My dog is a senior, fragile, and not the easiest to groom, and they handle him with incredible gentleness. It’s clear they have real experience with older dogs who need extra attention, and I always feel comfortable knowing he’s in such good hands.
What really meant a lot was when I had to cancel an appointment because my dog was hospitalized—Rita took the time to check in on us. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare and made a stressful situation feel a little less overwhelming.
If you want groomers who genuinely care about your pet and treat them with kindness and respect, I highly recommend Rita and Julie. I’m so grateful we found them.

They also clean their anal glands, but they shave their little paws , And make it very stylish they also brush their teeth and I’m just really impressed!! I have five dogs that I rescued, and they all seem to be very, very happy.

My pup is 13 and has some arthritis and disk issues, and AJ’s goes slow, taking their time and letting him rest during times his body isn’t doing as well. They care for him like we care for him, and that’s hard to come by. I love AJ’s and am so grateful for how they care for my pup — and therefore me! So thankful they’re in our village.

The gals who run the front desk are the best (shout out Ash and Jaz!), they’re so welcoming and truly love the dogs. They usually call out her name right when she walks in the door and she’s so happy to see them too. They also do really cute crafts during the holidays with your dog, which is always something we love to see!
We love the text updates with photos, and also get her groomed here. She doesn’t need a lot of shaping with her hair, but the nail clipping, teeth brushing, and gland expression are such a great service. We love this place!

I have taken my mini-golden doodle to them for years before moving to San Diego and they have always provided top tier care. Scheduling is flexible, wait times are reasonable, staff is friendly, and parking nearby is always available. The staff has also gone above and beyond for us, specifically when I was in a bind to get mandatory vaccines prior to dropping my pup off for boarding that same day - calling them en route driving from SD to LA, they empathized with my situation and were able to fit in an appt around the exact time we were expected to arrive in LA (absolute life savers!!). I still benefit from the email reminders re: my doggo's upcoming vet needs (e.g. immunizations) and take her to them whenever we make an LA visit. Highly recommend!!

Such delicious thoughtful food, plated so beautifully. The service is both attentive with still being stealthy and providing what you need without you even noticing your share plates have been switched in between courses. Say hi to the babes for me! Get the spicy tuna crispy rice and the snapper. Wow honey can’t go wrong with any dish. Lowkey my favorite menu item is the celery salad with the chicken wings.

I don’t mean that in a bad way because everything we had was delicious but it’s mostly fake meats rather than whole foods like tofu and beans, so just make sure you know that before going if that’s a big deal for you. But otherwise, highly recommended and I would definitely go back. UPDATE: as the owner states in the comment below, they do have jackfruit and a bunch of other options as well. I got Avocado Toast with egg on top and it was amazing. They do something to their red onions where they’re maybe pickled or something? I don’t know I’d never tasted something like it but it was so good. And it was served with a whole huge green salad with shaved carrots and little tomatoes. It was really pretty.

My item came out with steaming hot fresh pita bread. That was the best I've ever tasted. Love this place!
