But it is very much worth the extra gas, to get the exemplary service offered at this store. Sales associate Steve, is definitely an employee that deserves five stars for everything that he does. I myself come from a background of retail management, so I have that instinct on who is good and who is a bad lemon. This is someone I would hire in a heart beat.     “First things first. I hate Walmart. I flipping hate the Walmart corporation. We have a single income family, now I make a good salary, so that's not a complaint. What this does is make me want to stretch my bux as much as I can. This place is not your standard megaconglomowalmart that makes you seeth in anger from the moment you step foot in the hell hole that is Walmart. This is a grocery store. I swear I thought I was in a Safeway or a City Market with how nice the employees were. We've all been victim of the prototypical Walmart employee who doesn't know they're @ss from a hole in the ground when you ask them a question, let alone the disgusting attitude of... I work in Walmart, why would I bother talking to you. Surprisingly, you get the opposite when you deal with this place, it's spooky when you think.... These are Walmart employees? WTF? Not kidding, I actually enjoy going into this place, and appreciate every person that works there. I've never had problems with the products in this store, and the employees act like they're not actually from Walmart. Mind blown.”

    “Upon arriving in Grand Junction, Colorado, we checked into our air bnb then went to the #CityMarket to pick up a few necessities that we didn't pack, just to make our stay and our vacation that we all need so badly perfect. Walking around the grocery store, of course, we found more than we went in for, but we noted how super clean, fully stocked up it was. Staff were very pleasantand helpful. We found everything we could possibly want or need. We are looking forward to our stay, this road trip, and having all our family together again, even if it is just for a long weekend, we will take it! It's actually not been that long ago since we were all together. Just a few short years for our nephews wedding. But it seems like so much longer when you miss being together with the family so much. I am looking forward to this weekend, and now #CityMarket has made it extra special.”

    “Grocery store/Asian market connected to a gas station. I am here to let everyone know they have the best donuts in town. I am not a fan of Daylight Donuts and stumbled upon these on accident. Boston cream, vanilla cream filled maple long johns and the jelly filled glaze are my favorites. They have a lot of others as well to try. The best selection is weekend mornings. Service is always quick and friendly.”

    Kroger is spending $112 million to build two new stores and renovate 15 existing locations across central and northwest Ohio. The company calls it a "record-breaking" commitment to the region. The two new Kroger Marketplace stores will rise in Canal Winchester and Delaware, Ohio, each costing roughly $30 million to build. Kroger broke ground on the Canal Winchester location on March 19 at the southeast corner of Diley Road and Greengate Boulevard. The 118,000-square-foot store is expected to open in late fall 2026 and will create around 250 jobs.

    Loblaw Companies Limited is putting serious money into its retail network this year. Canada's largest food and pharmacy retailer announced it will spend $2.4 billion in 2026 to open new stores, renovate existing locations and strengthen its supply chain. The company plans to open 70 new stores in 2026. That includes 34 Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix pharmacies and care clinics, along with 31 hard-discount No Frills and Maxi grocery stores. On top of the new openings, Loblaw will renovate another 191 stores and continue construction on a roughly 1.2 million-square-foot automated distribution center in Caledon, Ontario.
