“We purchased our current Sleep Number bed in 2019, but we have actually been Sleep Number customers since 2009. This is our second Sleep Number bed, and until recently, we had been very happy with the company and our beds. Unfortunately, our recent experience with Sleep Number customer service has been extremely disappointing.
We recently had carpet installed, and the installers had to move our bed. When the bed was put back together, it was not put back correctly. We contacted Sleep Number customer service because we believed the bed should be covered under the warranty and wanted to know how to get the problem properly resolved.
Instead of getting helpful answers, we were given a great deal of hassle. The first customer service representative my husband spoke with actually hung up on him when he asked a simple question about how the bed was supposed to be stored when it was taken apart. We called back and spoke with another representative, who told us that we would have to pay for half of the parts and install the parts ourselves if we wanted to repair the bed. We were also told that some of the foam had fallen down.
That was not an acceptable answer to us, so we went to our local Sleep Number store and spoke with the manager. He was surprised by what we had been told and said they had never had a problem like this with customer service before. We explained that, unfortunately, our experience had been anything but helpful. We weren’t asking for anything unreasonable—we simply wanted someone to help us understand what went wrong and how to get our bed back into proper working condition.
We are senior citizens, and the added stress of trying to resolve this situation has been very upsetting and, quite frankly, has not been good for us. We never expected that getting help with a problem involving a bed we had purchased from Sleep Number would become such a frustrating experience.
After being loyal Sleep Number customers since 2009 and purchasing two beds from the company, we expected much better support when a problem occurred. The most frustrating part wasn’t even the bed itself—it was the way we were treated when we reached out for help.
We hope Sleep Number will take this situation seriously and help us get the problem resolved. After 17 years as customers, we would have liked to feel that our business and loyalty meant something.
(As a follow up they sent out techs and they took care of the problem we appreciate the help and the service)”

“I was walking through Walmart at 9pm just strolling through the store already had gotten what I needed. As I was heading out a worker my the name of Hannah came up to me with a smile, positive attitude, and had kindly asked me if I needed help finding anything. I replied with "no I'm ok, thank you". She headed on her way and asked another customer if they needed help. I saw her again while I was checking out of the self checkout and there she was again... happy, smiling, she is the worker that these stores need! It's late, no one thinks to assist anyone this late, but she was awesome! Thank you Hannah!”
