“I've had Frontier for a few months now. I purchased their 1Gbit/sec fiber optic plan when it was offered to me at my doorstep. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the service, although there are some things that could be improved.The first thing that I would like to bring up is our Amazon Eero router. It's a WiFi 6 router, which is nice, but it's not exactly top-of-the-line equipment. I would have rather had the option to use my own router and cut the equipment rental out of my bill, but that wasn't an option at its installation.The second thing that I want to draw attention to is the ethernet cabling. It's UTP Cat. 6e, which is typical. It's fine to use for ethernet, as it is an industry standard, but I would have liked the option to install FTP ethernet cabling. My roof is neither thick or made of conductive material, so electromagnetic radiation may pass through fairly easily to cause interference.Again, my overall experience is positive so far. I'm glad that I made the change, even though it's not perfect.”
