I really enjoyed our conversation, as it didn't feel stuffy like most other banks. She gave me a lot of knowledge of the bank. I grew up here in Danbury, Connecticut and never realized that Savings Bank of Danbury has been open for a 170 years....wow! Also having attended Danbury High School, I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Hal Wibling's daughters. He is the Chairman of this establishment, and the family integrity is well represented by they banking institution.”

“I got my mortgage and checking account about 2.5 years ago with this bank. apparently several months ago i never noticed my checking account started being charged a 12 dollar monthly maintenance fee. I signed up for the checking to automatically pay the mortgage each month which would waive any fees, for the first 18 months no fees. so of course i thought i signed up for that correctly. little did i know the way i did it did not qualify for the waiver fee. i haven't checked my checking or mortgage account since i opened the account. i have the exact amount i need deposited into the account to pay the mortgage. Well now with this fee my checking account went negative one month (-0.17) i never noticed. never even noticed the 12 dollar fees in there either until yesterday. My mortgage was never paid in September and my automatic payment failed to go through and i was charged another 120.58 late fee for not paying the mortgage by the 15th. the money was in there, automatic payment set up. The issue was the account was never set up automatically to pay the mortgage payment connected to escrow. So apparently when the taxes went up and monthly payment increased by ~28 dollars the automatic payment failed because it was not for that exact amount. after speaking with someone they were able to waive the late mortgage payment fee. Then the checking account they were able to waive the fees as well. If i knew my account wasnt set up properly i would have fixed it right away. no one called or emailed me informing me something was wrong and i was being charged fees. i just feel a mortgage payment is stressful enough now the added stress of having to check my account every month to make sure the bank isnt pulling a fast one on us. no one wants to pay a fee. i have NEVER paid a bank fee since i opened my first checking account back in 2007. i have always read the fine print, so I'm surprised i missed whatever it was to put me in this fee paying situation. i was very pleased with Humberto the manager of the Danbury Savings Bank who called me explain how it was inaccurately set up from the beginning. the account has since been fixed to make sure no payments are missed so I don't have to worry about missing a payment again. I was happy to find out they were able to reimburse all fees which I was charged due to the mistake. This branch has done a good job keeping this customer happy despite the little hiccup. They do a great job!”

Don’t worry he gets it back from his staff just as much as he gives it (I’ve been there during those times, actually yesterday LOLOL) This branch is awesome! The staff is always so friendly and courteous, the environment is such a fun environment BECAUSE of the staff. Both of the managers are VERY helpful and efficient with ALL my banking transactions and business accounts. I live in Oxford and I’m 68 years old and I always choose to go out of the way to come to this one especially because I can make a Target run right after! I have numerous business accounts at Webster and this branch always goes to the moon with helping me. The bankers are VERY knowledgeable! Evelyn is amazing and Samara is SUPER sweet! Also, I’ve been to a lot of Webster branches and this one is honestly top notch. If Google would let me give them more stars I will!!!!!!!”

“Today I went to this Chase Branch to cash in about 40 US Savings Bonds. Jose, who helped me was absolutely calm, polite, and diligent, in getting all of them cashed. The other teller, Nancy, then had to deal with many customers because I was taking up all of Jose's time. She was also amazing in dealing with so many people. “We newly opened the bank joint account around November 2024 in Webster bank. And unfortunately somehow our bank account got compromised within a month of opening the account. Someone was making purchases and paying their credit card bills using our joint account. We reported this incident after we came across looking at the statements. So they blocked the account and refunded our lost money within a week of reporting. They promised to refund the charges taken for checkbook.
Carla, she is their new employee helped us during this process. She is really nice, she made this hectic process easy and less stressful for us. Because of that reason we decided to open a new account with Webster.”
