“Margie Satell at Ethan Allen Furniture is a gem.
I had been searching for a bedroom dresser for months with no success. Margie was so warm and welcoming, listened to my thoughts and showed me several possibilities, along with samples of available stains. She even came out to my house so I could see the samples in the actual setting, which made a huge difference. I am so appreciative of her knowledge, her guidance, and her patience. I recommend her without reservation. I look forward to receiving my new furniture in a couple months.

“Primitive Renditions is a MUST shop to visit. So many Primitive decorating items, Amish made tables, chairs, stools, cabinets, upholstered furniture, (many colors and finishes available to order) curtains, placemats, runners, lamps, candles, floral, greenery and so so much more. Awesome seasonal decor! Even if you aren't looking for Primitive decor there is something for everyone. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable to help you find just what you are looking for.”

“Pompanoosuc Mills is magnificent! When my wife and I were renovating our dining room, we searched at length for a company that employed American carpenters and cabinetmakers, used sustainably harvested wood supplied by American lumber companies, and sold furniture directly to their customers at competitive prices. Pompanoosuc met these criteria. We visited its store in West Hartford, Connecticut and asked for guidance in selecting several pieces of furniture, including a table, chairs, sideboard, and console. Kristen, the saleswoman, devoted hours to our exploration and related inquiries. She was very knowledgeable. Equally important, she was patient. Our interactions with her were always pleasant; we would not have realized the objectives of our renovation without her thoughtful guidance. After we submitted our order, Kristen and the store’s manager, Rebekah, were conscientious in keeping us informed throughout the manufacturing process. On delivery day, my wife and I were impressed by Ian and Nate as they carried the furniture from their large Pompanoosuc truck the length of our driveway to our house. They arrived with hearty handshakes, took off their shoes to avoid damaging the floors, and positioned the furniture exactly as we requested. And every piece of furniture was perfect!All aspects of our experience as customers of Pompanoosuc Mills were spectacular. The company would be a worthy subject at business schools analyzing the culture of excellence - - trustworthiness, customer-focused service, and passionate workforce. Dwight Sargent, who founded Pompanoosuc Mills approximately 50 years ago, remains involved in the business. “Excellent lighting store with more than enough options! They also have decor and other home needs.I personally used them to do a restoration of a 50+ year old lamp. Price came out to much less than I expected and the lamp is now in perfect working order. Highly recommend for lamp restoration/repair.Employees are welcoming and kind. The store is pet friendly. Parking lot is a shared lot.”

“We were so impressed with our overall experience with updating our Living Room and Bonus Rooms at Bassett Furniture! We met our designer, Connor, who listened to what we wanted. He then made an appointment to visit our home and mixed our ideas with his design expertise and created exactly what we wanted! Not only did Conner demonstrate a keen talent for design, he presented with respect and a pleasant sense of humor every step of the way! To top it all off, the day our furniture was delivered he came to our house alongside the movers and helped arrange our furniture just how we wanted it! We felt our furniture made such an upgrade to our home we decided to replace our window treatments to make the look complete. We are so happy we walked into Bassett Furniture and now have two rooms filled with good quality furniture we enjoy every day!

“The outside is very deceptive, it looks like it would be a small little shop, but when you walk in you'll realize the business extends far back into the building. If you're an antique lover you'll lose your cool walking in here. The selection of items is rather staggering. Great old furniture, nick knacks, jewelry, watches, an impressive assortment of odds and ends. It's easy to lose track of time while browsing around in there. Picked up a couple of Tom Jones vinyl records and they're awesome. She's a lady! Whoa whoa whoa, she's a lady!”

The prices are reasonable, you just have to shop wisely. Some items have awesome deals. We purchased an 8x10 area rug for only $ 299.00. The rug was high quality and looks absolutely beautiful. The outdoor patio cushions were on sale at amazing prices. We spent way too much money! Cannot wait to return back. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Ten stars for sure!”
