“This is one of the very best branches . I go out of my way to come here . My office is in Brentwood, we live in marina Del Rey and I come to Manhattan beach because of the exceptional service. I came in today and was greeted by not one person , but two beautiful young ladies at the front entrance. Today my teller was Gloria . I asked if Alex was available but he was assisting another customer . I told her he spoiled us with outstanding service the last 2 times we were here . Gloria said she would be more than happy to help us . She was amazing . She was very warm and friendly and very patient with us . She recommended a special program that would offer me a much higher interest rate. I was very impressed. Gloria was simply amazing . The management is doing a great job in providing outstanding service to all of their clients. We got a chance to say hello to Alex who is awesome ! And don't forget , they have the best gourmet coffee and hot chocolate. Thank you Gloria for a great experience today ... and a special thank you to Danny who helped my daughter!”

He goes above beyond to make sure the customer is happy before leaving . I visited when it was close to closing time .. I'm sure he had things to do and was ready to go but if he did I sure couldn't tell. He stayed past the working hours to make sure I had everything I needed . Not once did he seem irritated or ready to go. He's just a overall good dude . You can tell he genuinely cares about his customers . Employees like this should be acknowledged. “I love UCSCU!! My husband has been a member since the early 90s. I joined his accounts when we got married. Our kids joined as they got old enough to need their own accounts. Our youngest got a great rate on a car loan and it was super easy. We always get excellent service and we are treated very well whenever we come in. Several times I have called with a question or an issue and the staff helps me without ever treating me like an inconvenience. I love the way online services have grown over the years. I appreciate being able to zelle my rent payment and receive zelle transfers from my kids for the shared phone plan. Being a non employee, I will always miss visiting the actual Universal branch (employees only now) but Burbank has never let me down and I understand this change came from the company and not the credit union. Thank you UCSCU for being SO MUCH better that all of my previous banking experiences and giving us the resources to teach our children about banking in a safe, welcoming space!!”

“i actually had called before i came in and spoke to, i believe her name was Pricilla, to ensure i was able to deposit a check at a capital one cafe. she assured me i could and that the process was super easy. she also mentioned if it would be my first time, depositing a check, that an ambassador could help me. when i walked in, i was greeted at the door by a very nice gentleman who introduced me to the very kind Novan. “I really like this bank. The customer service is on point. I get good interest loans and they have an array of financial products that I've used and really like. I moved my money here after realizing that Wells Fargo is not for this community. They have people lined up outside the bank every morning in long lines trying to get service. That is so disrespectful and if you need to see a banker you have to make an appointment and wait days and weeks to handle your money situation. That is really unacceptable. I've called and they have NO intention on changing these disrespectful practices. That just told me that they are not taking me or my money seriously. I have not had ANY of these problems at School's First.”

“My husband and I were in Santa Monica and we wanted to work out of a cafe. With a quick yelp search, we found a capital one cafe nearby ! The ambiance was very welcoming and we were able to get a private nook and were able to get some work done. Luckily my husband had a capital one venture X card so we decided to utilize the benefits and got our beverages for 50% off. I got their lavender honey latte and my husband got the mocha. We also got a chocolate croissant. I was super excited about the lavender latte, given it is my favorite flavor. My husband really liked his coffee. Mine was nice too but it was not as hot as I would have liked it to be unfortunately. The croissant was very average and we ended up discarding it because it was cold and eggy. However, given how nice this place is for the ambiance and the coffee, I think I would still recommend checking it out, especially if you are looking to work out of a cafe and need some privacy!”
