About Catamount Institute
Catamount is a wonderful local nonprofits that bring outdoor education to kids and the community. The school programs are an epic hit and the summer camps are fun. Getting outside, getting dirty, making friends and memories is an added bonus because they are learning too. The land has a small creek, trails that go up hills, benches for lunch and views of part of the city that feel like Griffith Park. Volunteers describe the work as a privilege and delight, and the staff are professional, well‑educated and passionate. It is a great place to donate time and keep the quality educational programs.

The services these people provide to local students is amazing. We have been to camps and field trips with them and I am always impressed with their kindness and patience, but also their understanding of ecology and nature.

Catamount is one of my favorite local nonprofits and a wonderful place for kids to learn about the natural world.
