Pet Grooming

The PawGround
12508 Magnolia Blvd, Valley VillageI have been using boarding services with The Pawground since 2022. They have always been wonderful and I trust the staff with my previous dog. Recently, I had a family emergency and had to board my dog last minute. They were so lovely and accommodating during a very emotional and stressful time. It gave me such peace of mind to know that he was being taken care of while I traveled. I also love getting photo updates of him playing with all of the friends he makes there.
I also use their grooming services and Courtney has been amazing. He always comes out looking fantastic and she knows exactly how to take care of him during the grooming process to make him feel more comfortable. Definitely check out the Pawground for your boarding and grooming needs.

If you take your dog here guaranteed your dog will love him very patient good prices I'm always happy with the way my dog looks and he's really problematic and he moves around a lot, but they take very good care of him, taking my dog here since he was a baby highly recommended. If I can give him 10 I would give him a 10.

Best Friends Animal Hospital
5425 Laurel Canyon Blvd, Valley VillageIve been going here for years. They've given my brand new kittens their shots, they gave my oldest his final exam. You can trust them. I can afford their care. In the end, that's all that matters to me. Recommended.

Pet Sitting & Training

iPet Care & Holistic
12500 Riverside Dr, Valley VillageI found IPet and Holistic when searching google for a PT clinic for my 14 yr old dog. I had no idea what to expect beyond the many glowing reviews. I learned quickly that Yael is a true healer and that Lyrix and everyone who works there cares deeply for each animal that comes through the door. Maggie had been suffering from arthritis and old doggy wear and tear. She is now acting like a puppy - jumping, running, at ease in her aging body. What more can you ask for as your beloved pet reaches its golden years? I so trust Yael and am so grateful to have found the clinic. And Maggie loves going - which is further proof this place is magical.

NAVAT SHAWARMA Valley Village
12122 Magnolia Blvd, Valley VillageI’ve been seeing this truck for awhile now and decided to stop because I was hungry on my way home ?
friendly customer service and the quality of the shawarma is excellent with perfect portions and freshness. I got the two meat shawarma and it was delicious thank you. I’ll be back to try the all chicken next time

Cosmodrome LA
12122 Magnolia Blvd, Valley VillageVery tasty food and super friendly staff. The shawarma is as close as it gets to the real thing I’ve been looking for for a long time — great flavor, spices, and overall quality. Highly recommend.

The Black Rabbit Cafe
5406 Whitsett Ave, Valley VillageHas a lot of potential. The sandwich ingredients are great, overall concept is better than other places. The taste is mostly there but overpowered by the unnecessarily massive amounts of sauce that squirts out and drips everywhere when you have a bite. Maybe they were going for juicy but it was too much. I used about five napkins cleaning up.
Opinions differ on how much sauce is good but I'd say the vast majority of people would agree. The owner should test his own food and come up with a slightly different ratio of sauce.
I will still go back and try something else but I'll make sure to request slightly less sauce.

Rustic Spoon Restaurant- Valley Village
12500 Magnolia Blvd, Valley VillageThe vibe is awesome, cozy, chill, and full of good energy. The staff are friendly, and the food was amazing!
Only thing — the service was a bit on island time but honestly, it’s hard to complain when everything tastes this good. We’ll definitely be back… hopefully by then they’ve leveled up to “fast & fabulous

Ameci Pizza & Pasta
12450 Burbank Blvd Ste M, Valley VillageSuper easy to call and pick up. Nice employees.
But the parking lot is a little difficult to navigate - it’s very narrow, one way entrance from Burbank blvd and exit on Whitsett.
Calzones are delicious.
Instead of manicotti, this location has shells.
Ordering online with chow now wouldn’t work for me, and the prices are outdated.

The Thirsty Merchant
12430 Riverside Dr #3510, Valley VillageThe ranch is homemade and phenomenal! I could drink it! The wings were pretty good size but a bit over cooked. Super super spicy. It was pretty empty and I enjoyed having the place to myself after a long day of work at around 10:30pm.

Big Love Animal Rescue
5404 Whitsett Ave, Valley VillageI was scrambling trying to find placements for a litter a neighbor posted about on Nextdoor. The neighbor was concerned about their well being and placements. Spent my entire day off calling around texting everyone I know. My friend Gina referred me to Lisa and this rescue. She got back to me sooner than the other rescues I had left messages for. Despite her being busy and out of town she got back to me. Her partner Jennifer went out the next day to scoop them up and care for them! Thank you to both of them and Big love for taking them in. Basically the whole littler was females. It’s not a huge impact but that was a ton of potential girls that could have been used for breeding. Huge relief.
