“I've been Big Y shopper for over thirty years. This store is one of the better ones in the chain. All the departments have a great variety of products and are generally full shelves. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating. The store manager doesn't mind getting his hands dirty, as I saw him in the deli taking orders and using the slicers. Yes, its a bit pricey, but overall, what they offer makes up for that.
The only critical comment I have is with the deli and the change over to Boar’s Head. Yes, its a good product line, but way too expensive. I hardly ever use the deli anymore because of that fact. You used to use a good/better/best system there. You need to bring a full range mid-grade back.”

“Cannot recommend this pharmacy enough. I needed a prescription refilled before my vacation and also would need to have it refilled after vacation when there would be no more refills left. Asked if there was any way it could be refilled for 90 days instead of 30 because my followup appointment for the condition was going to be months later. The pharmacist completely understood my somewhat rambling message and dealt with my doctor to get everything straightened out. Can't thank you enough! These guys rock!”
“This place has been around since I've been a little kid ! Absolutely love this place because it's one of the few places in this town where you can buy Spanish foods and items for very good prices and leave happy. It's not a massive store but they have a decent selection for what they can fit, they do sell alcohol in the back and are liscenced to do so, the business is family run to my knowledge and I've never had an issue buying anything from them !”
“The Florist, Paula, did an incredible job on all our wedding bouquets and such for the big day on April 12. She was able to arrange everything for a day earlier, which took some pressure off with last minute details on the events day.”

However, be careful trusting DoorDash as I was no played by the store, the driver tried to take my order. The store owner knew something was up, sent him away and corrected the problem.”

“Last night 10/14/2024 around 7pm we stopped in to get some vegetables. I wanted turnips (not the waxed ones) and leeks. There was a gentleman named Chris working in the produce department. He went out of his way and went in the back and came back with a large bag of turnips. He said he could not find any leeks. It is because of people like Chris that go out of their way to help customers that I enjoy shopping at Big Y.”
“Since the new manager Faith and her crew took over the store .. I have nothing but compliments!! The store is cleaned organized with no rolling carts filling up the isles so you can't get through. I can find everything I need plus more .. items are not out of code now which is amazing in itself!! Not to mention the great customer service at the register... I have been to many dollar general stores all over Connecticut... And this one by far is the best !! Gereral managers please give this stores employees credit where it's due !!
