are no state sales tax in Oregon!!! Not like California!
Yes, I am a school teacher who backpacks. You cannot beat the quality for the price. Other discount stores will sure help the pocketbook but you get what you pay for! As for some of the complaints about helpfulness. I just tell them I am a 30 year veteran kindergarten teacher and don't do double digit math! As a larger dude, Prana pants are the most comfortable pants I have ever tried on. I have running shirts that are 15 years old and still feel great!. Check around with your friends to get in! Active military can get in at any time. I do agree they should have better signage, yet for what they have, quality, and price, they are well worth checking out.”
“Your sales people really know the products you carry. They know the drop of different running shoes, whether they are for neutral/pronating/supinating feet, and which styles come in different widths. They even volunteer the information the you may be due a reward on your current purchase. I had some unexpected things happen on a custom order I had on Hoka shoes. Every person I dealt with took ownership of the problem to get it resolved. I won't be buying athletic shoes anywhere else.”

“Get IMPALA quad roller skates HERE!
I cannot say enough good things about Orbit Skate and Boutique in San Leandro.
I live in San Jose, where you can find zero stores that sell quad roller skates. We even drove all the way to Santa Cruz trying to track some down; only partially successful. Then we found Orbit… and it was absolutely worth it.
From the moment we walked in, the vibe was welcoming, colorful, and full of heart. Will helped us, and his service was next-level. The kind of radical hospitality and genuine kindness that you don’t come across often anymore. He was patient, knowledgeable, and truly cared that we found the right skates.
They carry Impala Skates, which is exactly what we were looking for, so it felt like we hit the jackpot. And after reading their Customer Values Statement in the store, everything made sense. They don’t just post those values - THEY LIVE THEM!

“This place is such a gem! If you’re someone who cares about your feet but still want to look stylish, look no further! I’ve gone there multiple times to find a pair of decent shoes and have always walked out happy. My favorite staff member is Kaylin, who is extremely thorough, helpful, and kind. She measured my feet and was the first person to point out that I had high arches. It changed the way I think about shoes for the better! I used to deal with lots of foot pain and since she helped me figure out what I need, the pain is gone. I now know which shoes to buy and don’t waste my time on junky ones. They have great brands like Taos, Dansko, Aetrex, Hoka, New Balance, Brooks, plus some international brands I hadn’t heard of but are fantastic! It’s so hard to figure out whether a shoe will actually fit when shopping online. I’m so grateful for stores like Beck’s where they take the time to understand your needs to find you the right pair of shoes. Beck’s quality and excellent customer service make the investment well worth it. Definitely stop by!”

“Very nice people working there. It's family-owned & they do incredible work. I've had them fix a belt for me that I really loved and it was a little mangled around the holes. He managed to put a piece of leather underneath and he fixed it couldn't even tell. I've also had them resole my favorite cowboy boots. Awesome job again! 2 wks ago I brought in a leather crossbody bag I bought for my son in Europe. It was a nice bag but had a canvas strap. So I brought in 2 leather belts & they made a leather strap with those 2 belts. It looks so good! They did an excellent job again!!! ??? This is true craftsmanship.”

“Nordstrom Rack each has a different vibe. Fremont has better layout in the store sales and friendly staff. Palo Alto seems that everything is just thrown in the middle of the room. Not a lot of options shoe size for 6.5 - only 1.5 rack. Only engaged with the check out person who wasn’t rude but certainly didn’t seem thrilled to be there.”
“Me & my husband went to get him a pair of sneakers. The young lady that helped us was there as soon as we crossed the threshold of champs. She was polite, patient, respectful, and empathetic. She brought us his size in about 4 or 5 different style sneakers. My husband settled on a pair of Jordans and 4 white thick T shirts. I paid under $150 plus we weren't in there but a hot minute”

“Love Eileen Fisher clothes and am very happy that the only west coast outlet is close by in San Leandro. I always know what to wear, Eileen makes it easy. Have spent hundreds of dollars over the years but the fabrics are worth it. That she accepts all used clothing back for $5 each garment is another plus. Returned a few and got $60 credit. My friend who lives in So Cal always has me take her to Eileen's after I pick her up at oakland international Airport.”
“I went to return a bunch of purchases and the only problem I had is there carts lock when you try to take them into the parking lot. This made it very difficult for me to get all of my packages into the store. They need to stop with the locking carts”

“Only one experience here: bought my wife's wedding band at the jewelry counter. Getting service was relatively quick, and the woman who helped me was very kind, knowledgeable, and listened to what I was asking for without trying to up-sell me on things I didn't need and would ultimately be unhappy I purchased. Great spot to buy jewelry.”
