“So impressed with wild blue cats. They truly care about the precious ones they foster. Adopted our wonderful fur baby girl two years ago. Even after adoption they checked in on us. Can’t imagine our life without her and we’re so blessed that WB saved our little baby. ?”
“I just moved to the area and was welcomed in right away and I felt so loved and they made sure I got some good food for a couple of days! Charity's Hope is wonderful! Thank you so much for making me feel welcome to the community. <3

“The store has a surprising variety of material and hardware. I did not find what I was looking for but enjoyed speaking with the very personable and informed staff.”
“My favorite place to rub elbows with movers and shakers within the Community. We also serve at the food pantry. I love the Chinook Center for what it stands for and the work they do there.”
“Amazing selection of furniture, lighting, cabinets, and a variety of construction materials. Some items are new, others used. A treasure hunt for unique materials.”
“I used to train soccer teams here several times a week and the fields were very very bad. Large dirt holes, uneven, just a miserable experience to try and play soccer on.
However, I wanted to leave a five star review for the El Pomar staff for doing what they have done to this facility over the past couple years. The fields are great now, the grass is green and level, and they’ve transformed El Pomar into a community park everyone can be proud of. Very well done everyone.”
“Great place to volunteer and give to your community! We have a potluck on the second Sunday of the month after Service which is at 11am. On MWF from 9-3, CLOSED from 12-1 we offer a food pantry and free items and clothes donated by the community in the waiting area. The Fort Carson Kid's Closet and Operation Deploy Your Dress are also located in the building, and conference room and fellowship hall reservations are available too.”

“Second dog that I have had to go through their spay neuter clinic, and they have the process down to a science. I was a little bit worried because my dogs are so big and my female has a autoimmune disorder, but they took great care of her.”
“I can’t say enough good things about Blue Skies Daycare! When my son first started, he really struggled with using the potty. He was nervous and hesitant, and I was worried it might take a long time for him to fully transition. The staff at Blue Skies were incredibly patient, supportive, and encouraging. They worked with him consistently, creating a positive routine and celebrating every little success.
Thanks to their dedication and gentle guidance, he is now fully potty trained! It was amazing to see his confidence grow week by week. I’m so grateful for the care and attention they give to each child. If you’re looking for a daycare that really partners with you in your child’s growth, I highly recommend Blue Skies Daycare!”
“... this boutique is fantastic! Two great women with such good ideas on how to give back to their community! Y'all should definitely stop in, buy some goodies and meet these two!!”
“If you read a lot of reviews on people's page...mostly from food pantries crying for food, yet they have the money to go to the mall and buy vape juice and other luxuries. If they can afford their luxuries, they can afford to purchase food from grocery stores ?”
“I've listened for decades to AIO, remembering when we got a free cassette from Chick-fil-A with a kids meal. One of their stories inspired me to ask Jesus into my heart as a child. Finally got to go and have this wonderful and fun experience first hand. Puts my imagination to the test to what I think in my head as I hear the stories. Brought my growing family to this wonderful experience as well. Great bookstore, for all ages of Christian books.”
“Far better than the one downtown even though the showers a little different but you don't have the rude individuals that are downtown YMCA had a couple of run-ins down there truly don't want to go back”

