“Palmer's Market is a charming supermarket that is a cross between Balducci's and DeCicco & Sons supermarkets. It's also always fun browsing Palmer's aisles and finding obscure but delightful new food products! Palmer's Michelin-quality bakery is far better than Balducci's and DeCicco, which are your standard grocery store bakery with lower quality and extra cheap, sugar-laden baked goods. Palmer's Very Vanilla Buttercream Yellow Cake is so decadent, super moist, and has great aesthetics! Their beautifully golden Blueberry Muffins - Blueberry Explosion- also have double the amount of perfect tart blueberries than other Blueberry Muffins elsewhere. Insanely yum! When it comes to the Holidays, I also use Palmer's impeccable, highly responsive Catering Team, and my Thanksgiving 2023 Dinner was delicious and effortless. For Christmas 2023, their Santa cupcakes with the sugar topping were so indelibly good!”

“There’s a gentleman with gray hair working in deli/prepared foods who was just great when I was in earlier today. I ordered one thing and he was very thoughtful, offering to let me choose the precise item I wanted. When I said I wasn’t too picky, he still selected a particular one, ran it by me, and said “I picked this one for you, because it looks great and I thought you’d enjoy it!” Anyone else would’ve probably not even looked. I appreciated him in our interaction, and I just hope he’s just as appreciated by those working at this store!”

“Aside from the too high prices, the staff is extraordinary! John the manager is exceptional, also. He doesn't 'point' to item locations, he takes you. He'll answer questions without seeming annoyd, also. However, been waiting 3 years to hear from a district manager to compliment the store, especially John. Three emails, three calls to customer service and nothing as of 3/15/26. Imagine if I had complaints/negatives towards the Darien store!”
