“My friend's father passed away and we had to donate all of his clothing, shoes, and misc items. We were in a hurry to get going and one employee at the Donation Drop-Off was right there to help unload the pick-up truck full of bagged items. I didn't get the male Hispanic employee's name, but would like to thank him for sensing that we were grieving, lost, and in a hurry. He helped us in so many ways and was very touched by his compassion. Thank you and until we meet again.”

“I recently visited Bluff Lake Nature Center and had a wonderful experience. The area is peaceful, well-preserved, and offers a great escape into nature without having to travel far. “I got my Doberman neutered here, they were all super kind right away. They did a just fine job with his surgery but also filed his nails and looked at some other stuff he had going with his skin and said to bring him back for it when he heals from his neuter. It was a very good experience. There was a lot going on and they were all calm and collected which made for an easier time for the pups.”

“I've never believed in such a thing as a Christmas Miracle... until now.
As a single dad who suffered a stroke when my only child was just eleven months old, I have lived in stress and poverty as the legislative leadership has gradually turned it's back on the desperate and needy. Somehow despite the challenges of surviving on assistance benefits I have managed to still provide the basic needs of my only child of life. Until this year.
Snap benefit delays, atea resource centers aid being cut by politicians on both sides as they work to dismantle our foundations.
I was breaking down. Couldn't sleep couldn't eat and despite trying all year, I had come to this Christmas empty. Hardly a gift in the closet for my daughter's holiday. All I could do was pray.
I knew I had one last shot at it... my scheduled visit at Precious Child. I had hope, but not expectations. Having utilized the services for some time now, I knew in general what to expect. But what I experienced? Was a miracle.
My fears and pain was seen and heard .. that isn’t common these days.. all I know was that a few extra steps from the wonderful volunteers and staff.. . My daughter's Christmas will be magical. She will have gifts that will make her heart shine with light and joy..
I said to myself for weeks, be calm. God will show up... the amazing thing was, He did!

“I have been going to the Refuge since 2016. They have always welcomed us with open arms. We no longer go as much as we used to, but it's still a wonderful place to go just to relax or get something to eat.
We provided lunch, too, before when we them we were able to to give back.

“There are a variety of classes and activities for Seniors that are online and in person. The instructors are friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and reliable. It can be difficult to find as it is in the back of a parking lot and behind buildings.”

“Our family has loved being a part of the monthly events at The Urban Farm. Our kids have participated in the Poultry Club and have gained so many new skills, and most importantly confidence. They have learned how to care for the animals and have developed the ability to confidently present and share their knowledge about their chickens.
The staff is all fantastic. They really care about the animals but they also all seem to have backgrounds in working with kids.
We also love how accessible the farm is, right in the heart of the neighborhood, making it easy for families to stay connected to agriculture, animals, and hands-on learning.
Such a wonderful community resource!”

“Project Angel Heart is a lifesaver. I am on dialysis and afterward I am so tired I can barely get out of bed. It’s so nice to have a nutritious meal that I can pop in the microwave. When my dialysis coordinator set me up to receive meals I didn’t know what to expect. This is my first week and every meal is delicious. You can tell you truly care about providing the best tasting meals. I was eating the high sodium, junk microwave meals before. I feel so much better after eating the meals Projected Angel Heart provides. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. Thank you!!”

“YAAAAAAASSSSSS!!! We recently visited the Biyáál exhibit that they currently have open until the end of January. Beautiful art pieces and the space was very intimate. Jess was so kind and accommodating with all the questions we had. Really enjoyed our time there and we even ended up purchasing a print from Wayne's collection of prints that were available for sale. Go check out the exhibit while you still can. It's SO worth it! I'll be sharing with friends and family to get them to visit.”