“The sisters were super kind and welcoming. I spent one night as a personal retreat, participated in prayer times and meals, and felt the peace and hospitality of Christ there.”
“700,000 of us in El Paso County sleep better every night because we know that this group of super brave (award winning) volunteers has our backs on all of our crazy adventures.”
“I have had two experiences so far with two different age groups, and both recreational. With my little one (7 yo) everything was perfect, a lot more practice needed but it was good. With the other one (13) everything was good still but the female coach would not shut up and constantly yell even in games. I would say it is a good club compared to others in the area. I have not tried competitive, but for recreational it was a good deal.”
“It truly is the friendliest and oldest VFW Post in Colorado springs....Family friendly and an awesome place to meet new friends... Veterans and other Patriots alike!”
“We had a blast at Whit's End and the play area today. I have kids ages 1.5 - 12, and they all enjoyed our visit. Whit's End Soda Shoppe has reasonably priced ice cream and soft serve as well as some hot/savory foods available. There weren't a ton of gluten-free options, but we were able to get chili, nachos, and hot dogs without buns. The play area has a lot of different rooms and things to do. There is a climbing/ slide play structure kind of like what you'd find in a Chick-fil-A, a plane you can go inside, a cave and tunnel, a small stage with theater- style seats and costumes, a puppet show stage, a play room for toddlers with a half-door you can close so they don't escape, and more. They also have a three- story slide which is a ton of fun, but it's currently closed for repairs. We'll have to do the slide the next time we come through Colorado Springs, because last time we came, it was a huge hit.”
“My time with YWAM COS doing a DTS was such a blessed experience. We had teachers come from all over the world share on biblical knowledge and a variety if themes. The staff were all really friendly and engaged in helping you to make the most of your time in the DTS, as well as encouraging you to really spend time with God. When completing outreach (to South East Asia) the base insured us (though communication of what we were ensured for was not ideal), they sent other staff to do midway debriefs to acknowledge any issues and to help grow the effectiveness as a team. We were also debriefed once returning to COS, individually and as a team.
One thing to note, though, as an international, is that this base isn't massively international compared to other bases. My DTS was 85% American, which is fine but can be challenging to be one of the few internationals- so keep that in mind if you are considering the YWAM COS base for a DTS or other school.
The base itself is an old hotel which is going through renovations to update it. The rooms are bunk beds but are spacious and good rooms. The coffee shop Kairos is also located on the campus, so it's a nice spot to do bible studies or spend time with friends. There are plenty of fast food restaurants walking distance from the campus, as well as 7/11 and Dollar Tree. Just up the road is the beautiful garden of the gods, which offers beautiful walks in nature.”
“I suffered from PTSD over half of my life, I was so angry and bitter over circumstances I had faced throughout my life. I was told time and time again that there is no cure, that the nightmares would always be there and so would the flashbacks, and that the grief was just going to be a part of my daily life. I am so happy to say, they were absolutely wrong. It was a beautiful February morning in Florida, the birds were singing and not a cloud in the sky when I laid the old man down! God is absolutely using this program and every single individual associated with it. I am completely healed! My life has been changed forever, and I am so thankful for it. I was truly at the end of my rope, I remember hearing a voice saying that I would not make it to Christmas. I remember praying to God and telling Him that if He wanted me to continue on that He was going to have to show me a way. I was listening to the lies that was pumped into me time and time again. I was merely existing, but now I’m living! I will never forget the day John called me and said that the Holy Spirit told him to call me. Since my Drop Zone the nightmares are over, I was able to walk up to a fire and not hear screaming and people begging me for their lives. I truly felt peace, for the first time in my life. I am a different man, my love for my family is so much stronger. I have fallen in love with my wife again, I see her in a much different light, her beauty has become breathtaking. I am also a better father to my son. Trust the program, trust the facilitators never give up, and most importantly trust that God will change your heart. I promise you He will, He will meet you in the middle of your darkness and pain, you don’t have to be a slave to this hurt and pain anymore!”
“This organization is fantastic and professional.Hannah and Jayden took great care of my son when I needed occasional childcare due to work. They are very communicative and I can't recommend them enough!! Thanks”
“I met these guys on the greenway Trail. I cycle this Trail numerous times throughout the week. I have noticed a huge Improvement as far as trash and litter. I'm grateful for the work these guys are doing. Huge piles of trash are being removed. I know it's a lot of work and they took the time out to talk to me about it. They had really great attitudes. Thank you!”
“The services these people provide to local students is amazing. We have been to camps and field trips with them and I am always impressed with their kindness and patience, but also their understanding of ecology and nature.”
“They take care of so many needs, it really takes a load off of family caregivers. They call me reliably to set schedules and respond to our requests in a timely manner.”
“My wife and I sponsored a child with the program for the last 15 years, and he recently graduated from the program. So I ended the sponsorship for now. But it was a pleasant experience all throughout! We are considering picking up another sponsorship in the future. The letters from our sponsored child are so memorable and show us directly how we made an impact.”
“We stopped here on the tour bus from garden of gods to see the castle. Ended up ordering a mocha and some tea from the food shop there. They both were prepared correctly. There was no refrigerator magnet of the castle though, but lots of sheep and a beautiful castle we saw from the outside.”
“I cannot say enough good things about how much The Arc advocate, Pete, helped me and my son. We were able to get an IEP in place for my son at school that we would not have been able to do without his help. I am so very grateful to them for all their services and guidance. Thank you!”
“Last Saturday I stopped by this lovely store, and everyone I interacted with was so friendly and helpful. I found a few really cool items that I ended up purchasing, and I’ll definitely be back. Checkout was quick and easy, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.”
