Davies Animal Medical Hospital
1630 Sierra Avenue Suite 1, Yuba CityWe had a really positive experience with Davies Animal Medical Hospital when we unexpectedly needed emergency care for our dog, Riley. We arrived at approximately 3:00 and were completely finished and on our way home by about 4:30, which was impressive considering we came in on an emergency basis.
Dr. Rocha Colombo and his assistant were wonderful throughout the entire visit. They were incredibly helpful, courteous, patient, and understanding, and we truly felt that they were dedicated to figuring out what was going on with Riley rather than simply rushing through an emergency appointment.
Riley suddenly developed an issue with her paw, and Dr. Rocha Colombo took the time to investigate the cause and rule out concerns such as a fracture or break. They performed X-rays and in-house testing, and thankfully those concerns were ruled out. Ultimately, it was suspected that she had experienced an allergic reaction to some type of sting or bite, and she was treated accordingly.
I also appreciated that the cost felt very reasonable considering everything that was done. Our total was $882.35, which included the emergency exam, in-house lab work, forelimb X-rays, and medications. After comparing the charges with current pricing for similar emergency veterinary services, the cost was very much in line with--and in some areas better than--what you can expect for this level of emergency diagnostics and treatment.
Most importantly, we never felt rushed or dismissed. Dr. Rocha Colombo and his assistant genuinely seemed invested in finding the source of Riley's problem and making sure she received the care she needed. To be taken in unexpectedly, have everything thoroughly investigated and treated, and be back on our way home within about an hour and a half was greatly appreciated.
Emergency vet visits are never something you want to need, but we're very thankful Davies Animal Medical Hospital was there when we did. Thank you, Dr. Rocha Colombo and your assistant, for your patience, kindness, and dedication to taking such good care of our sweet girl, Riley.

Authentic Salvadorian Pupusas
1265 p Colusa Avenue, Yuba CityWatched Triple D on Food Network and they highlighted Salvadorian pupusas, was intrigued by them so I googled where in Yuba City could I get some and this restaurant came up. Reviews seemed good so my spouse and I tried them out yesterday for lunch. As noted in other reviews, the food court at the mall is not where most would go for great food! ?. But much to our delight it was good. I had the mixed pork pupusa and my spouse had a jalapeño cheese and a mixed pork. They were very hot and actually liked it more when it had cooled after I got home, could taste the flavors more. I had a bite of the jalapeño one and it was delicious just a bit too hot for me. Will definitely good back to try other flavors.

I have eaten A LOT of food in my life and this easily cracked my top 10. The noodles were cooked perfectly, the sauce was absolutely incredible, and the birria itself was packed with so much flavor, every bite was better than the last.
My husband got the birria quesadillas and they did not disappoint either. Juicy, generous portions, and just as satisfying. We were both blown away.
On top of all that, the food was reasonably priced and came out fast. Honestly, what more could you ask for? Valencia’s is the real deal, do yourself a favor and go.

A lady complained how strict this rescue’s placement was, and how the rescue wanted to see the inside of her home and where the dog would be living.. I love this review because this rescue is making sure these animals are safe. I found a dog that needs a great home and is an expensive breed and I will be trying to see if this rescue could help me. And by reading this review it has brought me great positive joy that I might find this dog a great home. Never thought reading a negative review would make me so happy.
