“I travel an obscene amount, and this is one of the nicest gas stations I've ever seen, considering it's a little in the middle of nowhere. Unassuming, very clean, with a huge selection of snacks, and friendly staff (Max is wonderful!). Recommend stopping here if visiting Bishop Castle or need gas while in the area.”

“HUGE SHOUTOUT to the kind gentleman working at the Circle K in Colorado City on Friday 3/6 just after 5pm.

I was driving home to Denver in the snow when my driver-side windshield wiper suddenly flew off my car. I pulled into the Circle K hoping someone might know where I could get help since it was after 5pm and most places in a smaller town are closing by then.

The gentleman behind the counter immediately tried to help. He checked the store inventory first to see if they had anything that could work. When that didn’t pan out, he actually came outside into the snow with me and tried to help come up with a creative fix.

When we couldn’t get that to work either, he cleaned my windshield as best he could and pointed me to the Ace Hardware across the highway just before they closed so I could grab a replacement. I never would have thought to check Ace for a windshield wiper, and his suggestion ended up saving the day!

I’m so sorry I didn’t catch his name, but I really wanted to say THANK YOU!!!! He absolutely went out of his way to help a stranger on a snowy evening, and that kind of kindness deserves to be recognized 🙏🏻”
