“We dropped in and were welcomed warmly and shown the warehouse and allowed to shop. Mac was very friendly even though very busy. Were were hoping to meet Tim, but were told he was busy working on a newsletter. We shopped for ARC parts and were very impressed with their organization and inventory. Upon checking out, Tim came out to use the facilities and then swung by the sales counter and chatted with us for a bit. We thanked him for all his contributions. He did look a little tired (from all that writing) so we did not bother him for a selfie. But know that we REALLY appreciate him taking the time. Give this guy your business. They are a little bit more, but this is funding so much educational content that he gives away. His newsletters and you-tube channel are a go to resource. So don't sweat it, give this guy your $$$. Model rocketry is a awesome way to get kids (and adults) off their phones to build and flying rockets. Funny thing; the newsletter he was writing that day was about getting kids off their phones and making memories building rockets. He is VERY correct. Kudos to Apogee !!”
“I wanted to take some time and shout out Muse. I have been playing Magic in local game shops in the springs for over 15 years and I often get asked by people where to go. Since day one, Muse has had a solid reputation and been a gold standard for class, community and cleanliness. While comic books may be the big draw for some, for me it will always be the prereleases and FNMs. Muse always has great events with people who quickly become fierce friends and competitors. While initially their squeaky reputation and family friendly atmosphere caused some eyes to roll, I fully appreciate a shop where people are respected and never have to fear harassment or alienation. For George, for the community, for the limited but banger singleton collection Muse easily earns 5 stars!”
“I wanted to give a shout out to Sarah who works in fabrics at the store on Powers and Carefree. I was there just before closing time - typically NOT the best time to expect great customer service! I was looking for something I could put on tables to help soften the sound of a cup routine we were doing for my parent’s 70th anniversary party. Sarah recommended a few different materials and then premeasured them to ensure there was enough fabric. She then went and grabbed a cup so we could test the sound on the different materials. She worked up estimates on the cost of each fabric. Once I made my selection, she went to the back room to find an empty roll to put the fabric on so it wouldn’t get creased. No luck there, so she emptied a roll with a small remnant and sent me off with her best wishes and a smile as if it were the first transaction of the day! What a gem! Give this young woman a raise!”
