Rio Grande Co Design Center is a business that offers a wide selection of materials and supplies for remodeling and construction projects, especially fireplaces. It is considered a better choice than big-box stores for professionals and serious DIYers, thanks to its extensive selection and knowledgeable staff. Customers appreciate the helpfulness of the staff, who provide ideas, order samples, and assist in making final decisions. Many reviews highlight positive experiences with staff members who are friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help, making visits enjoyable and productive. The store is especially praised for its beautiful displays of natural and engineered stone, which inspire ideas for fireplace updates and other remodeling projects. Customers often mention that the store offers a more custom and personalized experience compared to commercial suppliers.
However, some reviews mention challenges, such as the lack of pricing information, which can make choosing products a bit difficult. There have been issues with service, particularly related to a stove installation and safety concerns, but in some cases, the business has responded promptly to fix problems and improve customer satisfaction. Overall, Rio Grande Co Design Center is recommended for its impressive selection, helpful staff, and supportive environment for remodeling projects, making it a go-to place for those seeking quality materials and expert advice.
We love using Rio Grande for stone, fireplaces and hardware. They have a beautiful design center with excellent displays to be able to see their product. The reps (especially Katy) are knowledgeable and extremely helpful--including getting us samples quickly. We'd recommend them to anyone!

The design center is huge and has an amazing display of multiple materials for multiple different kinds of projects! Samples were available as well. Katy Kavanas was very knowledgeable and helpful with me and my client. I wouldn't hesitate on sending a client there by themselves to check out products.
